NorCyn is the friendship between Nori Doorman and Cyn from the Murder Drones fandom.
Canon[]
It is unclear how Cyn came to possess Nori considering they belong to two separate planets, but it can be assumed that Cyn's connection to the Absolute Solver allowed her easy access to Nori's conscious.
Mass Destruction[]
Cyn possesses Nori as Nori is tied midair to be tested by humans. From there, she causes a massacre and destroys everyone within the church. Mitchell, an intern, was informed to retrieve Yeva, a female Worker who also bears the Solver, prior to the carnage. When returning, he is nearly killed by Cyn who thanks him for providing a new host, Nori, for her. Yeva steps in and swiftly ricochets Cyn's attempted attack back to her. With this, Nori's head is impaled by the Crucifix Patch. It successfully removes Cyn from her consciousness, but she still struggles with the yellow drone's last ditch to make an impact. Nori struggles with her arm being controlled by Cyn as her hand gears up a powerful orb.
Yeva notices this and quickly severs the hand and sends it falling down the gaping pit behind Nori. When they believe they have saved themselves, the orb becomes a massive explosion that resulted in a core collapse, turning the planet into an ice land and eliminating all humans inhabiting it. Because of the attack Yeva had performed on Nori to remove Cyn from the latter's mind, Nori was more connected to Cyn as she is able to see the visions of the Disassembly Drones, which are Cyn's creations. She influenced her husband, Khan Doorman, to build doors to prepare for the brutal future Cyn has planned for them. However, the Murder Drones end up killing both Yeva and Nori in the end.
Though Cyn believes Nori is dead, the latter survives and roams the church as a heart core. When Uzi, Nori's daughter, travels with her new best friend, Serial Designation N, the duo land into the mines. They eventually split up, leaving N on his own. When provoked by Cyn in the mine shafts, Nori rescues him from his near death and assists him in escaping the possessed drone. From there, she explains the origins of the core collapse and her plan to return the Crucifix Patch to the surface after discovering N is acquainted with her daughter. She explains that Cyn made Murder Drones to kill off all hosts of the Solver, including her. When N returns to the church, he is met by Tessa Elliott prepared to kill off a distressed Uzi.
Decapitating Tessa, he believes Uzi is in a safe condition; to his shock, Cyn gained control over her body and prepared to murder him. Thankfully, Nori steps in and dismembers Cyn's appendages to release her hold on N. Cyn is puzzled by Nori's arrival and comments to her that she was dead. Nori snarks back, saying that Cyn is "frickin' grounded". From there, a rough battle ensues with Nori and N versus the possessed Uzi. Towards the end of the fight, Cyn gains hold of Nori and almost consumed her if it wasn't for N's distraction; N admits to Nori that him and Uzi "kinda hang out", making Nori furious and slapping Uzi clean across the face. Because of this, Cyn loses control of Uzi's mind. However, a now enraged Uzi kicks Nori into the gaping hole. She is eventually followed by her daughter and Cyn.
Absolute End[]
When the two drift in space, Nori and Uzi get off at a better foot when Uzi realizes she has kicked her mother into space and is genuinely delighted to see her. Nori explains that they need to destroy Cyn's core to end everything. The two are forced to depart after N swoops Uzi into his ship. When Nori rejoins the team, she tosses Uzi a pickaxe to defeat Cyn whilst cheering her on. Finally, Cyn is deceased and free from the Absolute Solver.
Fanon[]
NorCyn is a rarepair within the fandom with only 7 works on AO3. Some include Uzi into their friendship mix considering Cyn is tied with both of them through the means of their Solvers. Before the events of Mass Destruction and Absolute End, fans theorized who killed Nori specifically. Though some believe Cyn murdered her directly, the plot's events revealed that she was murdered by a Disassembly Drone sent by Cyn. It is unrevealed between J, N, and V has killed her.
