ObaTan is the slash ship between Tanjiro Kamado and Obanai Iguro from the Demon Slayer fandom.
Canon[]
Tanjiro first met Obanai when he was brought in front of the Hashira, regarding breaking the corps rules. During this Tanjiro was tied up and was on the ground. Meanwhile Obanai alongside other hashira was of the opinion that he and his sister should be killed. Whilst Tanjiro was on the ground, Obanai can be seen sitting in a tree. A bit after Obanai jumps down and elbows Tanjiro and keeps on the ground. When Sanemi stabbed Nezuko, Tanjiro was freed when Obanai grip by Giyu, who pulled Obanai arm away.
From the moment the two first met Obanai hated Tanjiro, however as the story continues Obanai does show some warmth towards Tanjiro.
After upper rank 6 was defeated, Obanai arrived at the scene and spoke to Tengen. Meanwhile Tanjiro was seen alongside Zenitsu, Inosuke and Nezuko passed out from his injuries. Tengen mentioned to Obanai that Tanjiro is reaching his potential. When Tengen said that Obanai was shocked to find out that Tanjiro survived the battle and struggled to believe it.
During the Final Battle Arc, both Obanai and Tanjiro are teleported to the Infinity Castle. Here the two get split and teleported to a different part of the Infinity Castle. Tanjiro gets teleported to near where upper rank 3 is, while Obanai is located somewhere near the new upper rank 4. Both are seen battling with the upper rank that is near them, alongside someone else. For Tanjiro the someone else is Giyu, while for Obanai this is Mitsuri and Yushiro. After defeating the demon that they were facing, both go on to battle against Muzan. While battling Muzan the two help each other out.
After the battle with Muzan was over, Obanai died while Tanjiro survived. Tanjiro is later seen with Kaburamaru, Obanai’s snake, and Kanao, who was given Kaburamaru.

ObaTan is a rare pair in the Fandom. This is mainly due to the connection the two have with each other throughout the story. However people do tend to believe that the two could maybe have become friends if they got to know each other. People also liked how their bond changed during the series, since it started out with Obanai hating Tanjiro and it ended with Obanai showing some warmth towards Tanjiro.
People have created stories for them, in which it either has them as how they are in the canon story or it has either Tanjiro aged up or Obanai aged down.
Even though there are people who like to pair Obanai and Tanjiro romantically, there are also people who tend to prefer the two as just friends. The main reason for this is the age gap between the two of them.
