Oshamir is the het ship between Osha Aniseya and Qimir from the Star Wars fandom.
Canon[]
Osha and Qimir first meet when she goes undercover as her twin sister, Mae, in an attempt to learn more information about Mae's intentions. Qimir is masquerading as a shopkeeper, and at first welcomes Osha as if she is Mae. He asks about Mae's murder of Master Torbin, and Osha awkwardly tries to explain what happened. Qimir gets closer to Osha, and whispers that she looks exactly like Mae just before Master Sol and the other Jedi burst into the shop.
They do not meet again until Khofar, where Qimir has dropped the guise of being the clueless shopkeeper and is now presenting himself as "The Stranger". He wears a mask, and approaches Osha as the Jedi watch on in fear and confusion. He ignites his lightsaber, and holds it close to her head, which causes the Jedi to ignite their own sabers. Master Sol yells at Osha to run, as she is virtually unarmed. Instead, Qimir uses the force to throw Osha out of the way so he can battle the Jedi.
She wakes a few minutes later, disoriented, and sets out into the forest to find the Jedi. She watches as Qimir massacres a number of Jedi Masters, and threatens Yord Fandar. Osha attempts to stun Qimir, but her shot bounces off his helmet. Yord yells for her to run, which she does, and Qimir follows her. They run into Sol, who engages Qimir in a battle so that Osha can safely run to the ship. However, Osha is worried about her old Master and the other Jedi, and decides to turn back. She arrives back at the battle, and watches on with fear as Qimir kills Yord. Osha then spots her sister, and sets off on a chase after Mae.
Once alone, Mae decides to stun Osha and take her identity so that she can kill Master Sol. She leaves Osha unconscious in the forest of Khofar, where Qimir eventually finds her. He drapes a blanket over her, and eventually carries her back to his ship and flies off to an unknown planet.
When Osha wakes, she has no idea where she is. She sets out to explore the planet, and finds Qimir bathing in one of the planet's small lakes. She tries to sneak up on him, but he senses her through the force. She holds his lightsaber up against him and threatens him. Qimir, however, is unfazed and compliments Osha's saber stance instead. Osha tells him to stay where he is, but Qimir tells her that he'd like to put his clothes back on. He climbs out of the water, naked, and faces Osha. He says that she is thinking if it is honourable to kill him "like this".
Osha demands to know more about why he brought her here, and Qimir implies that he desires a pupil. He tells Osha that she is strong in the Force, and that someone should teach her more about her own strength. Osha tries to reject the dark side, and confronts Qimir about killing her friends. Qimir then asks her why she cares so much for the Jedi; why she loves people who can't love her back in the same way.
Osha storms off, and Qimir follows her. He taunts her, telling her to turn on the lightsaber and kill him. He feeds into her anger, which finally convinces her to the light the saber. She pushes Qimir against the wall, and places the saber against his throat. Qimir tells her he understands her, and that she must lose everything to finally be free.
Osha returns to their base, and decides to put on Qimir's deprivation helmet. While wearing it, she sees a vision of Mae killing Master Sol. Qimir and Osha decide to head to Mae's location with two differing ideals; Osha wants to save Mae, and Qimir wants to push her to the darkside.
They arrive on Brendok, and Qimir separates from Osha. He finds Sol, and the two engage in a lightsaber battle. Osha eventually catches up to them, where she overhears Sol admit that he killed Osha and Mae's mother sixteen years ago. This causes Osha to snap, turning to the darkside as she uses the Force to choke Sol and kill him. Osha and Mae decide to run away together from the scene of the crime, and arrive at a tree from their childhood. Qimir catches up to them there, and tells the girls that if he could find them so easily then the Jedi will be able to as well. Osha decides to sacrifice herself for her sister, offering herself up as Qimir's pupil. He agrees, and wipes Mae's memory of anything involving him or Osha.
Osha and Qimir return to Brendok, ostensibly so they can continue her training. They are last seen staring at the sunset together. Osha is holding Sol's old lightsaber in her hand, the kyber crystal now changed to red to represent her turn to the darkside. Qimir reaches down, holding both Osha's hand and the lightsaber of her old master.
Fanon[]
Oshamir first caught on as a ship with the end of episode 5, when Qimir puts the blanket over Osha. Fans began to speculate about what was going to happen next between the two characters, and the first fics began to appear on AO3. The ship then blew up in popularity following the release of episode 6, with many noting the sexual tension between the two characters.
Some shippers have compared the Oshamir ship to Reylo, the most popular ship in the Star Wars fandom. These fans have pointed out the similarities in character (dark side and light side), as well as the desire for one character to take the other on as a "student". Other shippers, however, have denied these similarities and instead claim that Oshamir is a "healthier" version of the Reylo dynamic. These fans look at the fact that Osha and Qimir have had many civil conversations together already, a luxury that Rey and Kylo were not afforded as they were most often seen engaged in physical fights and otherwise arguing with one another.
As with the Reylo ship, Oshamir also has its fair share of "Antis". These fans see the relationship between the two as being toxic, as Qimir murdered Osha's friends, some even right in front of her. They also see him as Osha's kidnapper, and believe the dynamic between them is not on of an equal power balance.
There are currently over 400 works for this ship on AO3. It is the most popular pairing for both characters, and the most popular ship in the "Star Wars: The Acolyte" tag overall.
