Parechu is the femslash ship between Reona Nyubara and Chiyu Tamade from the BanG Dream! fandom.

PAREO (real name Reona Nyubara) and CHU² (real name Chiyu Tamade) are fellow members of the band RAISE A SUILEN, where PAREO is their keyboardist, and CHU² is their leader, DJ and producer. Although they are the same age, PAREO is an 8th grader at Kamogawa Chuou Middle School, while CHU² is a second-year high school student at Celosia Girls' Academy due to her excellent grades. Most of the time, PAREO calls CHU² "CHU²-sama", but at times she will also just the word Goshujinsama (lit. Master). The two have known each other before RAS's First Band Story.
There is a lot of contrast between the two girls' personalities. PAREO is very sparkly-eyed and energetic at heart, she loves cute things and is mostly very caring and kind to those around her. CHU² on the other hand is much more blunt and has somewhat of a temper, easily getting upset or flustered. Both of them however share a lot of similarities in their dedication and hard-working natures to what they are passionate about, one of these things for both of them being RAS.
PAREO's feelings for CHU² is one of the core parts of her character - from the many times she has said she loves and admires the latter a lot, to how CHU² "pulled her out of the darkness", how affectionate she is around her, how her reason for living is dedicating herself to her beloved CHU², and so on. She listens, supports and dotes on CHU² in her own way, while CHU² often orders PAREO around with things like asking her to refill a cup of jerky or doing certain tasks, which she always does with endless enthusiasm.
Before meeting CHU² who also gave her the name PAREO, Reona was a plain old honor student - excelling in sports, having excellent grades and getting along with everyone - who deep down, was depressed and lonely due to having to hide her love for cute things as she has always been burdened by her parents' expectations of her. She hid her true self to the point where she was afraid of telling her elementary school teacher about her dream of becoming an idol, and instead lied that she wants to be a doctor in the future. However after CHU² invited her to an audition upon discovering PAREO's piano covers, CHU² gave her the chance to break free and help her be who she wants to be. CHU² sometimes gets embarrassed from PAREO's antics or compliments towards her, often blushing or telling PAREO off. While she has a more stern personality, she holds a lot of respect and admiration for PAREO.

Fanon[]
Parechu is one of the more popular ships in the fandom. Many fans, particularly those in sapphic communities see the pairing as a breath of fresh air and good representation of sapphics/wlw couples. It is widely accepted and is the biggest pairing for both PAREO and CHU², having virtually no competition with any other pairing for these characters. This is especially since the two are the youngest in the cast and so not many other ships exist for them, along with the fact that PAREO and CHU² mostly interact with each other more than anyone else. Many fans of Parechu also are seen shipping Masurokka as well.
Although there are many who enjoy the pairing and see it as perfectly healthy, there is also a good portion of people who believe CHU²'s actions towards PAREO make the ship unhealthy. Particularly her behavior in BanG Dream! 3rd Season (RAS's First Band Story in-game), where CHU² called her useless and caused PAREO to become depressed to the point of claiming "PAREO no longer exists." Although CHU² has developed long since those stories and has been showing proof of her efforts to be better, as well as clearly expressing that she does indeed care and cherish PAREO, these fans tend to stick to these actions as proof as to why they don't like the ship claiming that CHU² doesn't treat PAREO well or that the pairing is "one-sided." Some also find it icky to ship due to their age and how they are currently the youngest girls in the series. Due to the fact that CHU² attends high school and PAREO is still in middle school, some have also mistakenly thought they have an age gap.

Trivia[]
- The full version of the song Beautiful Birthday has the Japanese phrase "アイシテル" (aishiteru) in it, a particular way of saying "I love you" to someone that is hardly ever used casually and is only ever reserved for more deep intimate love between couples. Even though RAS's vocalist and bassist LAYER sings it, the lyrics and song itself were written by PAREO herself as a birthday gift to CHU². Afterwards, the lyrics following has CHU² say "I love you too" in English, which very heavily implies the feelings between the two are mutual.
- On PAREO's first birthday, she received a pair of headphones that matched the ones that CHU² has, except instead of a blue lighting and cat ears like CHU²'s, PAREO's has a pink lighting and dog ears.
- PAREO travels almost 3 hours a day between Kamogawa, Chiba and Tokyo just to perform with RAS and CHU².
- In an area conversation between CHU² and MASKING, the latter enters CHU²'s penthouse only to find CHU² grumbling about being hungry. When MASKING asks about it, CHU² admits that she hasn't eaten anything throughout the whole day because PAREO was attending a Pastel✽Palettes tour and wasn't there to feed her.
- PAREO and CHU²'s seiyuu, Tsumugi Risa and Kurachi Reo, were the hosts of one of the Bandori-related radio programs, RAISE A SUILEN's RADIO RIOT.
- Tsumugi Risa has also mentioned that she considers Parechu an "official couple" (公認カップル) and likes searching for Parechu fan art and fan content.
- In Garupa Pico, PAREO was the one who chose CHU²'s epithet.
- PAREO has a separate folder on her phone titled "The Most Powerful and Lovely Girl in the Universe", which is filled with nothing but pictures of CHU².[1]
