NyeoSu is the het ship between Jang Deok-su and Han Min-nyeo from the Squid Game fandom.
Canon[]
The two started to interact to one another after the results of the first game, Red-Light, Green-Light. Before light off, Mi-Nyeo asked Deok-Su if she can join his "boys" group for the next upcoming games although he refused her proposal. Because of this, Mi-Nyeo started to flirt with Deok-Su in order for her to get his attention which Deok-Su noticed. He asked her "are you good on the bed?" Mi-Nyeo smirked and replied that she would soon show what she's truly made off.
During the second game, Honeycomb, Mi-Nyeo secretly brought a lighter to light the needle so it can be easier to carve out her honeycomb. She proceeds to accomplish her lighter plan and submitted her honeycomb on time. One she was about to leave the playground, she noticed that Deok-Su was having trouble in carving out his star honeycomb. She then secretly gave her lighter to him by using her foot which Deok-Su noticed as he was looking around the playground. Deok-Su was first confused on why she gave him a lighter but then Mi-Nyeo used her hand signals that shows to use the lighter to sharpen his needle so it could be easier to carve out. Deok-Su replied with a smile before she leaves the playground area. He also won the second game because of Mi-Nyeo's assistance.
As they were exiting the playground, Deok-Su thanked Mi-Nyeo for giving him the lighter which made Mi-Nyeo blushed and asked him of what they're doing later at night. Deok-Su replied to follow him after the lights off begins. The two started to hide on the girl's bathroom and had sex when everyone was asleep during lights off. Their relationship was starting to be better for them.
Soon after that night, the two started to have mutual feelings for one another or implied to be friends with benefits. Later that night, them and along Deok-Su's teammates started to make a plan in order to kill the other players in the room so that the number of players will decrease which soon was accomplished. Although the next day, when Deok-Su was chatting on his group, one of his friends or members stated that Mi-Nyeo might be a little handful or weak which can lead them in loosing for the upcoming games. Some of his friends also started to agree. Deok-Su looked at Mi-Nyeo for a few seconds and was starting to agree from what his friends said.
During the third game, Tug of War, there was an announcements from the guards that the players should form a team so they could win the game. Mi-Nyeo heard their announcements and started to run up to Deok-Su and told him that they should form a team. Deok-Su later apologized to Mi-Nyeo that they might not let her join his team because she might be weak and it will cause them to loose the game. Mi-Nyeo started to get furious and told him that she should let her join his team while hugging him. She started to yell back at him until Deok-Su pushed her on the floor. Deok-Su too yelled back at her and told her that she is just weak and told her that she was just using him in order to be cool. Their mutual relationship started to break after that commotion.
Onto the fifth game, Glass Stepping Stones, Mi-Nyeo thought a plan to get revenge from Deok-Su. When it was Deok-Su's turn to choose whether the glass pane is breakable or not, Deok-Su's told everyone he wasn't going to pass. He asked the players behind him if they want to volunteer to pick the glass panes. No one volunteered but Mi-Nyeo. When Mi-Nyeo was walking towards to Deok-Su, she started to hug him tightly and wouldn't want to let go. Deok-Su asked what she was doing and she replied that this is her revenge for what he did to her during the third game. Deok-Su was trying to break free from her hug but he really couldn't. Mi-Nyeo decided that both of them will die from the glass pane in front of them. She hugged him so tightly and started to fall to the other glass pane (which was breakable) while Deok-Su being the next while screaming until they fell and died on the floor beneath them.
Fanon[]
NyeoSu is not a very popular ship in the fandom due for their relationship being toxic and both for trying to manipulate one another through the whole first season although it's not a rare-pair either. Many fans also abandoned this ship when the two started to become enemies and tried to let the other one die during the next upcoming games. It currently has 45 works on AO3 and it's the most written ship for both characters. It is behind 457, Thangyu, Jibyeok, Sangihun and Aliwoo, which are one of the most popular ships in the fandom.
After s2 it became a common joke/headcanon of the two being parents to Nam-gyu.
