Needlefries is the het ship between Needle and Fries from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.

Battle for Dream Island Again[]
While looking for Bomby, Needle approaches Fries and asks him of his whereabouts. As Fries is quick to decline knowing anything, Needle checks down his digging hole and finds Bomby working for him, who she calls out for helping their opposing team. Fries tells Needle to put Bomby down and orders her to start digging for him as well. Being called Needy, Needle slaps Fries who in turn gently puts a shovel in her hand. Needle digs underground for him for the remainder of the challenge.
In the following challenge, Needle tests out Bomby's banana snorkels underwater. Fries twists the snorkel to prevent her from breathing shortly before Bomby kicks him away to fix Needle's snorkel. Later after Needle finds Flower's keys underwater, she is pulled away by Tennis Ball's magnet where Fries is able to take the keys away from her.
In the trinket challenge while Needle is protecting W.O.A.H. Bunch's dirt cake, Tennis Ball drags Needle down into Fries' digging hole. She loses grip of the dirt cake and it ends up in Fries' hand, causing her team to lose the challenge. Right as Fries is about to eat the dirt cake. Needle lands on it and stabs it into the ground, making Fries complain about how he'll starve.
After the remaining contestants get into a fight over who should team up with Needle, she quickly gets fed up and lands next to Fries, the only one not involved in trying to take her. Needle offers to team up with Fries, though he seems disgusted by the offer. However, the two agree to team up and form the new team FriesMart after Fries hears Book worrying about being the only FreeSmarter left. The next challenge is announced to have all of their team members look like their true appearances. Needle quickly scans herself in the scanner and puts Fries in it after she passes. The scanner buzzes him as Fries is still bioluminescent, making Fries wonder how she thought it would work. Tennis Ball gives the two the idea to kill Fries and recover him to restore his true appearance, which Fries agrees with. As Needle asks how he wants to die, Fries suddenly grabs a giant block and accidentally kills Needle with it. Realizing his mistake, Fries grabs the block and crushes himself with it, leaving the team dead. Later after the algae that made him bioluminescent regenerates him, Fries recovers Needle and tells her his plan to get Evil Leafy to make him red. Needle doubts the plan at first but goes along with it when Fries insists.
After calling Evil Leafy with his phone does not work, Fries later gets Needle's attention to ask how they'll find her then. Needle is suddenly given a Leafy Detector by Pencil and Fries is amazed by Needle's find. While Needle tries to tell him it's not hers, Fries uses the device and determines that Evil Leafy is in Yoyle City, telling Needle to follow him as he makes his way there. In the city, Needle tries talking to Fries about feeling conflicted over which team she should side with. Fries doesn't listen and tells Needle to focus on the challenge after she gets irritated by being ignored. Needle points out that it wouldn't make sense for Evil Leafy to be in the city given she last saw her underground, saying to Fries that she would have made it to the city within a day. Fries climbs a tree to get a better vantage point as Needle follows him up there, though the two are unable to see anything. Book then suddenly takes Fries and runs away with him. Needle contemplates if she should go after Fries and decides to do so because he is her teammate. Needle chases Book out of the city to get Fries back before a crack from underground opens up and startles them. Coiny and Pin emerge from underground and go after Fries as well to get their yoylite back, making Needle yell at them for taking her teammate. Evil Leafy appears from underground as well which answers Fries' question of where she was, though Needle is confused on why the detector was leading them to the city. After successfully taking Fries back from Coiny, Needle holds Fries up for Evil Leafy who then possesses Fries and turns him red. Needle takes Fries to the scanner and ends up getting buzzed. Frustrated that she had to face Evil Leafy for no reason, Evil Leafy teleports out of Fries and causes Needle to leap away out of fear.
Fries and Needle open up the FriesMart store where they and the New & Improved Supershop compete to get Pin as their customer. After Fries successfully gets Pin to his store, Needle informs the rival shop that they will have to close down. During Cake at Stake, Fries is immune while Needle ends up in the bottom two against Nickel. After Fries tells Nickel that he wishes him safe, Needle is offended and points out that he's not even on his team. Fries acknowledges this and explains he just doesn't want Needle safe. After Needle is announced the last one safe, Fries gets on the floor and punches the ground out of frustration. Afterwards when Tennis Ball is given the choice to disband either FriesMart or W.O.A.H. Bunch, Fries begs for Tennis Ball to split them up and Needle is irritated when Tennis Ball jokingly struggles to decide. After Tennis Ball splits up W.O.A.H. Bunch instead, Fries splits away from the team and Needle is upset that he didn't like working with her. Fries adds that he doesn't like working with anyone in general, although he gives Needle a spoon from his shop as a reward for opening up business with him. Needle angrily slices him with the spoon and Fries tells Tennis Ball afterwards that he wouldn't recommend teaming with Needle when he considers doing so.
In the sky-lighting challenge, Needle runs up the lighthouse to activate her third and last beacon as Fries is at the top activating his second beacon. He quickly sees Needle running up the stairs and throws one of his fries at her to stop her from getting up. As Needle yells at him for it, Fries reasons that he wants to win, which Needle accepts and challenges him for it. Fries continues to throw bits of his fries down the staircase as Needle dodges them. After Needle makes it to the top, Fries throws the last of his fries at her and further tries to stop him by launching the steak he got from Cake at Stake at her. Right as Needle becomes enraged, Fries finds a shovel and smacks her, pinning her down to the ground. Fries mocks her and calls her Needy, causing Needle to launch Fries away into pieces with the shovel. After the contestants realize that they are allowed to turn off each others' beacons, the six remaining come up with a plan on how to take on the challenge where Needle's is to outrun everyone and Fries is to kill everyone. As Needle approaches the elevator that Fries has just come down from, she tells him to move out of the way only to be split in half by Fries' shovel. Later after Fries finds Needle on top of the watchtower, she tells him to turn off Tennis Ball's beacon only to find that he has manipulated the electrical circuit of the levers. Pin ends up switching all six of them on, leaving everyone to have only one light away from winning the challenge. Coiny and Pin take the elevator down and Fries and Needle are left stuck on top of the watchtower. Book offers the two a lift with her wings and Needle is delighted by the offer, though Fries is annoyed by Book and proceeds to blind her. Needle scolds Fries for refusing her help, though Fries tells her that he simply found doing so funny. Fries then realizes that he can use the grappling hook on Needle to take them to the last tower, though Fries dies from hitting the ground too hard and Needle is left stuck on the tower's pole.

Needlefries had emerged as a rarepair around the time of the revival of Battle for Dream Island Again. Early art saw the two enjoying their dynamic with Needle comforted by Fries' yapping being an example. The ship saw much increase in recognition after the two formed their own team in the season, where they are seen to have strong efforts in winning together, though only for the episode they teamed up in. Though the team was disbanded the next episode, shippers of the two still appreciated the depiction of their team dynamic in the season and it saw the respect from rarepair shippers particularly on Twitter. Fans regarding the ship also jokingly called the scenes of them showing the two having a toxic dating relationship, with the team being broken up described as "lovers to enemies". The pairing is rivaled during the time with ships such as Evilfries and Needlecil.
