Hero, along with Omori, Aubrey and Kel, get front row seats to the show, Sweetheart's Quest for Hearts. After one of the contestants dies, Hero has to be a contestant. Sweetheart sends the contestants besides Hero to the dungeon. Hero is asked if he will pledge his allegiance to Sweetheart for the rest of his life. Hero declines because it doesn't seem fair at all. Sweetheart comments on how immaculate Hero is and questions if she is in love. Sweetheart chooses Hero as her suitor, and Hero is taken away by the guards.
Hero rejects Sweetheart by saying he's not interested in her. Sweetheart tells Hero to not be silly and that she had never heard anything sillier. Hero apologizes and reluctantly says he doesn't want to marry Sweetheart. Sweetheart then demands that Hero is sent to the dungeon, but Aubrey speaks up. Hero, Aubrey, Omori and Kel are sent to the dungeon.

Baked Donut isn't very popular in comparison to HeroMari, a more popular ship. Baked Donut is often seen as a one-sided ship. It's normally in the background of works focusing on other ships. Baked Donut currently has 10+ works on AO3. There is also a decent amount of fan art given the popularity of the ship.

Basil is often associated with flowers. His name is an herb, he was originally going to be named Rowan, which had a lesser approach to his obsession with flowers. Basil's background music is titled "A Home For Flowers (Daisy)" while his headspace home has background music titled "A Home For Flowers (Tulip)." Flowers are also part of Basil's appearance. He wears a flower behind his ear in the real world, and he wears a flower crown in headspace.

Fans normally associate Basil with flowers. Though not a lot of people seriously ship him with flowers. Those who do tend to do it as a joke. Basil is sometimes represented by a flower in ship names like Sunflower and Cactiflower. However, those ships are far more popular than BasilFlowers.

Mari and Daphne do not interact during the events of the game, as Mari dies four years before the game's events. It is not clear if they knew of each other. It is entirely possible that they did, given that they both grew up in the same small town. They may have also went to the same school. They also appear to have been within the same age range, with Mari having been Sunny's other sister and Daphne being Mikhael's older sister. It is very likely that Mari would at the very least have recognised Daphne as she runs the local bakery with her brother Bowen.
Mari appears to have enjoyed baking much like Daphne does.

The ship is a rare-pair. This is largely because HeroMari is a very popular ship, and is generally regarded as the one true canon ship within the game. This is also largely due to how Mari is dead. Daphne is also a rather minor character. As such, she is not commonly shipped in general, and is not very commonly featured in fan media. As such, the ship does not have many rivals on Daphne's end. Outside of HeroMari, the ship also does not have very many rivals on Mari's end, with the exception of Softball, FruitBasket and Maribrey, which are generally considered problematic due to the age differences between the characters.
Breadbasket may be shipped opposite Shortbread. Given Mari's death, the ship usually shipped in a Mari live's AU. Alternatively, it may also be shipped pre-canon. However, HeroMari is generally held to be canon. As such, it is rather rare as it directly conflicts with HeroMari. Those who do ship Daphne and Mari enjoy what they imagine their relationship dynamic would be.
The ship name Breadbasket most likely comes from Daphne's love for baking and the Mari's association with picnics. The ship has 21 works on AO3. It is Daphne's most written ship on AO3. The ship has some fanart.

The two have never met since they are from different franchises. They were both seen by the main protagonist (MC for Sayori and Sunny for Mari) after being murdered and hung. However, Mari did not commit suicide. Sunny pushed her down the stairs, and Basil framed her death as a suicide.
This ship is also known as Sayomari, but there was a sudden rise of small popularity on it on Twitter caused by @Dekitaa_ on Twitter over bringing up the popularity of another ship and brought up this one. @Misschidouin on Twitter then gave an idea for the new name of the ship and changed it to Loveletter.
