Pallas Athena is the femslash ship between Athena and Pallas from the Camp Half-Blood Chronicles and Saint Seiya fandoms.
Canon[]
Shortly after Athena emerged fully armed from Zeus' head, he sent her to live with Triton, a son of Poseidon and the messenger of the seas. Triton became the foster parent of the goddess and raised alongside his own daughter, the nymph Pallas. After Triton taught both girls the arts of war, Pallas became the only mortal who could match Athena in combat and the dearest friend she loved above all.
One day, during an athletics festival, Pallas and Athena fought with spears in a friendly mock battle in which the victor would be whoever managed to disarm her opponent. At the beginning of the fight, Athena got the upper hand, until Pallas took over. Before she could win, Zeus, who was in attendance, fearing to see his own daughter lose, distracted Pallas with his Aegis shield, which she had once shown interest in. Pallas, stunned in awe, stood still as Athena, expecting her to dodge, impaled her accidentally.
Distraught over what she had done, Athena took the name Pallas for herself as a sign of her grief and tribute to her deceased friend. In honor of Pallas, Athena built a wooden replica of her beloved friend and wrapped part of the Aegis - which Zeus gave to his daughter as an apology - about its breast. This statue would eventually end up in the city of Troy, becoming known as the Palladium (meaning "Place of Pallas"), where women were allowed to claim sanctuary, while men were forbidden from even looking at the statue.
Camp Half-Blood Chronicles[]
Pallas is not mentioned very often in the series, as she had been dead for millenia by the time it started. However, her history with Athena is confirmed to be canon in Percy Jackson's Greek Gods when Percy mentions that she and Athena were the best of friends and would often engage in sparring matches that were so intense that even Zeus was worried that they would hurt each other.
Saint Saiya[]
In this series, Pallas is the younger sister of Athena, who called her 'the goddess of love'. The two got along very well and spent most of their time together until the start of the war between gods and mortals, the latter which Athena came to protect, care, and love. Pallas felt replaced and ignored, so, in order to have Athena's love all by herself, decided to eliminate all humans, a decision which forced Athena to fight against her beloved Pallas for thousands of years in order to protect the innocent people from the mortal world.
Athena eventually wins their final battle with effort, but instead of killing Pallas, Athena reveals she still wishes for Pallas' happiness and regrets how their fight ended up taking the lives of those they loved, especially their champions. Pallas is moved by Athena's words and wonders if she truly deserves to be happy. Athena replied that everyone should have that right and invites her to redeem herself at her side. Crying, Pallas forgives Athena and the exhausted goddesses faint. In the epilogue, they are traveling all over the world together with the goal of helping those in need for rest of their immortality.
Fanon[]
Pallas Athena is a very popular pair for Athena, and Pallas' most notable ship. Their story clearly portrays a deep, strong female friendship with homoerotic subtext, contrary to Athena's more known Roman myths, in which is ambiguous if she actually had good intentions for her other female acquaintances or not. Many fans love the ship for this perspective, as well as for their "puppy love turned into tragedy" story.
Many fans believe that Athena swore eternal chastity after the death of Pallas and even conspired with the other Olympians to try to usurp her father in revenge.
It is a rival ship for Athenike and Medusathena.
