Perryshmirtz is the slash ship between Heinz Doofenshmirtz and Perry the Platypus from the Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law fandoms.
Canon[]
Phineas and Ferb[]
Although it's unclear exactly what time and date Doofenshmirtz and Perry first met, a flashback in "It's About Time", revealed that their first interaction took place after Doofenshmirtz got his picture taken at Schnell Foto and had the sneaking suspicion that someone was hiding behind the mailbox. He was right, as Perry the Platypus (Agent P) had just been assigned by O.W.C.A. to spy on Doofenshmirtz and stop him from doing evil. It was from this moment, moving forward, that Doof and Perry became nemeses, who would constantly fight with each other, whenever Doof made an Inator for taking over The Tri-State Area. A dynamic that would continue throughout the entire series.
Doofenshmirtz and Perry's rivalry would go through some rough-patches, such as one in "It's About Time", when Perry discovered Doofenshmirtz cheating on him with another nemesis, this being Peter the Panda, in what essentially became a stand-in for a guy walking in on his spouse cheating on him. Doof explained to Perry that he and Peter met at an Evil Science Expo and somehow ended up having a fling. Doof frantically tried to rationalize that he still hated Perry but just needed a clean break so that they could fight other people for some time. Perry was heartbroken by this and went back to his laboratory, to basically retire from O.W.C.A. for good. Doofenshmirtz would later see a photo of himself on the day he first met Perry the Platypus, and reminisce about how much fun they used to have as nemeses. Thing prompted him to do on Dr. Feelbetter and have a conversation with Perry to try and fix things. (To no one's shock, Peter the Panda was listening backstage the whole time) He told Perry that he was sorry for hurting him in the wrong way, emotionally, as opposed to hurting him the right way, with cartoon violence and elaborate traps. Perry was moved by Doof's words and put his fedora on, signifying their reunion as nemesis. Doofenshmirtz then trapped Perry and Peter in their chairs and revealed that this whole talk show was actually a psyop to use his new Freezinator to freeze Perry, Peter, and all of the other animal agents in the audience for his giant chess board. Perry and Peter broke out of their traps and kicked the tar out of Doofenshmirtz, foiling his plans once again.
In "Oil on Candace", Doofenshmirtz was expecting a visit from his old college professor, Dr. Gevaarlijk but Perry showed up first. Doofenshmirtz told Perry that he didn't have too much time to battle, so he just trapped him in a chair and gave him the 411 on his college professor in song. When Dr. Gevaarlijk came over, Doofenshmirtz failed to impress her with his various inventions, as every one of them failed, so he tried showing off his nemesis to her. When he returned to the chair where Perry was trapped, Perry had removed his hat to look like a normal platypus. In a rare moment of clarity, Doofenshmirtz still recognized Perry without his hat and tried to convince Dr. Gevaarljik that he was a serious threat, even though she saw him as nothing more than a mere platypus. Doofenshmirtz even let Perry out of his chair trap to try and make him thwart him but Perry just sat there, mindlessly staring at the walls and chattering. This led Doofenshmirtz to consider that maybe the platypus that sat before him actually was different than Perry the Platypus. Nevertheless, Doof continued about showing off his latest evil scheme to Dr. Gevaarljik, which involved him firing a supercharged laser at the moon to blow it up, only for him to accidentally self-sabotage by leaning on the laser and firing it into a dam, blowing that up instead. Dr. Gevaarljik was completely disappointed in Doofenshmirtz's failure as an evil scientist and left in a huff, making Doof feel even worse about himself. Just then, Perry came up to him, wearing his recognizable fedora and gave Doof some reassurance, letting him know that despite what Dr. Gevaarlik said to him, he still thought he was evil. Doofenshmirtz thanked Perry the Platypus as the two looked at the moon, together.
In "Doofapus", Doofenshmirtz learned after countless times, failing in battle against, Perry that a human was just not equipped to fight the primal prowess of a semi-aquatic mammal. So, he turned himself into a platypus to level the playing field. However, he also trapped himself in the same kind of chair that he trapped Perry in, thinking this would be a good idea on how to make the fight even more fair but this ended up being kind of stupid. Eventually, the two broke out of their respective traps at the same time and got down to hand-to-hand combat. Their fight was way too evenly matched with both of them coming up with the same kinds of fighting moves to cancel each other out. Their monotreme melee just went nowhere for an exceedingly long amount of time, until they both wore themselves out. Doofenshmirtz eventually came up with the idea to one-up Perry by cloning himself with his Doubleinator so he could have the upper-hand in battle. However, he spent way too long monologuing his plan, (and accidentally firing a shot at Phineas and Ferb's invention), allowing for Perry to just smash his machine with another one of his Inators, destroying it. Doof was crushed under his own inventions. After Perry left, Doof would revent back into a human again, under the blown-up rubble of his Inators, and be greeted by an overdue clone of himself.
In the series finale, "The Last Day of Summer", Doofenshmirtz had an epiphany, thanks to a conversation with Vanessa, that led him to realize that he wasn't truly evil and would be a lot happier if he became good. Doofenshmirtz announced how he's changed his way to Perry and Perry was completely on board with this, quickly becoming friends with Doofenshmirtz and helping him to enact his heroic endeavors. This was a turning point in Doofenshmirtz's life and the beginning of a new arc in his relationship with Perry.
Milo Murphy's Law[]
Doofenshmirtz was now dedicating his life to doing good and helping the world and Perry would occasionally stop by to help him. In "The Phineas and Ferb Effect", Doofenshmirtz learned that he was destined to become a time-travelling hero named "Professor Time", which put a lot of pressure on him, as he would have to live up to an incredibly big title. Perry was there to support him on his road to righteousness. In the mean time, Doof would build various good Inators to help people out and bring goodness to the world. However, in true Inator fashion, inventions would usually cause more harm than good due to various malfunctions and design flaws. Major Monogram tasked Perry with interfering, so that he could help Doofenshmirtz do good things for the world, without destroying the whole town.
This dynamic would continue until "Sick Day", when Doofenshmirtz found out what Monogram had Perry doing. He learned that Perry was getting paid money from O.W.C.A. to monitor him and keep him in check. He felt completely betrayed by Perry, not because of Perry's distrust in his inventions, but because now he felt as though his best friend was just being paid to hang out with him. Doofenshmirtz told Perry that he was hurt and never wanted to see him again. Perry genuinely felt guilty, thinking that he was actually being kind of a traitor to Doofenshmirtz and sadly left him alone. For the rest of the winter, Doofenshmirtz would hold a grudge against Perry the Platypus, which was far more impactful than any of his most burning moments of hatred throughout the summer.
In "Milo in Space", Perry had crossed paths with Doofenshmirtz due to circumstances involving Milo Murphy getting abducted and taken to outer space by Octalians, leading to Perry, Doof, and several other friends of Milo's working together to launch a ship into space to save Milo. During this time, Doofenshmirtz told Perry that he was still mad at him. While they were fixing the spaceship, Perry handed Doofenshmirtz a check, where he was putting all of the money he got paid by O.W.C.A. toward funding Professor Time's research in discovering time travel. Doofenshmirtz was surprised and delighted to see how Perry had made up for his past actions and forgave him, leading to the two becoming friends again.
Phineas and Ferb (Revival)[]
Despite his redemption at the end of the original series and his development as a hero in Milo Murphy's Law, Doofenshmirtz would ultimately relapse the following summer and return to his villainous ways, as seen in "Summer Block Buster". He and Perry would go back to being nemeses and fighting each other.
Fanon[]

Perryshmirtz is a popular ship in the fandom. Outside of the ship's fanbase many are put off by the ship as many would see this to be bestiality, which is considered by quite a number of people inappropriate for a children's cartoon (even though in canon one of Doofenshmirtz's ex-girlfriends, Elizabeth, literally left Doof for a whale). Some fanfictions get around this by making Perry into a human (or Doof into a platypus) to remove all zoophilic implications.
