Norlice is the femslash ship between Nori Doorman and Alice from the Murder Drones fandom.
Canon[]
Dead End[]
When Alice captures Uzi Doorman, she recognizes Nori Doorman in the latter’s daughter. She explains to Uzi about her mother upon being asked. Alice claims that Nori is a “traitor” for abandoning the rest of the cabin members and head to the surface after the core collapse. It is clear that Alice bears an immense hatred for Nori for this reason and possibly many others. There is a possibility that Alice is aware that Nori was the cause behind the core collapse despite the event being accidental. The complete relationship between the two are unknown since Nori has not explained nor exploited her views towards Alice.
Alice and Nori notably express erratic behavior supposedly due to the AbsoluteSolver’s havoc. This behavior led to surgical procedures or theories that research the Solver. Nori performs the theories whereas Alice performs the surgical procedures. Despite the different style in information collecting, the two gain a fair knowledge of the Solver’s special factors. However, Nori did not live long enough to study the Disassembly Drones like Alice. The odd behavior often gives others a sense of unease due to how serious and unnerving the two take their interest, such as Nori sketching dark pictures and writing on paper nonstop and Alice performing surgery on anyone she finds. The only difference appears to be that Nori’s research is to assist her colony whereas Alice utilized her “patient’s” parts for her and Baeu’s use and survival.
Getting to discover Nori’s personality in “Mass Destruction”, she is a heavy resemblance to her daughter. She is mostly bitter, blunt, and aggressive with her speech. Alice, in contrast, is energetic, sadistic, and erratic. This could conjure the “Solar and Lunar” trope due to Nori’s personality being “darker” and less enthusiastic than Alice’s. However, Khan claims that Nori “was a catch” and easily got along with others, so there could either be a personality shift after her death and or a trait of hers that isn’t commonly shown.
Moments[]
Dead End[]
In a photo, the audience witnesses a supposed interview between Nori and Yeva. In the background, Alice’s head is smashed into the wall with the speculated cause being the AbsoluteSolver. Coincidentally, Nori is shown utilizing her Solver. It is unknown if Nori had accidentally, purposely, or absentmindedly did this to her.
Fanon[]
Norlice is a rare pair within the Murder Drones fandom. This could be due to the very low information on Nori before the run of the seventh episode and Alice’s death; it is also supported by Alice’s extreme hatred towards the latter. A possible major reason for the fans to ship it is due to the two’s antagonistic relationship that sparks the “Enemies to Lovers” trope.
