PoisonJess is the femslash ship between Pamela Isley and Jessica Cruz from the DC Super Hero Girls fandom.

Canon[]

Jessica Cruz is someone who cares about the planet and wants to bring people together. This is why she tries to become friends with Pamela Isley. After learning that she cares about nature, Jessica tries to get closer to her. Ivy had considered the idea of becoming friends with Jess after seeing her "save the trees" sign, but once she saw her drinking a plant-made drink, that put her off. This is due to the fact that Pamela found the sight of plants and healthy green food being eaten, "harmed," taken apart and burned, horrifying. Jess, however, kept trying to push her way into Ivy's life, but each time, Ivy became annoyed with Jess. Jess was unaware of how Pamela didn't like what she did, making her mission to befriend Ivy very hard. Along with the fact that Poison Ivy and Green Lantern are enemies. So even though they're unaware of each other's secret identities, Jessica being Green Latern is also another factor that plays into Pamela's disdain. Despite the many times Pamela has made it clear that she wants nothing to do with Jessica, Jess refused to give up, as she hopes that they'll eventually become friends. Even though her friends try to help Jess see that she can't push her way into Isley's life.

Jess had invited Pamela to join her in a camping trip with some of her friends. In hopes that them being out in nature together with other people will get them to become friends, but Jess's vegetarian cubebs and seeing Jess's friends "harming" the plants horrified her. Resulting in Poison Ivy to creature plant based zombies that attack Jess's group, while being unaware than an angry Isley was beside it. That's why Jess was happy to see Pamela unharmed as they were driving back to the city. During the camping trip, before night fell upon them, Jess had tried to get the others to be nice towards the gloomy from their school. While Jess's over the top friendly approach had got Pamela to regret expecting Jess's well meaning invitation to the forest.

When the two were partnered up as parents for their egg baby, Jessica was filled at the idea and hugged Ivy, who wasn't happy about it at all. Jess saw it as the opportunity for them to bond and become friends. While Jess was listing the things they could do together, Ivy eats the raw egg. If the two don't have a "baby" to look after for the assignment, she can get out of being Jess's partner. Even though her actions means they'll both fail, Ivy would put that predicament over being stuck with Jess any day.

As Jess tries to round up a protest to save a large tree that has been around long before the city was even build, and was losing hope that anyone else would care about it, Pamela was the only one who wanted to save the tree as well. Filling Jess with joy and hope. Despite her thoughts about Jess, Pamela asks her if she can come alone to her protest. Once Pamela asked Jess what the plan to save it was, however, regretted asking about it. From how she found herself to be chained up to the tree next to Jess, who was shouting protect chant cries that fell on death ears. Along with Pamela seeing that the tree is set to be cut down to tomorrow and went to the opposite side of the tree to get away from Jess. Who kept chanting until Pamela told her to stop, Jess tried to apologise for wasting her time and getting the day wrong, but Pamela cut her off. Through Pamela's strong connection with plants she learns the tree's story and ends up sharing it with Jess, who found the story to be beautiful. When men arrived to get the tree down, Pamela's angry turns her into Poison Ivy and Jess is left fighting her as Green Lantern. Their battle, however, Green Lantern ends up harming that tree in ways that causes it to fall down. Jess was horrified of what she had done by accident, while Ivy tells that Lantern that she is unworthy to wear the green colors of life and that she's make her pay for what she did. After the battle Jess and Pamela return to the tree's stump, where Pamela believes that people are a lost cause. Jess, however, notices an acorn next to the stump and the two of them decide to plan it into a new tree. Their actions gets Pamela to smile as Jess tells her that there is no such thing as a lost cause. Pamela had allowed Jess to put her arm around her should as the two began to walk their back back home, but soo after Jess said that they were starting a beautiful friendship Pamela pushes Jess off of her. While telling Jess to not push it, cutting their nice moment short.
