In Episode 4, Hero’s Gate, White Lily Cookie is seen kneeling in front of a statue of Pure Vanilla Cookie. GingerBrave asks her what she’s doing in Hero’s Gate. Wizard Cookie says that it looked like she was praying. She says no and clarifies that the statue is “[her] dear friend.” Custard Cookie III asks who it is and she replies that he is Pure Vanilla Cookie, “[her] old friend” and “the founder of the Vanilla Kingdom.” She says that she misses him and when she thinks of his face she feels sad and that the last thing she remembers is him trying to protect her. GingerBrave suggests White Lily Cookie come with him and his friends to the Vanilla Kingdom. She replies that there’s something she’d like to tell Pure Vanilla Cookie and that she’ll follow him afterwards.
In Episode 6, Ancient Altar, after the Sugar Swan was purified, she says that the only cookie who was able to oppose Dark Enchantress Cookie was Pure Vanilla Cookie, and right now his wisdom is needed. White Lily Cookie suddenly remembers her last moment with Pure Vanilla Cookie and says that she can’t let him suffer again.

In Episode 7, Forgotten Academy, it is revealed that White Lily Cookie and Pure Vanilla Cookie went to school together at Blueberry Yogurt Academy when they were children. In Ghost City, when tapping Ice Cream Ghost, one of the things he says is, “There were two students who always held hands…”—White Lily Cookie and Pure Vanilla Cookie.
When obtaining White Lily Cookie’s report card, a flashback cutscene triggers where Pure Vanilla Cookie is astonished that she’s top of the class again. She angrily asks him when did she let him see her report card. He apologizes, saying that he didn’t mean to and that he came to congratulate her. White Lily Cookie asks Pure Vanilla Cookie how he passed his exams, and he replies that his score is way below hers but still right behind her. He bets that she can skip a grade this time, and she agrees, saying that she was thinking about that herself since the class is too easy for her. He admits that he was thinking the same thing, and she asks why as she thought that everyone in his class liked him. Pure Vanilla agrees but says that he really wanted to study together with her since he thinks that they have similar interests in magic.
When obtaining the broken teacups, another cutscene triggers where White Lily Cookie tells Pure Vanilla Cookie she made some tea and asks him if he’d like a cup. He drinks the tea and says that it’s so fragrant before thanking her. She replies that she’s glad he enjoyed it and that she must leave for a while. Confused, he asks her where she’s going, and she replies that her lily aroma is so strong and that it will spoil the taste of his tea. He asks her what she’s talking about and says that he likes her lily aroma, before adding that it’d be a shame to drink this delicious tea alone anyway. White Lily Cookie tells Pure Vanilla Cookie that he’s too kind and to not let his kindness betray him. He replies that that’s not going to happen and that everyone likes to be treated with kindness.
When obtaining the hand-written notes, another cutscene triggers where White Lily Cookie and Pure Vanilla Cookie are in the library, exchanging notes about finding a book she wanted but was in the professors’ section and him getting it for her. The History Professor catches them and bans them from the library for a week, but Pure Vanilla Cookie successfully obtained the book. White Lily Cookie happily praises him, saying that he’s the best.
There is another flashback cutscene where Pure Vanilla Cookie finds White Lily Cookie alone at their secret garden. He says that he knew he’d find her here then asks her why he didn’t show up to class, adding he was worried about her. White Lily Cookie replies that she wouldn’t learn anything new and that their experiments are more complex and exciting. Pure Vanilla Cookie suggests they go together next time as it’s so boring without her, and she happily replies that she will if he wishes. He then asks her what she was doing and she replies that she was looking into ways to make Cookies less crumbly. He says that he’s sure some Cookies will find her research very helpful and that he’s glad to do things for the good of all Cookies with her. She agrees and says that there are Cookies in the world who need their help. White Lily Cookie, now alone, says that Pure Vanilla Cookie was her only friend and that their days will never come back.
In Episode 8, Hall of Enlightenment, there are more flashback cutscenes involving Pure Vanilla Cookie and White Lily Cookie as students. Upon obtaining a purple book, a cutscene triggers where White Lily Cookie says that the book they snuck from the library is called “The Ultimate Cookie Recipes,” and that it might contain recipes for sweet, unbreakable, perfect Cookies. Pure Vanilla Cookie comments that they won’t find that in their textbooks. White Lily Cookie looks into the book, listing off the ingredients needed for the dough.
When obtaining an old Cookie Cutter, another cutscenes triggers where Pure Vanilla Cookie says that she got the Cookie Cutter from the laboratory, adding that, somehow, he feels a deep connection with it. White Lily Cookie says that it’s hard to believe that something so cold and cruel might be related to the mystery of the Cookies’ origins. Pure Vanilla Cookie replies that he thought love and warmth brought Cookies into the world, and White Lily Cookie says that the academy never intended to teach them the truth and that it’s within their power to shed light on the mystery of the Cookies’ birth. Pure Vanilla Cookie agrees and suggests they keep reading the recipe book and carry on with their experiments.
Wizard Cookie comments that Pure Vanilla Cookie and White Lily Cookie were the smartest students of their time at Blueberry Yogurt Academy and that they secretly conducted research on high-energy magic none else understood which is what brought them close.
Upon obtaining an old piece of paper with an illustration of a Cookie on it (parodying Vitruvian Man), another cutscene is triggered where Pure Vanilla Cookie finds White Lily Cookie. She says that it’s been a while, and he asks what those papers she had are. She explains that he didn’t come for a long while so she continued researching alone, and that she has come to the conclusion that they failed their last experiment because they didn't properly analyze the Cookie anatomy, but now she knows what Cookies are made of. Pure Vanilla Cookie is worried, and White Lily Cookie asks what’s wrong and says that he doesn’t sound like himself. He dismisses his worry and says that only he can help her create the perfect Cookie… and that only he can stop her.
Strawberry Cookie comments that White Lily Cookie looks thinner, and White Lily Cookie says that she doesn’t smile anymore when she looks at her and wonders if it’s because of her failed experiments. GingerBrave says that he and the others were worried about her and she replies that it might take some time before she finds a way to make the perfect Cookie but asks him to not look at her the way Pure Vanilla Cookie did.
When obtaining the first academy headmaster’s portrait, another flashback is triggered where White Lily Cookie says that many days have passed but she’s still unable to create the perfect Cookie and concludes that her research was a failure. Pure Vanilla Cookie tells her that it’s impossible for Cookies to create other Cookies. She says that the only thing they’ve managed to create so far was just dough—underbaked, shapeless, burnt dough. She then suggests adding a fraction of the first headmaster’s soul into their dough since they were the one that taught the Cookies how to use magic. Shocked by this, Pure Vanilla Cookie tells her to listen to herself.
In Episode 11, Timeless Kingdom, when reaching the Solarium of Unity at the Vanilla Castle, in a cutscene, GingerBrave asks Healer Cookie—who is revealed to be Pure Vanilla Cookie—what happened to the rest of the Ancients. Healer Cookie replies that he doesn’t know what happened to them after the Dark Flour War and says that this is all his fault, as he couldn’t protect his kingdom. He also says that he couldn’t even protect “[his] dearest friend”—White Lily Cookie.

When reaching the Chapel, there’s a flashback cutscene of Pure Vanilla Cookie’s coronation with White Lily Cookie in attendance. He thanks her for coming and says that this is the first time they’ve met since their academy days. She apologizes, saying that she wanted to be here sooner but had to apologize to everyone for her incident at the academy (when her experiments ended up converting everyone in the academy into spirits). Pure Vanilla Cookie understands but says that he’s really glad she made it and that he’s happy she’s here to share his coronation day with her. White Lily Cookie thanks him, saying that he’s the only Cookie to have accepted her back.

When reaching the Greenhouse, in a cutscene, Healer Cookie sees the figure of White Lily Cookie who then transforms into Dark Enchantress Cookie. Dark Enchantress Cookie asks him if he’s still distracted by the hopeless echoes of the past and says that she is Dark Enchantress Cookie. Healer Cookie apologizes and says that the Greenhouse reminded him of their secret garden and asks her if she remembers how they used to walk in their garden, talking about how to better the Cookies’ future.

In Episode 1, Secrets of the Silver Kingdom, Pure Vanilla Cookie hears the fractured Light of Freedom call to him, saying that White Lily Cookie needs his help and that she must wake up so she can hear its voice again.
Once in Beast Yeast, Pure Vanilla Cookie hears the voice of Light of Freedom again which startles him. GingerBrave asks him what’s wrong and he replies that he thought he heard a familiar voice from somewhere but he must’ve been mistaken.
When GingerBrave sees the first shard of the Light of Freedom Pure Vanilla Cookie hears the Light of Freedom again. Wizard Cookie asks him if the Light of Freedom is similar to his Light of Truth, and he replies yes, he carries the Light of Truth in his Soul Jam like White Lily Cookie carried the Light of Freedom in her Soul Jam. He adds that he thought the Light of Freedom faded away once White Lily Cookie was rebaked into Dark Enchantress Cookie but it feels as if it’s calling out to him.
After GingerBrave, his friends, and Pure Vanilla Cookie all experience the first vision of White Lily Cookie’s memories, Pure Vanilla Cookie wonders if the vision is a fragment of her memories somehow, saying that he’s sure that the shard of the Light of Freedom holds a part of White Lily Cookie’s soul within it. He thinks to himself if the voice that was calling him came from this shard. Wizard Cookie is skeptical and thinks that the shard is one of Dark Enchantress Cookie’s tricks. Pure Vanilla Cookie says if that’s the case then they’re only playing into her tricks but the shard might provide a clue and that they should take it with them. He thinks to himself that if the shard is really a fragment of White Lily Cookie’s memories it’s all the more reason to take it.
When the group find the second shard of the Light of Freedom, Pure Vanilla Cookie thinks to himself that the others are right to suspect that the shards might be part of Dark Enchantress Cookie’s plans, yet he’s happy to find a trace of White Lily Cookie, as small as it may be. He remembers how she would often wander off without a word, and every time, he wanted to ask her where she’s going this time and what is she searching for. He wonders if the shards are the key to revealing White Lily Cookie’s secrets. He is dead-set on finding the rest of them.
When the group finds the lifeless White Lily Cookie under the Silver Tree, Pure Vanilla Cookie is surprised to see her. He hears the Light of Freedom call out to him again, telling him that White Lily Cookie needs his help and that she must wake up so she can hear its voice once more. Pure Vanilla Cookie is startled and thinks to himself that the Light of Freedom brought him all the way here to find White Lily Cookie. GingerBrave asks him if the lifeless White Lily Cookie is another one of Dark Enchantress Cookie’s traps, and he explains that even if Dark Enchantress Cookie defeats all four Ancients and takes their Soul Jams, the one thing she can never have is the Light of Freedom, for it could only shine for White Lily Cookie yet she willingly chose to become Dark Enchantress Cookie. The shards of the Light of Freedom and the lifeless White Lily Cookie are the remains of White Lily Cookie that Dark Enchantress Cookie could never steal. But he wonders what keeps these remains from disappearing and what could have happened to White Lily Cookie.
After finding the fourth shard of the Light of Freedom in the library, GingerBrave asks the silent Pure Vanilla Cookie what has him lost in thought. He replies that he’s thinking about White Lily Cookie’s memory that they found in the library and how it was so similar to how he remembers White Lily Cookie as a student. He explains that back when he studied at the Blueberry Magic Academy with her, they used to dream about building a better world for the Cookies and how they would spend days and nights talking about their research but as they talked, he couldn’t help but sense that somewhere along their journey, their paths have diverged. And now that he’s seen a glimpse of her memories, he realizes that even years later, White Lily Cookie’s intentions haven’t changed. He adds that White Lily Cookie’s goal wasn’t different after all and that she simply envisioned a bigger picture.
After finding the fifth shard of the Light of Freedom, Strawberry Cookie asks Pure Vanilla Cookie if he’s okay, and he explains that all along, he didn’t really know anything about White Lily Cookie at all—her feelings and goals and what she risked to do what she did.
At the place under the Silver Tree where White Lily Cookie slumbers, Pure Vanilla Cookie asks Elder Faerie Cookie what they must do to wake her up. Elder Faerie explains that to revive her, Soul and Life are required—the shards of the Light of Freedom and Life Powder. Pure Vanilla Cookie offers up his Life Powder, not hesitating to sacrifice himself for White Lily Cookie. In response to the others’ worried protests, he reassures that it won’t crumble him but only make him slightly weaker, and explains that he’s had questions that bothered him for a long time—why did White Lily Cookie have to become Dark Enchantress Cookie, and why was there nothing he could do to help. But, he knows now that what White Lily Cookie needed was a friend who understood her, and adds that he shouldn’t have let her take a heavy burden on her own, but now he has the chance to meet her again and that this time he won’t let her down. He pleads to Elder Faerie to use his Life Powder to awaken White Lily Cookie, but Elder Faerie Cookie refuses, saying that there are still things left for him to do and that White Lily Cookie needs him. Elder Faerie Cookie instead uses his Life Powder to awaken White Lily Cookie.
After White Lily Cookie awakens, she asks Pure Vanilla Cookie if he’s also happy that she’s back even if she’s Dark Enchantress Cookie and might become her again. Pure Vanilla Cookie replies that he doesn’t believe it and that the only reason she was able to come back was because she never lost the Light of Freedom and because she’s not Dark Enchantress Cookie.
When the rift in the Silver Tree starts to grow, White Lily Cookie tells Pure Vanilla Cookie that she can’t forgive herself for becoming Dark Enchantress Cookie and because of that, she must help him fight her, which she believes is the only way she can atone for her crimes. She explains that she made a promise to Elder Faerie Cookie and herself that she would never lose her love for Cookiekind, and asks Pure Vanilla Cookie if he trusts that her heart remains the same even after witnessing the truth at the Witches' Banquet. Pure Vanilla Cookie says that he’s struggling to find the words to describe how happy he is and now that he understands what her heart had been yearning for and that he’s been granted a second chance to protect her, he accepts her proposal to fight together.

The little tricksters only giggle at Pure Vanilla Cookie's restlessness. Was his reverie caused by a love potion sprinkled on him in his sleep? Yet the faerie king only smiles as though he did not hear the winged folk's question. When the faeries fall asleep at last, Pure Vanilla Cookie steps out of his chambers. So quietly, not even a drop of morning dew falls off a leaf. Then, he walks towards the forest depths, step by step, for hours until he reaches the Moonflower Shrine. Its columns hugged by vines; the shrine stands still. In its heart, a majestic lily bud rests in the pale moonlight. Smitten, Pure Vanilla Cookie recalls his wish. Now, he must approach the flower bud, untouched by its sleeping spell. All is silent. Stillness now reigns over the grove. He takes a step. He takes another step. Something calls his name, the wind...? Yet another step. The enchanted lily scent is everywhere, but Pure Vanilla Cookie must persist through its blissful haze. A few more steps. There he stands, within the pillar of moonlight, having overcome the flower's spell. Then, the flower blooms, and from within emerges the Queen. His Queen, White Lily Cookie, her smile benevolent yet tinged with sorrow.

Pure Vanilla Cookie feels as if his soul has shrunk and withered. Humbly, he kneels before the Queen.

Pure Vanilla Cookie takes White Lily Cookie's hand. She must be deceiving him, for such a love is bound to last forever. It cannot vanish with the rays of morning light. And yet they dance and dance, happy and forgetful of the flow of time as if the sun was never to come up. The time was up, and in tears, Queen Moonflower Faerie speaks again.

In Pure Vanilla Cookie's dream, he is his younger, academy student self and he finds a younger, academy student White Lily Cookie alone in their secret garden. He asks her why she didn't show up to class and says that he was worried about her. White Lily Cookie replies that she wouldn’t learn anything new and that their experiments are more complex and exciting. Pure Vanilla Cookie asks her what she was doing and she replied that she was looking into ways to make Cookies less crumbly. He says that he’s sure some Cookies will find her research very helpful and that he’s glad to do things for the good of all Cookies with her. She then tells him to remember what he just said and to never forget that only together can they help all those weak and suffering. Pure Vanilla Cookie accepts but says that he's worried about her and asks her what's with her grim expression. White Lily Cookie explains that he abandoned her because she found out the truth first and asks him why, wondering if it's because he hated what she had become or because he hated her for finding out the truth before him. Pure Vanilla Cookie pleads with her not to say that and says that he doesn't know what happened but he will always love her no matter what she becomes. She asks him if that's a promise and if he'll still love her even if she does meet the Witches and becomes reborn full of hatred and lead an army of monsters and dominate the world. Pure Vanilla Cookie asks her why she would do that, saying that he doesn't understand, but then says that he promises her and that, after all, their dream is one and it will be forever. White Lily Cookie tells him to not let her down again and not abandon her, otherwise she won't forgive him. Pure Vanilla Cookie then wakes up from his dream, saying to himself that it never fails to horrify him, before asking himself if he still loves White Lily Cookie.
