Nuts and Volts is the slash ship between Tyrian Callows and Arthur Watts from the RWBY fandom.
Canon[]
The two work well together, Watts comes up with the plans, while Tyrian then carries them out. When Salem asks Watts to make a new tail for Tyrian following his loss to Ruby Rose, he takes no issue with the request and sets out to perform it. Later, when he questions Salem on Cinder still being alive, Tyrian immediately calls him out, asking him is he daring to question our queen?, making him stammer for a moment before regaining his composure.
He is next seen calling for Tyrian in volume 6 chapter 9, saying it's time to disembark on their mission to Atlas. In Volume 8, when Watts remotely communicates with Tyrian in secret after they both arrive in Mantle. He reminds Tyrian that finding a single hideout will draw suspicion and discovery from their enemies. Watts then reassures Tyrian that they will reaffirm their plan by staying mobile.
He even mentions the security code in Mantle hadn't been updated unlike the cyber security code in Atlas, to which Tyrian agrees, saying I guess we all have our talents. In volume 7 chapter 6, Watts praises Tyrian for slaughtering Robyn Hill's followers at the election night party and falsely incriminating Penny Polendina as well. After Watts turns off the heating in Mantle in volume 7 chapter 8, the two reconvene in the next episode, watching the chaos unfold.
In volume 7 chapter 10, Watts and Tyrian listen to Robyn Hill and Ironwood's announcement, informing the people of Mantle of Watts and Tyrian's activities, enraging Tyrian. Watts eventually calms him down, having come up with a plan. He tells Tyrian to keep the people's attention in Mantle, causing the latter to prompt how Watts wants him to accomplish more panic than a Grimm invasion. Arthur then rhetorically tells Tyrian if anyone in Remnant could deliver that, it would be him. This then gives Tyrian the idea to attack Robyn Hill later in the night.
After being captured, Watts still has the means to get in touch with Tyrian. In volume 8 chapter 6, he contacted him to inform Salem about his success in obtaining some control over the Winter Maiden.

Nuts and Volts is a rarepair within the RWBY fandom. Mainly because their both minor side villians and don't have a lot of screentime together in the actual show. Some fans think the contrasting personalities between the two would balance each other out. Some other fans think the two would be similar to the outlaw couple trope. It has a small fanbase on tumblr.

Trivia[]
- Their ship name is a pun on "nuts and bolts". Tyrian is crazy, hence the "nuts" and Arthur's surname is Watts which is another term for electricity, hence the "volts".
