Nessporky is the slash ship between Ness and Porky from the EarthBound fandom.
Canon[]
EarthBound[]
Ness and Porky are neighbours who live at the outskirts of Onett. After the meteor crashes into the top of the hill, Ness sneaks outside to see it. He runs into Porky, who's trying to get past the police barrier to see it as well. He tells Ness not to "rubberneck" and go home because he's getting in the way of the cops, and that he'll tell him all about the meteorite the next day.
Soon after Ness returns home and goes back to sleep, Porky knocks on the door with his annoying knock. Ness answers the door, and Porky tells Ness that Picky went missing and he wants Ness to help find him, because Ness is his "bestest friend". If Ness refuses, Porky threatens to say something to Ness that will "cut him like a knife". If Ness refuses again, Porky tells Ness he won't say something mean after all. Finally, when Ness agrees to help find Picky, Porky joins Ness' party. Although, while they climb the hill fighting wild animals, Porky is useless in battle. They retrieve Picky and go back home, and Ness hears Aloysius take his sons upstairs and beat them. Ness can talk to Porky afterward, but Porky just makes a comment about the punishment he just received.
Somehow Porky becomes an associate of the Happy Happyism cult. He and Ness meet when Ness first exits the Peaceful Rest Valley shack where Paula is being held prisoner. Porky assumes that Ness is just there to bother him, and thinks that Ness is going to get in the way of him becoming an important person in the cult. Porky tells Ness he should join the cult, even though he knows he won't. Porky then sends a couple cultists to fight Ness for him while he leaves. After Ness rescues Paula, Porky remarks to Ness that he somehow woke up from the nightmare of the cult. He asks for Ness to be friends with him again, promising to be good, then seems surprised when Ness appears to agree to it. He then laughs, saying he lied and bids Ness a less than pleasant goodbye.
They later meet again in Fourside, after rescuing Paula from the Monotoli building. Just as the three heroes are about to use the helicopter to travel to Summers, Porky flies away in it, sticking his head out of the window to taunt them.
In Ness' Magicant, Porky tells Ness that he envies him for being so lucky, while he has no luck himself. He asks to be friends forever, suggesting that Ness still remembers Porky from before he was corrupted by evil and wishes they could be friends again.
When the Chosen Four go back in time to stop Giygas, they find Porky in front of the Devil's Machine. Porky asks Ness if he's surprised that he is there, and makes fun of Ness for looking pathetic in his robot body. He tells Ness that while he and his friends made it to this point, they will be defeated by Giygas. A battle with Porky and the Devil's Machine begins. After dealing enough damage to Porky, he turns off the Devil's Machine so the heroes can see just how terrifying Giygas is. After they attack Giygas for some time, Porky asks if they want to scream for help even though they are alone. Porky taunts Ness, telling him to call for his "mommy" and "daddy". Once Giygas becomes mortally wounded by everyone's collective prayers, Porky addresses Ness, saying it's going to seem like he's running away, but he's just going to sneak away to another era, and there's a good chance the two of them will meet again. He departs with a "be seeing you" and asks who he thinks is the cool guy now.
After Ness makes it back home at the end of his journey, he receives a letter from Porky that says "Come and get me, loser!" followed by his signature "Spankety, spankety, spankety."
Mother 3[]
Porky clearly still thinks about Ness, even though Ness is likely dead at this point and Porky is in a completely different universe altogether. He creates a hall in the Empire Porky Building displaying various objects from Ness' journey, sells a red baseball cap and baseball bat just like Ness' in one of the shops, and has a movie theatre that plays a movie documenting Ness' travels. He also has a playroom in Thunder Tower that houses a yoyo dubbed the "Friend's Yoyo", and is incredibly important to him as it's protected by a glass case and a killer robot maid.
Super Smash Bros[]
Porky appears briefly in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a boss during the Subspace Emissary. His Pig King Statue initially chases Lucas through the Ruined Zoo, until Ness arriveds and destroys it with PK Flash. Ness and Lucas then work together to defeat Porky, who appears from inside the statue in his spider bed mech.
Fanon[]
Porky is often regarded as having a one-sided obsession with Ness, both in platonic and romantic contexts. Meanwhile Ness moves on from Porky due to finding better friends and being fed up with Porky being an all-around obnoxious person. In fanfiction, Porky usually harbours a grudge against Ness for leaving him. Often in cases where Ness and Lucas are friends, Porky also hates Lucas for stealing Ness from him. Since Ness is often portrayed as chubby in fanon, some also think Porky would hold misdirected hate towards Ness for not being bullied for his weight while Porky is.
Despite Ness and Porky's strained relationship, some shippers believe the two of them could get back on better terms again and have a healthy relationship. Particularly since Ness is often depicted as trying to give Porky the benefit of the doubt in the beginning. Given that Giygas influenced Porky to be evil, fans think that in a world where that didn't happen, Porky could have been a better person and got along with Ness. On the other hand, since Porky is still evil long after Giygas was defeated, some think Porky was inherently a bad person and he and Ness wouldn't have worked together anyway.
Some AUs include those where Porky joins Ness on his adventure to defeat Giygas, and the opposite, where Ness joins Porky in his evil schemes.
