Poisonous Obsession is the het ship between Salem and Tyrian Callows from the RWBY fandom.
Canon[]
We first meet Tyrian in rwby volume 4. It is shown in the first episode that Salem trusts Tyrian enough to have him hunt down Ruby and bring her back alive. Tyrian is obsessively loyal toward Salem, to the point of worshiping her. He then later in volume 4 says that his body belongs only to his goddess refereing to Salem. He also seems to be afraid of Salem as he was afraid of her reaction once he failed to get Ruby.
When Tyrian comes back to Salem he confesses to her that he failed but that he poisoned Qrow. When Salem tells Tyrian that she is dissapointed in him, he suffers a mental breakdown, crying out in greif and despair. He then takes out his pain and anger on a Beowolf grimm and he brutally and sadistically kills. This shows that Salem's approval means everything to him. It is also revealed in volume 7 that when Tyrian first met Salem after being rescued from a prison transport, his first words he said to her were "Beautiful".
In volume 5, Salem asks Watts to have a new tail made for Tyrian. Salem then orders both Tyrian and Watts in volume 6 to go to Atlas and prepare for her arrival. In volume 8, unlike most of Salem's subordinates, it is revealed that Tyrian is fully aware of Salem's desire to destroy the world. He then reveals that this reason is why he chooses to worship her as a goddess. He then also calls her destruction incarnate. It is also shown many times in volume 8 that Salem strocks Tyrian's head as if he were a pet.

Poisonous Obsession is a rarepair in the RWBY fandom. Fans of the ship are often drawn to the fact that Tyrian is seemingly obsessed with her. Salem also seems to treat Tyrian the best out of all of her lieutenants. There is also a common belief that Tyrian might be in love with Salem and Salem knowingly manipulates him for this reason. It has a small fanbase on tumblr.
