Obanai Iguro is a character from the Demon Slayer fandom.
Character[]
Obanai is a major supporting character in the Demon Slayer fandom. Obanai is a stubborn and quiet character who hates women. He is apart of the Demon Slayer Corps and is ranked Hashira. Obanai utilizes Serpent Breathing, so he is known as the “Serpent Hashira” or the “Serpent Pillar”. Obanai harbors hatred towards most women because he was the only male to be born into his family after around 370 years. His family locked him up in a cage where he met his reptile companion, Kaburamaru. His family decided to sacrifice him to a female demon known as the “Snake Demon” because she had the lower body of a serpent. The Snake Demon took a particular liking to Obanai because he was a rare male with heterochromia. His family restrained him and forcefully slit his mouth in order to resemble the Snake Demon's slit mouth. [1] Obanai wears a mask that covers his mouth in order to hide his scar.
Obanai soon fell in love with his fellow Hashira member: Mitsuri Kanroji, the only girl he found beautiful and truly liked. Obanai and Mitsuri often hung out together and wrote each other letters, up until they both passed away during the Final Battle.
