Nischa is the slash ship between Mischa Bachinski and Noel Gruber in the Ride the Cyclone fandom.
Canon[]
Noel and Mischa died on the roller coaster sitting next to each other. They were also the two tenors in the choir (Prior to Ricky Potts gaining the ability to speak). When they turn up in the afterlife, they seem to know little about each other despite going to school together. However, they share a common dislike for Ocean O'Connell-Rosenberg. Noel is also the only openly gay member of the choir.
A turning point occurs when Mischa shares his fear of losing his online "fiancée", Talia. This vulnerability resonates with Noel, who is touched by Mischa's sincerity. In turn, Mischa appreciates Noel's poetic nature and longing for meaningful love.
During Noel's musical number, Noel's Lament, Noel sings about wanting to be a sex worker in France, "embracing a new man every night". During a dance break, Mischa hands Noel a rose in a slow-dancing manner before aggressively kissing Noel.
After the song, another member of the choir, Constance, says: "I liked the part where the two boys kiss". Mischa replies: "In my culture, it is natural to show affection by kissing... not always in heels", Noel then giggles and struts away. After that, they both decide to vote for each other.
Later in the play, Mischa offers Noel a drink, Noel tells him "I've never been drunk before, or kissed a man...thanks". Mischa awkwardly replies "You're welcome". Mischa then calls Noel's life tragic, and Noel, obsessed with tragedy, says, "That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me!" He then leans on Mischa's shoulder. The two of them share a moment before the next number, having a conversation unheard by the audience.
During the last musical number when Ocean is singing, they waltz together while all the other choir members dance solo.

Nischa has 1,000+ works under its tag on Archive of Our Own. It is Mischa and Noel's most popular pairing and the fandom's most popular ship on the website.
Nischa is the 2nd Ride The Cyclone ship with the most canonical backing, the first being Mischa and Talia.
There are many different theories in the Ride The Cyclone fandom that both support and disprove Nischa as a pairing; These include the "Catfish Theory" and the "Code Name Theory". Though the "Catfish Theory" is extremely controversial in the fandom, and to the actors.
Many enjoy this ship because of the canon interactions between the two characters. Noel and Mischa, whether romantic or platonic, have a undoubtable connection to one another; Many fans believe this is why they choose to vote for each other at the end of the show. This action highlights the significant impact they have made on each other in the afterlife.
In fanfiction, writers usually choose to either write out Mischa's fiancée Talia, make Noel catfish Mischa as Talia, or have Mischa and Talia break up in one way or another. The first and the last options seem to be the most popular amongst the fandom. Nonetheless, Mischa and Noel seem to compliment each other. Noel being more uptight, keeping his hopes and dreams close to him, while Mischa is more expressive and "passionate" in his expression. It makes sense that fans would be drawn into their opposing dynamic.
Fans like to explore the different and complimenting features in these two characters. Such as Noel's love for poetry and Mischa's love of rap; both are used as creative outlet to express themselves. Poetry and rap also share common features, both derive from a similar structure: rhyming. Mischa and Noel also have deep rooted fantasies about love and what it means to them, they're both romantics in different ways. The parallelism really draws the two of them together.
