PoisonPlants is the cargo ship between Pamela Isley and plants from the DC Comics, DC Animated Universe, Gotham and DC Super Hero Girls fandoms.

Pamela Isley always had a fondness for plants and the beauties of nature. In a past life she worked with plants and took good care of them back when she used to make perfumes, and was part of the world of science. Seeing plant life being taken for granted and people destroying forests and nature's other beautiful creations filled Pamela with rage. Believing that she was the only person who truly cared about nature and that it has been crying out for help from those who wish harm upon them, she became Poison Ivy. As well as turning herself into human plant hybrid, by choice or by accident (depending on the universe), that grants her powers to control plant life and to become unharmed by the poisons some of them create. Hence the "poison" part of her villain name. Along with the fact that she has created other poisons or mind control pollen, thanks to her powers and knowledge on plants.

This transformation has Ivy see plant life as her children and friends who need protection. Along with viewing herself as Mother Nature, before and after she learns about the power of the Green. Those thoughts have others view Ivy as mentally ill and has been locked up in Arkum Asylum more than once. Due to the number of people she harmed for endangering the planet's green. The doctors would sometimes allow Ivy to keep potted plants in her cell, as a means to keep her calm. Some of Ivy's crimes are of her "rescuing" plant specimens from labs and museums that would "mistreat" them, while she would offer them protection and the chance to thrive, so they won't go extinct.

The event that turns Pamela Isley into Poison Ivy in Batman: The Animated Series is the extension of rare poisonous roses. When the land they grew on was used to serve as the location of a prison Harvy Dent had a hand in building. Pamela managed to save one of those roses before the rest were destroyed by the bulldozers. Wanting to avenge those roses, Pamela used the one she saved to synthesis a poison to kill the man he holds responsible. She placed the poison on her lips so she'll be able to pass it into him without any trouble, while remaining unharmed by it. She used a greenhouse as her liar, before it was found by Batman and their battle led many of her precious plants to be destroyed in the fire. Part from the roses Batman needed to cure his friend, before allowing Ivy to keep the rest of the flowers in her cell.

When Ivy decided to start a family that loves her on her terms, she gets the idea to use her doctor as a means to leave the asylum and to provide her with the materials to create their children. Because of her plant hybrid DNA she is unable to have children the natural way and came up with another way to become a mother and wife. Her children, however, had a short-lived spam that is close to certain type of plants, along with their final stage from being of a mutant plant man, before dying but Ivy didn't mind much. From preferring plants than human people. She "grew" her children under the greenhouse, where she also kept their "father" next to the pods that serve as plant made wones. Ivy was happy of the life she made with them in their father and sons forms, before Batman discovered what she was doing and used her self made double, that was made the same way her family was, to get away. While being heart broken over losing the family she used her knowledge of science and plants to create.

Instead of being a villain like her other DC media counterparts, Ivy attends a school that teaches her how to be a hero. She spent most of her time in the school's greenhouse creating superpowered pollen and plant-like creatures. Saving some of the students from her living plant creatures had got Ivy to be named Hero of the Month. Spending most of her free time with the plants she has cared for or had altered, by giving them a consciousness and personal, Principal Waller felt that Ivy should try to spend less time with plants and more time with people. Luckily Ivy was able to join the Science Club that allows her to continue her plant experiments with help from her club mates, like Frost. The potted plants Flash and Frost had as part of their recruitment stall was what helped Ivy to pick their club.

Becoming closer to the other students got Ivy to put in a show of two flowers dancing on the water, like they were people ice dancing. She would also lend some of her plants to her friends, who trust Ivy and her plant powers. In return they help Ivy when one of her plants or plant creatures get out of control. Like Franken, who attacked anyone they saw as a danger to Ivy, and despite how many times her plant creature-like pet has attacked someone she still cared about him and asked her friends not to kill him. Franken's animal-like behaviour subjected that he might have been Ivy's "super pet." Ivy's plant creatures weren't the only plants to cause her and the rest of the school trouble from time to time. One example being the time Ivy was synthesising a sleeping pollen that ended up exploding into a cloud that puts the half of the school to sleep. Ivy being unaffected by the pollen and poisons she creates is what spared her from it and knows a flower that she can use to create an antidote. Despite it growing in the marsh that Grundy calls home, Ivy was able to call upon the rest of its plant life to her aid and gets the flower to come to her. Without the need of picking it out of the ground.

Most of Ivy's clothe designs for Crazy Quilt's class had some sort of flower and plant green design. The dress Ivy was making with her powers was even revealed to be made out of plants, the moment she accidentally destroys it when she got told that she would be partnering up with Batgirl. During the rescue mission to save their teacher from Killer Moth, Ivy grows vines to get past his Lazore wires and pollen from a flower to reveal them to Batgirl. The potted plants in his lair also helped Ivy to sneak up behind him without his notice.

The reboot series has Ivy preferring the company of plants than people and carried around the plant she sees as her best friend called, Philius. Seeing plant life being used as food, firewood and to build wooden buildings and items deeply upsets her. Ivy even feels that she can hear their cries of pain whenever she sees nature's greenery creations being "harmed," taken apart, burned and eaten. One time when Pamela found a letus leaf in her sandwich, she cries like she had lost a friend or loved one, before chewing the slice of meat in like an angry animal. Ivy would rather eat meat than veggies, as that is cannibalism to her.

She joined the Super Villain Girls as a means to take out those who wish to harm nature like it is nothing. Once a plant or tree has been used to make something, she has no trouble destroying letter boxes and other wooden made items. She even controlled salads and plant blended drinks to attack those who would dare to eat them. During a camping trip where Ivy was forced to see people cut, pick and burn flowers and wood, before having chopped veggies shoved into her face, she ran into the woods to get away from the other campers. The rage she felt from their actions towards nature, along with her seeing a half cut down tree that has had "Hal Rules" carved into the bark, Poison Ivy create an army of plant zombies to attack them.

• When Ivy saw Batman walking past her cell, she shields the potted plant the doctors allow her to have. Fearing that the Dark Knight might try to harm it.

Gotham

• A young Ivy was seen watering the plants she had in the apartment she lived in with her mother. Before she found herself becoming an orphan on the streets.

Harley Quinn (2019)

• One of Ivy's friends is a living Venous Flytrap called, Frank. Who has the ability to restore plant life.
• Harley gives Ivy part of a small plant, as thanks for the info she shared on Joker's family. After Harley left Ivy used her powers to make the plant bloom.
• After Ivy was killed she was revived by the power of nature.
• Ivy dreams about creating her own Garden of Edan, and to share it with Harley.

DC fans of Poison Ivy have always noticed the way she deeply cares about plants and would put them before human people, that aren't Harley. People have even found her humanoid plant appearance to be beautiful, from how her green colored skin or clothes tend to make her iconic red hair stand out. Some do understand where she is coming from when it comes to protecting nature, while another group think that Ivy should try to find another way to save the planet's greenery. Because cargo ships don't get much attention like other ships do, some people tend to focus on the DC fandoms that have Ivy's "plant friends" possessing a consciousness or personal. Like Frank the Plant from the 2019 animated series of Harley Quinn.

The nature of Ivy's powers and her connection to plant life, sometimes has fans feature her beside other characters who also have the ability to control nature's leafy creations. Along with featuring Ivy in nature or flowery settings in their fanart of her.
