Nayralph is the het ship between Ralph and Nayru from The Legend of Zelda fandom.
Canon[]
When Link and Impa arrive within the heart of the forest of time, Nayru is singing as the animals watch and listen with Ralph at her side and Nayru introduces herself as the Oracle of Ages, while Ralph does the same thing, but he does not want Link's help in defending Nayru. Shortly after, Impa is revealed to be possessed by Veran, the Sorceress of Shadow who was seeking the Oracle of Ages and possesses Nayru. Ralph immediately draws out his rapier and threatens her but is forced to back down when Veran warns him that he will only harm Nayru and not herself before traveling back in time to disrupt history in Labrynna. Ralph remembers being friends with her ever since they were young and resolves to pursue her into the past with the only active time portal that Veran accidentally left behind. During Link's journey, all Ralph does is wander around looking for an opportunity to get into Queen Ambi's Palace to save Nayru rather than tagging along with Link, who was gathering the Essences of Time and when he does meet up with Link, he gives helpful advice before taking off.
Once Ralph notifies Link that Queen Ambi left the palace, they head there and Link managed to free Nayru from Veran's influence, only for the sorceress to possess the returning Ambi and attempts to have them imprisoned, only for Nayru to teleport them all to the present age. Ralph realized how he did little to help Link and apologized for not being involved. Later, Ralph finds himself worrying for Nayru and seeks to do anything to really protect her and makes the resolve to return to the past age to kill Veran, while she is still possessing Queen Ambi, as Impa reveals, who is his ancestor and if she dies, he will cease to exist which she tried to stop him but failed. Link manages to reach the Black Tower where Ralph fights the possessed Ambi but is quickly defeated with Veran sparing him as she sneers that Queen Ambi's death will result in Ralph's own death. Link instead uses the Mystery Seeds to release Ambi, but Veran takes him to another room for the final battle, but the hero is finally able to destroy her for good. After Labrynna's history returns to normal, Ralph asks Link for some lessons so he can help better protect Nayru. During the Linked Game ending, Ralph and Nayru can be seen running with a group of children.
Fanon[]
Nayralph is somewhat uncommon due to each of the characters' minimal notability amongst the Zelda community which tend to be overshadowed by several other characters within the series. However, those who played or fondly remember playing the Oracle series have gotten around to shipping Ralph and Nayru, which also extends to fan art made of them. Ralph is most notable with his obsession with saving Nayru both in the games and in the manga, though their relationship is at a healthy level, and he only acts like this when she is in genuine danger, while Nayru tends to be dotting towards him when he acts younger than his current age. There had been some hints of romance between them, subtly in the games when the two of them are running together with the kids and more noticeable in the manga when Ralph, out of anger and jealousy, accuses Link of trying to steal Nayru from him when he wanted to protect her and getting all emotional when they finally reunite with her. The manga shows Nayru fearing for Ralph when he foolishly heads to the Black Tower to destroy Veran while she is possessing Ambi, due to her knowledge of his direct lineage to her as it would result in him erasing his existence and urges Link and his ancestor Sir Raven to stop him before he goes through with it and speeds up the growth on Roperi's Mystery Tree sprout to spawn a single seed for Link to use to free Ambi, also making Ralph stop in his tracks at the last moment.
