PHONE HEAD - EPISODE 1[]

Their first interaction within the pilot occurs when Glee, shortly after the events of the Prologue, teleports into Pepper's home. Pepper is visibly startled by the noise, he investigates only to find his living room wrecked. Completely bewildered, he is then surprised by Glee, teleporting from portal to portal around his home. In an attempt to escape the chaos, Glee grabs onto Pepper, pulling him into one of the portals with her.

After the two of them escape the portal, Glee and her emotium land right on top of him. She attempts to sneak away, only for Pepper to swiftly throw a butcher knife in her direction. Pepper, rightfully on edge, accuses her of trespassing and demands to know who she is and what the "holes [she] came out of" are. Glee begins to explain, but her attention is quickly drawn to a crushed bag of crazy candy on the floor. She excitedly eats some of the candy and replenishes her power, to which Pepper retorts by telling her to stop fooling around, demanding to know who she is.

Glee introduces herself as the youngest princess of Emotia, a world born from human emotions. Glee states she was born from joy, to which he responds with snark.

Glee then explains that she is on a quest to rid the world of negative emotions, all the while Pepper is trying to push her out of his home. The two are then caught off guard by a live broadcast of the Pilot villain, Phone Head. Glee is excited to find a corrupted human so fast, but Pepper is completely disinterested in it, and is dead set on making her leave. Glee persists, wanting to know his name, to which he hesitantly obliges. Glee happily asks him to come with her, stating him to be her "very first human friend" to which Pepper declines and sarcastically remarks that "[he] isn't surprised" at the fact.

Pepper shuts the door on her, but before he can walk away, the doorbell rings. Pepper answers the door, comedically wondering who it is only for it to be Glee. She snatches him with her emotium and then proceeds to take flight to find the corrupted human, much to his annoyance.

Once they arrive, they are attacked by Phone Head, Glee shields Pepper from the attack, and introduces herself. She attempts to fight back, but is unable to due to the amount of negative emotions. Glee screams at the top of her lungs, which startles Pepper as he kneels down next to her in a concerned manner and asks her what's wrong and if she's okay. Before Glee can properly respond, they are attacked again by various 'subscribe bombs', and Pepper carries her to safety.

Pepper, frustrated, tells her to "do what [she] did earlier!", but Glee is consumed with disbelief, wondering if "there was no joy at all". Glee then uses her powers to look closer at the subscribe bots, and Pepper attempts to mimic her, she notices and polices him, telling him that he isn't doing it properly. As the two argue, they are then hit with another subscribe bomb and launched into a pile of candy inside a nearby mart. Pepper ascends from the pile and immediately searches for Glee, only to find her weakened and old by the planet's lack of emotions. She explains that without any joy, her powers will not work. Pepper is startled, and tries to keep them both going, as he descends to the bottom of the pile, he finds the same crazy candy Glee ate earlier, and feeds it to the now old Glee. It rejuvenates her, and she gains an immense power.

During the final confrontation with Phone Head, Pepper and Glee both "defeat" the Phone Head by unplugging his battery. They tie up Phone Head, to which Glee is ecstatic, and hugs Pepper, noting that "it's all thanks to [him]!", Pepper then asks what they are supposed to do now, to which Glee does not know the answer to. As they are caught up in the moment, Phone Head escapes sneaks up on them and enters rapid charging mode. Both of them are terrified with Glee jumping onto Pepper's arms.

Before the Phone Head can truly do any damage, Noah (the uncorrupted version of Phone Head)'s mom intervenes. Glee and Pepper are sucked into the mental landscape of Phone Head, and help Noah and his mom reunite and sort out their troubles.

After Noah is uncorrupted, Pepper and Glee are left at the fountain. Glee asks if Pepper has any family too, to which he reverts back to his standoff-ish demeanor and responds coldly, Glee then happily announces herself to be Pepper's family, then, as the two walk off into the sunset.

GLEE'S MEMBERSHIP WORLD[]

Glee's Membership World is a (now-deleted) YouTube video promoting GH's YouTube membership features, it showcases Glee and Pepper as 3D models discussing the perks of the membership and urging fans to support the channel. The video was 3 minutes long and incredibly short, with Glee mostly talking about the perks of membership with Pepper in the background.

She does snidely comment about fans being able to "access Pepper's secret folder" as one of the perks, which Pepper did not agree to and responds in shock. While discussing the 2nd tier, "Treat Glee to Crazy Candy", Pepper and Glee are both dressed up as animals, a giraffe and panda respectively.

Alongside this, one of the various messages written in different languages at one point of the video reads "😘 Pepper和Glee交往吗?", which directly translates to "Are Pepper and Glee dating?" in Chinese.[1]

MISCELLANEOUS/SHORTS[]

On the 25th of February, 2025, GH'S uploaded the short 'I found her - EMOTIA Animation', showcasing Pepper and Glee as students. The short centers around the pairing, with the animation heavily implying that Pepper has romantic feelings for Glee. The canonicity of this short is not clear. However, their student counterparts appear again in Time for a Haircut - EMOTIA x POPPY PLAYTIME CHAPTER 4, highlighting that they may exist within a separate canon universe.

Prior to the short, GH's uploaded a Tiktok centering around Pepper and Glee to the song 'What Makes You Beautiful' by One Direction, furthermore implying them as a potential couple.

Fanon[]

Although Pepper and Glee are a relatively underappreciated pairing, they still have a dedicated group of fans who appreciate their dynamic. With Pepper’s snarky, no-nonsense attitude contrasting Glee’s adventurous, easily excitable and warm-hearted nature, the pairing greatly appeals to the classic “Opposites Attract” trope. Their differences create an interesting balance that some fans find especially compelling.

While not confirmed within the core canon, official shorts, promotional material, and musical framing suggest a possible romantic dynamic with Pepper and Glee, which add more content for fans of the ship.

PepGlee's main rival is Nlee. However, these two ships may sometimes be end up paired together, resulting in the ship PepNlee.
