PennyKane is the femslash ship between Julia Pennyworth and Kate Kane from the Batwoman fandom.

Tell Me the Truth

Kate asks Julia who the rifle works for, and Julia says that they'll work for everyone and anyone. She sees a little dinosaur on the Batcave computer and comments on how happy Bruce will be that Kate kept it. Kate takes it from Julia, and asks how the Rifle ended up in Gotham. Julia said that he has a job there, and that he'll leave death and destruction in his wake. Kate says that she knows the type, leaving an awkward moment of silence. Julia says it's good on her following in Bruce's footsteps, and Kate says that he seems to be better at keeping his secret than she is. Julia points out that she taught Kate the move she was using, and a few others, leaving Kate slightly embarrassed. Luke enters and Kate is surprised to find that the two know each other. Julia tells Luke that she was gonna suggests a team up, but Kate says no, given their last "team up". Julia tells Luke that Kate's still mad about her lying about not being sent by Bruce to check on her. Kate says that she lied and pretended to have a thing for her, but Julia says she only lied about why she was there. She was trying to help her move on from Sophie, and Luke comments that it didn't work. Kate says to stop, as she needs to stop Sophie from convincing her dad that she's Batwoman, and Julia asks how she can help. Kate says that she can find the Rifle, and stay out of her way.

Through the Looking Glass

Kate is sitting on the edge of the balcony drinking, when Julia comes out. Kate says she didn't realize she was in town, and she says she was checking on Luke when she saw Kate. Julia says it looks like a party of one, and Kate says she would prefer to keep it that way. Julia joins her anyways and says that a friends wouldn't leave her drinking on a ledge. Kate says she's not a hero, as she betrayed her sister and put her in Arkham and Julia asked what made her do that. Kate says that after she killed someone, she didn't feel anything. It felt like she was becoming Alice. Kate says that she doesn't know who she is right now, but she does know that she doesn't want to become her. Julia assures her that she's nothing like her, and the two kiss.

PennyKane has some fans, but it somewhat contentious in the Batwoman fandom. Mostly due to the love triangle involving Sophie Moore. On AO3, PennyKane is the second most written ship for Julia. There are currenty 5 written works.
