Platypus Bros is the friend ship between Phineas Flynn, Ferb Fletcher, and Perry the Platypus from the Phineas and Ferb fandom.
Canon[]
Overview[]
Phineas and Ferb are the owners of Perry the Platypus, keeping him and caring for him as a pet. They try to include him in their summer activities but he usually takes off to go on his daily fights with Doofenshmirtz, leaving the boys to wonder where he went. He always returns at the end of the day, which is almost always after their little events are over. The boys are always delighted to see him return, pointing out that he has returned.
Season 1[]
ROLLERCOASTER
Phineas and Ferb didn't know what they wanted to do today. Phineas asked Perry what he wanted to do and Perry just chattered. Phineas understood that Perry was a platypus so he didn't do much. Perry would stand around with Phineas and Ferb while they built their rollercoaster for some time before he disappeared, leading Phineas to ask where he went. Perry later fell out of the sky and landed in the rollercoaster cart with Phineas and Ferb, riding the rest of the Coolest Coaster Ever with them. Ferb said that the platypus is the only mammal to lay eggs and Phineas considered that maybe tomorrow, they'll teach him how to lay an egg as a trick.
JERK DE SOLIEL
Phineas and Ferb wanted Perry to be in their circus for one of their stunts, dressing him up like an idiot to be "The Amazing Perry". Perry was not happy about having to wear such a stupid outfit but he had no choice. When he was flying off on his mission to fight Doofenshmirtz, he overheard Phineas announcing his arrival in the circus and knew he had no choice but to turn around and do the stupid stunt real quick.
READY FOR THE BETTYS
Phineas and Ferb accidentally stumbled into Perry's secret lair and ended up going on one of his missions to fight Doofenshmirtz. Perry knew that he needed to stay out of Phineas and Ferb's way so that he didn't get busted by them.
TOY TO THE WORLD
Phineas and Ferb made a toy based on Perry the Platypus, which was just a wooden inaction figure that did absolutely nothing. The executives at The Har D Har Toy Company kept trying to come up with ideas on how to make the Perry toy more interesting and thematic but Phineas rejected all of these ideas, saying that he's just a platypus and nothing more. Perry ended up landing in the middle of the toy factory, in full secret agent gear and Phineas thought he was just a toy. He picked him up and threw him out, reminding his workers that he's just a platypus.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF CANDACE
Doofenshmirtz told Perry about his invention, where he would destroy anyone who can't make up their minds. Perry's eyes widened with shock as he flashed back to Phineas saying "Ferb and I just can't make up our minds." He knew that the stakes were high with this mission as the lives of his beloved owners were on the line here.
PHINEAS AND FERB GET BUSTED!
Perry had a nightmare about Ferb discovering that he was actually a secret agent, which led to the agents of O.W.C.A. breaking into the house and kidnapping the whole family, which would have ultimately led to Perry needing to be relocated. Perry woke up from this bad dream, when he was sleeping in bed with Phineas. Phineas told Perry that he seems like he had a bad dream and then cuddled with him to make him feel better. Perry then happily went back to sleep with Phineas, knowing that he was still safe at home with his family and nothing would ever take that away from him.
Season 2[]
INTERVIEW WITH A PLATYPUS
Phineas and Ferb sat around, watching Perry the Platypus just sitting around on the ground. Perry chattered and Phineas and Ferb started chattering too, wondering what this chattering meant. This gave Phineas the idea to build an animal-to-human translator. Phineas put Perry up to the machine and Perry chattered into it, which only translated to more chattering.
CHEZ PLATYPUS
Phineas and Ferb built a platypus-themed restaurant based on Perry. They brought Perry to the restaurant and put him up on stage for a big water show to show the audience.
PERRY LAYS AN EGG
Phineas and Ferb thought that Perry laid an egg when a bird laid an egg and it rolled under Perry's butt. When Perry went missing, Phineas and Ferb built a giant robot platypus butt to keep the egg warm until it hatched.
OH, THERE YOU ARE, PERRY!
Perry went missing and Phineas and Ferb decided to sing an entire song about how much they loved him to bring him back home.

Fans adore the relationship between Perry and his owners. They think it's very nice how a badass, grizzled secret agent like Perry actually has a soft spot for his owners, as he loves them with all his sweet heart. This goes to show that Perry is just as much a family man as he is a work-oriented businessman. This brings out a balance to Perry's character that rarely gets explored. Perry relies of Phineas and Ferb for protection and safety and the brothers just enjoy having a pet as cute and cuddly as him around.
One of the few issues with this relationship is that Perry doesn't usually get to spend much time with Phineas and Ferb, due to him always going off to fight Doofenshmirtz in every episode. Some fans wish that Perry could straight up defeat Doofenshmirtz once and for all so that he can spend all of his time with Phineas and Ferb, playing with them on their daily inventions. However, Perry's lack of bouts with Doofenshmirtz would lead to their inventions never disappearing, which would mean that they'd get busted. This makes Perry's regular absences from Phineas and Ferb's life a necessary evil. However, Perry still gets to hang out with them before and after the inventions so it's not too much of an issue and yeah, there's been a few "blue-moon" episodes where Perry does partake in the inventions, (i.e. "Rollercoaster", "Jerk de Soliel", and "Interview With a Platypus") but there's not that many.
This friendship is often paired with Canderry, the friend ship between Perry and Candace Flynn. It's also a fragmental ship to the family ship, Flynn-Fletcher Family.
