OroTsu is the het ship between Orochimaru and Tsunade from the Naruto fandom.
Canon[]
Orochimaru and Tsunade were teammates from the moment they became genin. They were assigned to Team Hiruzen, a team led by the eventual Third Hokage, along with Jiraiya. Orochimaru was considered a genius and prodigy, and Tsunade respected him. At one point, she mentioned that if she were to date anybody, it would be a genius like Orochimaru. The two later fought against Hanzō the Salamender in the Second Shinobi World War along with Jiraiya and they were dubbed the three legendary Sannin.
At some point, Orochimaru was in battle with Tsunade's younger brother Nawaki in the war. He coldly informed her of Nawaki's death and returned the necklace she had given him. Orochimaru later turned against Konoha after being caught performing illegal experiments and left the village. Tsunade also left the village after the death of her boyfriend Dan. The two would not see each other again for decades.
Orochimaru approached Tsunade as Jiraiya was searching for her to make her the next hokage. Orochimaru offered to resurrect Tsunade's deceased brother Nawaki and boyfriend Dan in exchange for her healing his hands, which had been damaged by the Third Hokage. He said that he planned on destroying the village, and also told Tsunade that she would be responsible with providing two sacrifices for the Edo Tensei. She seemed to consider this offer despite her apprentice Shizune, who was Dan's niece, protesting that Dan and Nawaki would not want this.
Tsunade later drugged Jiraiya while drinking with him, and it seemed that she considered using him as a sacrifice. When Tsunade and Orochimaru met again, Tsunade demanded that Orochimaru promise not to harm Konoha if she healed his hands, and he said that he agreed to these terms. Tsunade than held out her hands, seemingly preparing to heal them, until Orochimaru's right-hand man Kabuto intercepted them with a kunai. Kabuto exposed Tsunade, who was actually trying to kill Orochimaru.
Tsunade then battled against Orochimaru and Kabuto along with Jiraiya and Naruto who joined them on the battlefield. Orochimaru noticed that Tsunade had drugged Jiraiya and mused that she considered using him as a sacrifice for the edo tensei. Tsunade told Orochimaru that she would never accept his offer, and even made the decision to accept the hokage position in the middle of their fight. Tsunade's side won the battle, but Orochimaru and Kabuto escaped.
Years later, during the Fourth Shinobi World War, Orochimaru found Tsunade badly beaten on the battlefield and ordered Karin and Suigetsu to heal her. When they started to argue instead of healing her, Orochimaru threatened them with his snakes. Orochimaru told Tsunade that she should at least be grateful to him after she woke up, but Tsunade expressed skepticism over his change in heart. After talking, Tsunade did thank Orochimaru and noted that he changed a little. When Tsunade was trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, she dreamed that Orochimaru was still in Konoha.

OroTsu has a moderate amount of popularity in the Naruto fandom. As Sasuke and Sakura are considered to be the spiritual successors of Orochimaru and Tsunade, many compare OroTsu to the SasuSaku ship which later became canon. While Tsunade never explicitly had a crush on Orochimaru, many believe that she did, and she did comment that she would date a genius like Orochimaru. When Orochimaru was revealed to have a son named Mitsuki in the Boruto series, many wondered if Tsunade was the mother until it was revealed that Mitsuki was a clone and not conceived through natural means. On AO3, there are over 130 works for the pairing. OroTsu rivals the JiraTsu, DanTsu, OroKabu, and OroSasu pairings.
