Phinger is the het ship between Phineas Flynn and Ginger Hirano in the Phineas and Ferb fandom.
Canon[]
Overview[]
Phineas and Ginger are somewhat friendly with each other, knowing of each other through their mutual friend, Isabella. Ginger regularly helps Phineas and Ferb with their inventions, as part of a team effort, along with the rest of The Fireside Girls. Ginger is well-aware of Isabella's crush on Phineas and doesn't really understand what the hubbub is all about. This is in direct contrast with Ginger's own crush on Baljeet. Although their direct one-on-one interactions are increasingly limited, due to being sectioned off into their own respective groups, Phineas and Ginger still know each other and get along quite well, spending a great deal of their childhoods together, mainly during summer vacations but also at school too.
Season 1[]
THE FAST AND THE PHINEAS
Ginger and the other Fireside Girls lined up to become Phineas' pit crew for the race and helped him, whenever he drove up to the pit stop. Ginger also partook in the cheerleading musical number, "Go, Phineas, Go!", supporting him in the big race.
LIGHTS, CANDACE, ACTION!
Ginger stood beside Phineas, while he filmed Candace in her movie. Ginger noticed that the lens cap was still on and whispered to Phineas about this little mistake. Phineas laughed at his embarrassing mistake and took the lens cap off, ready to shoot again. Ginger kind of stood in the back, holding back laughter too at this funny little incident.
RAGING BULLY
Ginger passed out fliers, promoting the Brawl at the Mall, a huge thumb-wrestling match between Phineas and Buford. She did a good job at marketing the match as she got a full house in the stadium and sold fresh out of merchandise and other promotional tie-ins. Ginger watched the match and was crestfallen when Phineas was defeated by Buford but then started pointing and laughing when ice cream fell on him.
ONE GOOD SCARE OUGHT TO DO IT!
Phineas was falling out of the sky and about to hit the ground so Ginger and the other Fireside Girls all tied their sashes together to make a trampoline to save him.
OUT TO LAUNCH
Ginger and the other Fireside Girls played the violins for the song, "Let's Take a Rocket Ship to Space", with Phineas as their conductor.
Season 2[]
INTERVIEW WITH A PLATYPUS
Ginger communicated with a hamster, using Phineas and Ferb's animal translator. She reported to Phineas that the Jones' hamster is mad about his squeaky wheel, demanding his owners oil it. This gave Phineas the idea to start a whole business, translating the animals' questions, comments, concerns, and complaints to their owners to help them out around there.

Ginger went to Phineas' birthday party to celebrate his big special day.

BEE DAY
Ginger shook Isabella to bring her back to sanity again when Isabella got "lost in Phineasland again", as she put it. Isabella laughed really hard at one of Phineas' lame jokes and Ginger told Isabella that it wasn't that funny. Ginger still tagged along with Isabella and The Fireside Girls' mission to get some honey bees for Phineas.
ONE GOOD TURN
Phineas narrated the big sports game with Ginger in it. He noted that the team with Isabella and Ginger (AKA "The Green Team") was way ahead in the lead, leaving The Red Team eating their dust. Phineas stated that Ginger and Isabella were in the lead again later on in the game, seeming reallye excited about it. He said this again once more near the end with The Green Team and The Red Team nearing the finish line. He eventually declared The Red Team the winners when Isabella and Ginger fell off the obstacle course and landed in the mud. Notably, Phineas never used the term "Green Team" to refer to Isabella and Ginger, leading to him saying Ginger's name three times during his narration of the game.
NIGHT OF THE LIVING PHARMACISTS
Ginger sang to Isabella in the song, "Jump Right to It", encouraging her to just ask out Phineas already. However, she did get her messages mixed, telling Isabella to move away from the romantic and into the semantic, when she should have been encouraging her to do the opposite. Ginger was also very much infatuated when Isabella ignored Phineas and focused more on stopping the zombie outbreak instead of fawning over him again.
ACT YOUR AGE
Ginger was one of the people who helped set up a big date between Phineas and Isabella. Ginger was so happy when the two finally got together after all that time.
Fanon[]
Phinger is a rarepair in the fandom, mostly due to both parties being largely overshadowed by a myraid of rival ships, primarily Phinabella and Gingeet. However, some people still ship them as a romantic couple. It has pretty much been confirmed in-series that Ginger does not have feelings for Phineas and it's unlikely Phineas feels anything for her besides friendly admiration.
