Pearldra is the het ship between Pearl and Hydra.

Pearl hears the call of the freight train, and instantly becomes annoyed by it like the other coaches. The freight train the rolls in, which includes Hydra, and the coaches and freight start to argue. Control then has the fuel trucks introduce themselves with Hydra coming forward to sing. Pearl and the other coaches sing back up for him, when there's suddenly a black out.

Pearldra is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Mostly due to their limited interactions. Some fans started to ship the two after many started to ship Hydra and Rusty. Leading to shipping between all three in a poly relationship. It being rather rare to ship the two outside of the poly relationship. With some fans preferring to not even have the two get together in such a relationship. Preferring just to have them be friends while they both be with Rusty. Others like the idea of the two ending up together regardless of Rusty. Its rival ship include Prusty and Tendersteam.

Fans often think that the two would get along regardless of the respective rivalry between the freight and coaches. With the two being the ones to ultimatly stop the infighting between their respective groups. Others think that the two may be in a secret relationship behind everyone's back. With it ending up not being a big deal, as their groups end up supportive of the two. Fans also see the two as some of the sweeter characters in the show, and believe they would get along for that reason.

On AO3, Pearldra is the ninth most written ship for both Hydra and Pearl. There are currently 5 written works.
