Needickel is the het ship between Needle and Nickel from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.

Battle for Dream Island Again[]
When their team W.O.A.H. Bunch falls into the spikes of Evil Canyon, Needle balances on top of a spike with Nickel and their teammates hanging on top of her. After using Spongy as a platform, Nickel follows the team on calling Needle "Needy", causing him to get slapped onto the other side of the canyon. Realizing that they still need to get Needle up with them, Nickel suggests killing her so they can recover her with the Hand-powered Recovery Center.
Pin shares to Needle that she's thinking of putting Coiny and Nickel next to each other to see what happens. After Pin does so, a portal opens up and Needle wonders whether they should go in or not. Confused at first, Coiny and Nickel's portal generates dozens of dollars and coins to the delight of Needle and Pin.
After Needle and Coiny recover Team No-Name, Nickel compliments Needle's fast cranking abilities. Being thanked by her, Nickel asks if he can call her Cranklord, which Needle disallows. Nickel says he won't and calls her Needy instead, prompting Needle to slap him repeatedly. At the start of the challenge, Needle likes Nickel's plan of finding the largest building to sleep in since they are the largest team. Cozy at the aerospace manufacturing plant, Needle tells Nickel not to worry if he's adopted or not when Yellow Face hints so and tells him it's time to sleep. He agrees and as the two wish each other a good night, Needle complains about a raindrop hitting her, making Nickel hope that she can sleep through it. Later when Needle feels another drop, Nickel gets hit with one as well and they realize a cloud is directly above them. Nickel tells the team that they have to get rid of the cloud if they want to sleep, leading Needle to find a dehumidifier pipe to help them. Later on when Nickel complains about FreeSmart stealing their blankets and pillows, Needle gets the idea to tell spooky stories to prevent them from sleeping.
Needle uses a magnet to pull Coiny and Nickel over to the Cake at Stake place. At the start of the challenge, Nickel asks Needle for an idea on how they'll build their team's loser chamber. Needle recalls the cool tech inside of the aerospace manufacturing plant they tried to sleep in last challenge, thinking they should disassemble them and use the metal to build their loser chamber. Nickel is on board with the idea and gets the team to go to the top of the building. However, Needle tells Nickel that she's worried about the overflowing water covering the ships. After clearing up the water, Needle and Coiny follow Nickel's orders of dismantling the ships. Nickel instructs them to fold the metal into a box shape and Needle grabs handcuffs for them to use when Nickel asks for some. Needle is impressed and when she asks him why he wants the chamber to be so cruel, Nickel reasons that Firey Speaker Box wants the chamber to be as secure as possible. She is amazed at the final product and eagerly adds more crushers when Nickel orders adding more. At the end of the challenge, Needle gives Nickel and the rest of the team fiery hot chili peppers as celebration for winning.
During the painting challenge, Nickel works together with Spongy and Needle to throw Bomby at the tower, covering it with purple paint. Afterwards when Puffball Speaker Box berates W.O.A.H. Bunch because she ends up not finding any of their team's paint color, Needle and Nickel glare at each other over her confusion and get angry at Gelatin for causing them to lose.
During Cake at Stake, Needle expresses her worries of being eliminated to Nickel and asks him how he handles it. Nickel realizes he doesn't know either and becomes scared as well. The two are then approached by Yellow Face who shows off his new Win Token printer to them. Nickel doesn't know what a Win Token is, so Needle explains to him how they originated before his time and their function of voiding half of the user's votes. When the two end up in the bottom four in the voting, Needle points this out to Nickel and asks him he thinks Yellow Face can lend some Win Tokens to them. Nickel is doubtful of this, and the two are revealed the next safe nonetheless. The two proudly catch their plane tickets and take off from the Clubhouse of Awesomeness with them. Afterwards, Nickel uses his paint thinning machine on himself and Needle to remove the pink paint on them. In the charades challenge when Nickel panics from being put in the game's trash compactor, Needle wonders if Nickel realizes they can't hear him when he's inside. Nickel and Needle later share laughs with Bomby and Pin over the gestures they're given. Nickel correctly guesses that Needle was imitating Puffball and Nickel is put into the machine next, asked to gesture Nonexisty. He interprets this as doing nothing, making Needle think that he doesn't understand the rules of the game. Needle asks Pin to forgive him for not knowing, and Nickel is later crushed when none of the members are able to guess this.
Nickel and the rest of the contestants crushed from the charades challenge are recovered by Needle and Pencil. The two and the rest of W.O.A.H. Bunch switch over to FreeSmart to become The Beautiful Face Devotion Institute. For the challenge, Golf Ball splits up the team and puts Pencil, Nickel, and Needle in charge of marketing for their ice cream shop. Walking up the stairs to the roof of Gelatin's Steakhouse, Nickel asks Needle why she's bringing her Ice Cube bowl up who explains she wants to keep an eye on it. After Pencil accidentally calls Nickel by another name, Needle jokes that it's because he's adopted. She invites Pencil and Nickel to make decorations for the ice cream with her, which they accept. A montage shows the three drawing posters promoting their ice cream which they stick onto the steakhouse.
After the original W.O.A.H. Bunch switches back to their own team, they plan on upgrading their Bad Face Destruction Institute name they came up with earlier. Needle enjoy's Nickel's addition of the words "open aperture" to describe their hatred of Ice Cube's face. They end up coming up with the same name, although this time short for Water's Open Aperture Hater Bunch. Later when Nickel calls out the new host Flower for not following the rules of using a contest wheel, Needle slaps Nickel and warns him not to upset Flower at all, calling her terrifying. For the challenge, Nickel tells the team to go underwater to search for Flower's keys. Needle starts to become worried because of her lung capacity not being too good. After given a snorkel by Bomby to use underwater, Needle finds Nickel drowning and urges someone to give him a snorkel to use. However, Bomby begins to drown after giving his snorkel to Nickel, who in turn gives his up as well when Needle is worried for Bomby. When Nickel begins to drown again, Needle is about to point out her concern until Coiny interrupts her to focus on Pin. Needle later grows tired of point out who's drowning and asks Nickel and Bomby to figure it out themselves.
When FreeSmart gets the choice of picking someone to switch to their team, Pencil rejects Nickel's offer of being chosen and picks Needle instead. Later when Nickel is unsure of how to win the dodgeball insanity challenge, Needle reads off the instructions screen where they learn only one team can be immune.
The Power of Two[]
During the balance beam challenge, Needle finds Nickel and his team Just Not underneath the bar. Nickel blows a raspberry at her and tells her she wasn't invited, getting kicked in the mouth by her for it. Bomby scolds her for hitting Nickel, who in turn threatens to hit them both. After kicking Bomby and Book out of the beam, Needle charges after Nickel and Price Tag as the two run away from her. When Yellow Face intervenes and causes Needle to fall off the balance beam, Nickel thanks him for saving him and Price Tag from Needle.
Fanon[]
The ship is fairly rare in the Battle for Dream Island fandom. The pairing mainly emerged during the BFDIA revival era, since their friendship in the show ended up getting heavily expanded on there. As a result, ship art has emerged of them mostly in similarities with their team dynamic as well as videos on YouTube representing this. While not the case with all fans, some see them in a family-like dynamic because Needle often jokes about Nickel being adopted, especially in the sense with fans who ship Needle with someone else. The pairing is usually rivaled by other W.O.A.H. Bunch ships involving them, such as Coineedle and Bombickel.
