Penblock is the slash ship between Blocky and Pen from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Blocky and Pen, along with Snowball, are confused by Eraser's bossy bot analogy when he compares Golf Ball to one. They listen in on Eraser talking about how he would do anything to get away from her and a few other people he dislikes.
During team picking, Pen and Eraser call out for Blocky to join their team. Blocky cheers and high fives Pen when he makes it to the team platform.
When the Announcer informs the Squishy Cherries that they're missing a team member for the obstacle course, Pen and Eraser immediately realize that he's referring to Blocky. The two are the first to volunteer when Pin asks for people to help find Blocky. As Pencil tries to get the fish monster to open its mouth, Pen and Eraser see Blocky in the distance and Pen excitedly calls out for him. Blocky explains to the two how the fish monster tried to eat him but narrowly missed. When Blocky makes it back to shore, he and Pen help free Pencil from the grip of the fish monster's tongue.
When Blocky is revealed to be part of the bottom three at the Cake at Stake ceremony, Pen hopes that Blocky is safe right when the Announcer is about to reveal the next one safe. This ends up being true and the Announcer goes along with it. During the test challenge, Blocky announces to Pen and Eraser that he found the test answers. After Eraser gets launched away when Blocky high-fives him, Pen politely asks that he doesn't give him a high-five. Pen later helps Blocky put out a fire by carrying an Ice Cube Recovery Center and using her to repeatedly extinguish it. Once the fire is extinguished, Pen cheers and the two copy down the test answers onto their respective tests. When the challenge is over, both Blocky and Pen have a perfect score when the results are displayed. The Announcer, however, realizes that the test answers are missing and sees the packet next to the two. He calls them out for cheating and sets their scores to zero, causing their team to lose the challenge.
After Pen and Eraser are launched away from ice cube chunks for being safe at Cake at Stake, Blocky enjoys the elbow room from it. When the Announcer reveals that Blocky is the next one eliminated, Pen is in disbelief and defends him in front of the Announcer. Calling him a great guy and a friend, he points out that Blocky's only killed two people. The Announcer is unfazed and launches Blocky away.
Pen tells Eraser how devastating Blocky's elimination was then the two are in the bottom three with Pin.
After popping Bubble and stealing her ball, Blocky goes over to Pen and Eraser and asks them how they're doing with finding one. Pen responds that he only has an apple. Later when Pen finds a ball hanging on a string, him and Blocky agree that it's perfectly fine and Pen turns it into the Announcer.
After getting himself stuck on the edge of a cliff trying to save Eraser, Pen calls out for Blocky to help him. Later during the bread loaf rejoin challenge, Blocky, Pen, and Eraser cheer on Snowball.
Blocky calls Pen, along with Pencil and Leafy, losers enjoying their dolls when they seem them playing with smaller inanimate versions of themselves. He saves Pen after he gets stabbed with the miniature pen. However, Blocky ends up choking on the pen, pencil, and leaf he took from the three.
When Blocky tells the other eliminated contestants that he overheard the Announcer saying that BFDI is cancelled, Pen is excited from it. He explains to Blocky that it will mean they will be released from the Tiny Loser Chamber as Blocky realizes that it's true.
Pen approaches Blocky, Eraser, and Snowball and tells them to look at the second season voting results.
After he and Eraser panic from seeing a pentagon, Pen calls out for Blocky to help him. Blocky uses Saw to cut up the pentagon into two pieces, relieving Pen as he says he never wants to see a pentagon again. During team picking for the fourth season, Pen huddles Blocky and Eraser together and wants to make sure the three all end up on a team together. However, Eraser ends up leaving them when Yellow Face announces free food. Pen tells Blocky that they must keep it together because of this, saying that they're this close while putting two fingers together. Blocky ends up leaving him too after overhearing Grassy shout that his team is sure to get up to funny doings.
As the contestants make attempts to get Four back, Blocky grabs Needle, Pen, and Match and stacks them into the shape of Four.
Blocky, Pen, and Eraser are all hanging out on a picnic bench chatting. After they laugh at something Pen said, Blocky tells the two that he's thinking of doing more pranks but is unable to since all of the recovery centers are gone. While Eraser is onboard to help him, Pen is unwilling to since he would be going against his team's morals of preventing death. Blocky understands and agrees that he shouldn't betray their trust.
After Pen's team takes Blocky's team's emerald from Four and are declared safe from it, Blocky and some of his other team members accuse him of cheating.
The two are happy to see Eraser when he makes it to the top of Gelatin's Steakhouse.
When forming teams for The Power of Two, Pen is happy to team up with Eraser again and asks him where Blocky could be. After Eraser solemnly says that he left them, Pen is confused by it as Fries clarifies that he stayed with Four in Battle for BFB.
Fanon[]
Penblock is part of the Penraserblock poly ship that includes Eraser. Although the poly is more popularly shipped than just Pen and Blocky alone, there are still a considerate amount of fan attention towards the pairing. This is largely because of their early friendship in the first season with the two constantly working together in challenges. In regards to the poly, Penraser largely overshadows the other two ships but Penblock and Eraserblock have about the same popularity within the Battle for Dream Island fandom. Penblock tends to have more fan art throughout while Eraserblock has more fan fictions although both ships have them. The ship is sometimes pared with Snowraser because Snowball is often added to the poly ship, resulting in these two ships as the two-combinations. Other ships outside of the poly that rival the pairing include Blockwood, Snowblock, Snowpen, and Tren.
