Pit is a character from the Kid Icarus and Super Smash Bros. fandom.
Character[]
Pit is the right-hand man of the goddess Palutena, whom he's fiercely loyal to. With her aid, he fights the Underworld Army and other foes in order to protect humanity. Despite having wings, Pit needs to be given permission of a god to fly, and even then for only five minutes.
Pit is defined by his optimism, even at his darkest hour, he clings onto the hope that he'll make it. Even in battle, Pit is always open to lighten the mood with a friendly chat or a joke.

Trivia[]
- Pit is based on two different figures from Greek Mythology: 1. Icarus (where the series gets its name from), son of Daedalus, who famously used wax wings to fly, only to get too close to the sun and fall to his death. 2. Cupid (where Pit gets his name from), god of love who used a bow to shoot people with his arrows, making them fall in love with each other. Pit's relationship with Palutena also mirrors Cupid's relationship with his mother, Aphrodite.
