Pink Bros is the friendship between Steven Universe and Lars Barriga from the Steven Universe fandom.
Canon[]
Since Steven is a regular at the Big Donut, where Lars worked whenever he isn't at school, Steven had become accustomed to seeing Lars almost every day. However, though Steven always considered Lars a good friend, Lars had been very unsubtle about finding Steven annoying.
Season 1[]

Throughout the first season, Steven's dynamic with Lars had been established since the very first episode. Lars is aware of Steven's "magic", but just like most of Beach City, he doesn't seem to care that much.
In the episode "Cat Fingers", Steven shows off his shapeshifting abilities at the Big Donut. Lars' coworker Sadie finds the finger that Steven turned into a cat adorable and tries to convince Lars to pet it, but when Lars does, the cat lashes out and bites him.
In "Bubble Buddies", Steven finds himself trapped inside a bubble shield with his crush Connie and the two roll the bubble to the Big Donut in hopes that either Lars or Sadie could help burst it. Though Sadie gives an honest effort, Lars is wasting their time teasing Steven for having a "girlfriend".
In "Tiger Millionaire", Steven taking on the titular pro-wrestling persona has Lars become his number one fan without knowing that Steven and Tiger Millionaire are the same person. However, due to Amethyst convincing Steven to go through a Heel-arc causing Steven to knock Lars' drink over after Lars asked him to sign it, Lars' adoration quickly turns to resentment and Steven realizes that he messed up when the rest of the crowd similarly turned on him. However, when Garnet and Pearl find out about Steven and Amethyst's endeavors, they actually play along to becoming the new Heels and letting themselves be defeated by Steven and Amethyst, causing Lars to shed a tear while whispering that he loves Tiger Millionaire.
In "So Many Birthdays", Steven losing control over his physical age has him enter the Big Donut as a middle-aged man, causing neither Lars nor Sadie to recognize him. As Steven realizes that he needs to feel like a kid again to return back to normal, he asks them for help getting into his "birthday suit" (meaning a costume his dad always wears for Steven's birthday). Though Lars and Sadie both take it the wrong way, Lars actually seems to find Sadie getting embarrassed by the request funny.
In "Lars and the Cool Kids", Steven sees Lars staring at a trio of older kids while he was going to eat at the local pizzeria. As Steven approaches him, Lars acts very anxious and tells Steven that those three are the "cool kids" (Buck, Sour Cream and Jenny) and that he's waiting to be noticed by them so they hopefully invite him to hang out with them. Steven naively thinks that he would just have to talk to them, approaching the three despite Lars' protests. Lars hides and worries that Steven will "ruin everything", but the Cool Kids take a shine to Steven and invite both Steven and Lars to have a joyride in Jenny's car. As they drive through the town, Lars begins to get frustrated that his attempts at acting cool failed in comparison to Steven just being himself. However, the group eventually decides to go to a lagoon called "Dead Man's Mouth" to go swimming together, but Steven recognizes the place from one of his Crystal Gem missions and tries to warn them from not going near the water, else they be consumed by magical moss. Lars nearly went along with them, but was stopped by Steven just before witnessing the Cool Kids be enveloped by the moss. As Lars is horrified, Steven explains that the moss was planted by his mother, causing Lars to snap at him for his "weird mom" tanking his chances to become one of the cool kids. Steven however gets angry for once at his mother being insulted and tells Lars that one of the few things he knows about her is that she saw the good in everything, even in "jerks" like Lars. However, Steven remembers what the Crystal Gems said about the moss: if left in the sun, it will blossom into an array of flowers. So Steven and Lars work together to load the three into Jenny's car and drive up a nearby hill. However, as the carry the three the last leg of the journey, they too start succumbing to the growing moss and collapse near the peak of the hill. As the clouds part, the moss blossoms all around them and the group regains consciousness just as they share the beautiful view of the flowers being carried all across town by the wind. Lars is thankful for Steven's help and finally accepts a high-five from him.

Fanon[]
Though Lars' friendship with Steven always received some attention, most of that attention was negative as many disliked Lars for being needlessly mean and dismissive when Steven was nothing but kind to him. Even prior to Season 5 giving Lars some necessary development, many were hoping that Steven's powers could play a part in improving Lars' disposition. When Season 3 actually had the episode "The New Lars", which involved Steven accidentally taking over Lars' body and his outgoing nature leading to Lars becoming more popular without knowing, that episode was met with a divisive reception as Lars himself only became more depressed over finding out that people liked Steven-as-Lars more than they liked the real Lars. Some thought that Steven helping Lars work through his issues by fusing with him could've been interesting, as that would've given Lars a confidence boost and some control over his life again.
When Season 5 started with Lars dying after fighting for a group of Homeworld outcasts he had just met, along with Steven resurrecting him giving him Lion's powerset, the reception to Lars' development was near universally well-received and Lars quickly rivalled Steven as the most popular male character in the show.
Though there have been fans who shipped Lars with Steven romantically since Season 1, the majority of the fanbase does not approve of that. Especially since "The New Lars" heavily implied that Lars is at least seventeen years old and would most likely be near his early twenties by the time of the Movie and Future, Steven ending the series at sixteen meant that the age gap is simply too big for most people to ignore.
