Pink Freeze is the non-binary ship between Pearl and Volta from the Starlight Express fandom.

Volta and Pearl rarely interact in most productions. With them mostly being up to the actors for small interactions during Pearl's time with Electra. With their interactions ceasing all together after "The Rap".

Wembley Park Theatre[]

Electra appears along with Volta and the other components. Pearl immediately skating up to the group and watching them all in awe. Volta then goads her forward, and she joins him and the others in dancing back up for Electra. Control calls for everyone to pick partners, and Volta stays behind with the other components to watch Pearl. Rusty tries to get Pearl to race with him, as Volta skates to her side, which she is unaware of. Pearl tries to tell Rusty why she won't be his partner, with the Volta and the components finishing that steam's had its day. Volta then pulls puts up and electric field around Pearl and circles her several times before going to stand guard. Killerwatt then tells Pearl Electra's offer and Volta leaves with the rest of the components. After the second heat, Pearl joins goes by Volta as Rusty announces his intention to go in Momma's place. Volta laughs at this and tries to get Pearl to join in but she refuses. She then gives him an annoyed look when he joins in calling Rusty a laughing stock.

Pink Freeze is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. This is due to Volta and Pearl not having any major interactions in the show. Some like the idea of Pearl getting together with one of the components after the events of the show. With her having ended up forming a stronger bond with one of them than either Electra or Rusty. The name "Pink Freeze" comes from Pearl being pink for most of her iterations and Volta being a freezer truck. Its rival ships include Prusty and Electronents.
