NobaOri is the femslash ship between Nobara Kugisaki and Saori from the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom.
Canon[]
Nobara and Saori don’t have many scenes as they've only appeared together in a one chapter flashback and Nobara mentioning her during the earlier chapters.
2009[]
Nobara used to live in a small village in the countryside, however she didn't like living there. Nobara meets Saori who had just moved to the village with her family. Nobara and Fumi meet with Saori at her house, she always welcomed the two girls with a smile on her face. According to Fumi, Nobara changed after she met Saori, she spoke in a softer way and became more refined. Saori and her family were forced to move out of the village and back to the city after the villagers harrassed them. Nobara cried when Saori left but never spoke about her again. When Nobara leaves for Tokyo, she tells Fumi she wants the three of them to be together the next time they see each other.
Fearsome Womb Arc[]
When Nobara arrives in Tokyo, she goes on a mission to exorcise a cursed spirit. As things turn sour, she thinks of Saori and she wishes she could have seen her one last time.
Shibuya Incident Arc[]
On the evening of October 31, 2018, while Saori is at work, one of her colleagues asks her about the incident occurring in Shibuya and wonders if it was a terrorist attack. Saori reveals her past to her colleague. She tells her about her move to the countryside and her meeting with Nobara. Saori says that even though Nobara was seven years younger than her, she really took to her. She adds that, as she was an only child, she found Nobara to be really cute. Saori says she put on a bit of an act in front of the girls because she wanted to impress them. She adds that she never exchanged contact information with the little girl because she feared having to move away from her. Saori then talks about Nobara's tears when she left and says that she would probably be disappointed to see the person she has become today. Saori wonders what Nobara is up to these days.
As Nobara is about to die, she thinks about her time spent with Saori and Fumi.

NobaOri is a rarepair as Nobara hasn't appeared in the manga since the Shibuya Incident and Saori is a minor character. They have only interacted once in a flashback. NobaOri currently has 7 works under its tag on Archive of our Own. It is Saori's most popular pairing and Nobara's 14th most popular one, behind ships like ItaKugi and NobaMaki. Fans like the ship because of the impact Saori had on Nobara. Neither Nobara nor Saori felt at home in the village, Nobara always wanted to leave and Saori was forced to leave. Upon arriving in Tokyo, Saori is one of the first things Nobara thinks about as she always wished they could meet again. Despite not keeping contact, Saori cared deeply about Nobara and didn't want her to be disappointed in who she had become. Fans like to imagine them finding each other in Tokyo and catching up on lost time.
