The Power of Two[]

One routinely appears in the background of the season, stalking Two and their contestants. One can be seen observing Gaty and Two in "What's Up Bell's String?" in a picture frame with the two, in the bushes. Later on in the episode, One forcefully rearranges the teams during the Team Swap phase, assigning Gaty to Death Pact Yet Again, and then directly watches Death Pact Yet Again form their name. Only from "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", does One begin observing just Gaty, watching her closely from a post-it note on the refrigerator in Four and X's kitchen.

In Seasonal Shift's stinger, One is seen disabling the glass protection around Tennis Ball's yoylelite, causing the failed Debuters to start grabbing at it and launch themselves into various times of the past, which in return begins messing with the present. Meanwhile, Gaty is left alone by Two in the kitchen, when the latter is about to perform Cake at Stake. Shortly after, however, a lunch bag that Gaty had been preparing opens to reveal a pocket dimension that sucks up Gaty, transporting her into One's dimension.

A bit later in the episode, One appears behind Gaty, whom is now sitting in a pink couch, and tries to convince her to make a deal, claiming to have been friends with Two in the past. Gaty immediately rejects their advances, kicking the paper away and bluntly mentioning that Two has never once mentioned One despite all their talks together. Annoyed, One reveals a list of other contestants that have signed a deal with them, and Gaty demands to know where they're located (due to their disappearances ever since they made the deal). One turns on a TV in their room showing that the aforementioned contestants are in an endless field of flowers, presumably somewhere in their dimension, much to Gaty's horror. Placing the paper back on the table, One asks when Gaty will sign the deal, to which Gaty grimaces.

During Cake at Skate (Cake at Stake), One triggers an effect from the Yoylelite that causes the competing contestants to remember the events of their original timeline. Gaty asks One what the point of it was, viewing the scene from the aforementioned TV, and One claims that they did it because "it's easier for them to cause damage this way". They then go on about how the timeline shifting could be instantly reverted if Gaty were to make a deal with One, to which Gaty asks if the deal between them is really worth corroding the timeline for. One just says she'll wait, telling Gaty that they should "just watch" together.

Near the end of the episode, when the timeline begins to visibly collapse on itself, One points out how there's not much time left and that the choice is Gaty's. Gaty is still under the assumption that One is bluffing, retorting that they "wouldn't actually let that happen", though One then mentions she can get Two's power in other ways, with or without Gaty and her friends' help. The screen flashes with the visibly terrified contestants, and seeing Pin on the screen ends up causing Gaty to snap, stomping her foot onto One's deal. One makes a joke about how it's "about time", but Gaty gives her a look. One then says she'll revert the timeline corrosion, and Gaty demands that she'll also be sent back to the Hotel. However, since this was presumably not explicitly given in the deal, One simply smiles before beginning to revert the changes, the screen flashing white.

After Seasonal Shift, Gaty is nowhere to be seen both in-universe and chronologically, not even in the endless field of flowers where the other kidnapped contestants are. However, Bottle for Dream Island reveals that One's room for making deals has been tarnished, with its furniture knocked over and broken, and One is depicted as more desperate and aggressive compared to the previous episodes. It can be assumed that Gaty had something to do with this, as she was last seen alive in their room.

Fanon[]

Onegaty is rare as a ship due to their canonical dynamic, and their lack of interactions outside of Seasonal Shift. Though they are often depicted around each other in fanart and fanfiction, they're rarely portrayed in a romantic way. However, there is a small fanbase for Onegaty, due to their mutual connections with Two and the fact that Gaty was the first to actively doubt (and presumably fight back against) One. Many also pair the two because of the significance of Gaty to One, to where they nearly destroyed the timeline just to get her to sign the contract. Fan content involving Onegaty often revolves around One manipulating and isolating Gaty in order to build trust with her, especially after the latter's disappearance in Seasonal Shift. Their rival ships are Gattwo, 12, and Basketone.
