Odesta is the het ship between Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta from The Hunger Games fandom.
Canon[]
Finnick was Annie's mentor when she participated in the 70th edition of the Hunger Games. It is unknown at which point they fell in love. When Katniss asks him Finnick said he didn't fancy Annie at the start and that he fell in love with her little by little, almost without noticing it.
At first, they kept their relationship secret, as Finnick was one of the most popular victors in the Capitol and had a reputation of being a heartbreaker, having more than a hundred lovers. It was later revealed that he was forced into prostitution by President Snow and those lovers were actually customers who bought his company.
When they were both reaped for the third Quarter Quell, Mags, an elderly victor, volunteered to go to the Games in Annie's place, thus preventing them from going to the games together. Katniss theorizes in the book that she might have wanted to protect her, since rumors had it that Annie had "went insane" ever since she returned from the Arena, where she witnessed her district partner being beheaded.
During the preparation of the Quarter Quell, Finnick maintains his golden bachelor facade, being charming and flirtatious, talking about his lovers and even reading a poem during their interview, dedicated to his "one true love". While every one of Finnick's lovers thought that poem was dedicated to them, it was actually dedicated to Annie.
Once in the Arena, when Katniss and Finnick go to get water, they get trapped in the Jabberjay sector. The jabberjays imitated Annie's voice calling for help or yelling. Finnick thought that she had been tortured to get those recordings of her voice. Katniss killed the jabberjays with arrows but Finnick didn't calm down until he returned with the others and Beetee explained that these recordings could be made very easily using a program. At night when everyone was asleep and Katniss kept watch, she would hear Finnick mutter Annie's name in his sleep.
After being rescued from the Arena, Finnick asks Plutarch to go to District 4 to get Annie before the Capitol takes her away, but he says that it won't be possible as their priorities is to reach District 13 safely. He however, tells Finnick he'll try to get Annie.
Mockingjay[]
At the beginning of the book, Finnick is suffering from a concussion and he does not stop worrying about Annie, who has been kidnapped by the Capitol and he fears that she is being tortured. When Katniss tells Alma Coin her conditions to become the face of the revolution, she, knowing already that Finnick is in love with Annie, asks for immunity for the victors in order to protect her in particular.
Later, when Katniss tells Finnick that Snow is torturing Peeta in order to make her suffer, he tells her that the Capitol is torturing Annie too, for the same reasons. Eventually all the victors are rescued and taken to District 13, including Annie. She and Finnick meet again and he takes her to receive treatment for the injuries inflicted on her during her torture sessions.
Finnick and Annie get married not long after. The wedding is used as a distraction from the war and recorded to be used as rebel propaganda. Katniss notes that after the wedding, Finnick barely lets go of Annie's hand.
Annie and Finnick conceive a son but he never gets to meet him. It is unknown if Finnick knew whether Annie was pregnant when he died. After his death, Annie gives birth to a boy, of whom she frequently sent photos to Katniss and Peeta in the 12th district. The boy's name is unknown.
Fanon[]
Being canon, Odesta is the most popular ship of both characters and the second most popular ship overall in the whole franchise, after Everlark. A frequent headcanon about them is the name of their son, which many people imagine is Finnick too, after his father.
When Stef Dawson was revealed as the actress who would play Annie, many fans complained about her not being a good choice the role and that she didn't make a good couple with Finnick as her and Sam Claflin had zero chemistry.
