Paintyang is the non-binary ship between Paintbrush and Yang from the Inanimate Insanity fandom.
Canon[]
In "Breaking the Ice", the two got on the same team, the Bright Lights.
In "Marsh on Mars", Paintbrush tells Yin-Yang to get in the rocket. Yang screams out he doesn't want to be with losers. Paintbrush get offended and slaps him. Yang screams out of pain.
In "Tri Your Best", when Lightbulb calls Yin-Yang "circular black and white bros", Paintbrush asks her if she meant Yin-Yang.
In "Cooking for the Grater Good", when Paintbrush announced themself as the team captain for the challenge, Yin-Yang and the others went to hug them. Later, when Yang ate the pizza, Paintbrush got shocked and asked him what he did. Yang lied that Yin ate the pizza. Paintbrush got furious and told him to go to the calm-down corner. When Yang talked back, Paintbrush threw him to the corner. When Paintbrush noticed Yang escaped the calm-down corner, they pushed him away.
In "Let Er' RIP", the two were in the bottom two. When Yin tried apologising to Paintbrush for the trouble, Yang started fighting him, showing he doesn't feel sorry for his actions towards them.
In the intro for Inanimate Insanity Invitational, Yang threw Blueberry on Paintbrush's head, making them mad.
In "Stranded in Paradise", the two got on the same team, The Thinkers. During the challenge, Yang got impatient by Paintbrush and OJ complimenting each other's twirls. He kicked them into the pipe and jumped with them.
In "The Shame of the Name", the two sat together in a circle. After Paintbrush interrupted OJ to tell out their team name, Yang glanced at them with an angry expression.
In "The Overthinkers", Paintbrush and OJ commented on how sweet it was of Candle to help Yin-Yang get back up. Yang confesses in the Calm Down Cabana how he thought Paintbrush and the others want to eliminate him and Yin for not being as tall as them. As Yang ran to press the elimination button, Paintbrush yelled at him to stop. During the second cordial invitation, Paintbrush thought of Yin-Yang getting voted out. During the fourth cordial invitation, after Paintbrush said OJ won a season, Yang got shocked. Later, Yang said that, if they eliminate Candle, The Thinkers can make a boys' club, mistaking Paintbrush for a guy. They corrected him they're non-binary. Yang realised the mistake and renamed it to anti-girl club. During the elimination, when it was announced Yin-Yang won immunity, Paintbrush got shocked. After OJ's elimination, Paintbrush asked Yang if he, Yin and The Floor are okay. Later, when they announced The Thinkers are better off without a leader, Yang joked that they destroyed the government.
In "Tragedy at 60 Feet", when Paintbrush showed their box, Yang insulted it, saying it's dumb garbage and barely holds together. They added that it might not hold together, but their team is.
Fanon[]
Paintyang is a rarepair in the Inanimate Insanity fanbase. Yin-Yang ships are rare in general due to the two practically being fused together, therefore making it harder for both of them to communicate with one person without the other side bumping in. This is what makes Paintyang unpopular. Their interactions are mostly neutral, but episodes like "The Overthinkers" could tease a friendship. Paintyang doesn't have much rivals on Yang's side, but on Paintbrush's it's Lightbrush.
