QiuCheng is the slash ship between Qiu and He Cheng from the 19 Days fandom.

Canon[]

He Cheng and Qiu are only side characters in the 19 Days series, but they are two of the most notable side characters; along with Buzz Cut, She Li, and Xiao Hui, etc. You can't really avoid their interactions, as they've even had whole chapters dedicated to them at this point. The gist of their relationship is that Qiu is a bit of an unserious guy with his Boss, who condemns his behaviour weakly.

We don't see these two until quite late into the story, but when we do is when they go and try to retrieve Jian Yi from his apartment via orders from the bigger boss. Three men in black show up, and two of which are He Cheng and Qiu. They're not far too involved for a while after this sighting, especially not Qiu, but we do see them again.

The next time we see them is when Qiu has made better terms with the main cast of the series after saving Jian. In an empty car park, Qiu smokes to the side and complains about he hates his current assignment, as he feels like a maid. He Cheng replies that because of the situation he should behave, and it suits him. Qiu tells him he's not in the mood to joke around.

We also see He Cheng after some thoughts about his relationship with his brother, He Tian, go down to a bar. He addresses Qiu upon entering, and tells him he isn't looking for him after Qiu makes a wrong assumption. Qiu watches Cheng walk off petting the dog that used to be He Tian's. Supposedly, they share custody of the dog.

In a special, we see the main four boys at a party at He Cheng's place and we get another interaction between the men. Cheng tells Qiu to drink a strong drink, and Qiu explains he isn't used to good booze. But upon Cheng telling him he told him to do it, Qiu chugs it down and a mere panel later, Qiu is sleeping on the couch with a pillow over his face while Cheng stands closer to the reader. The main group walk past the interaction, and He Tian tries not to laugh.

A more famous scene of this pairing is after Jian is hurt by the hands of She Li. He Cheng is doing his dialy workout, daily routine, and then goes to shower. Qiu walks right into the shower room and casually greets He Cheng who, in his bare glory, turns around with a side eye glare, telling him that Qiu keeps coming and going as he pleases, which is very rude he should know; implying their relationship is more casual than boss and worker. Despite having for sure seen Cheng in the shower, Qiu closes his eyes after he's called out and says he saw nothing. Qiu then continues to say He Tian is in trouble, encouraging He Cheng to check on He Tian by insisting he isn't in good condition.

After getting a better grasp on the situation with He Tian, Cheng sends Qiu to back up Tian and Mo in their fight with She Li.

Between all of these interactions, and even in recent chapters, it's shown that Qiu is Cheng's go-to man. If any one of the main four need to travel, he appears in a vehicle. If there's any other trouble, Qiu sorts it. They're also sometimes seen as just background characters, saying nothing, but they seem to have good humour together and are generally close. There is also an official art that kind of summarises the two, as Cheng looks on intensely towards Qiu scuba diving naked in a large shark tank ahead of the man.

And unlike any of the other henchmen that work under Cheng, Qiu is so far the only one to have a crystal clear design and a role in the plot. Needless to say, in the short amount of interactions they have had, Old Xian has definitely purposefully built their relationship in a comedic manner for all viewers to enjoy, while also showing how truly loyal Qiu is to his boss.

Fanon[]

Despite their lack of content, lots of people find this ship entertaining and most fan fictions include them as a side ship. Their dynamic, even though not seen too much, is established enough for people to also find them similar to TianShan, the pairing between He Tian and Mo Guan Shan. In fanon, they could also be seen as the people who look after He Tian... since they have. Some people take these two as a romantic ship, but some see them as a good pair of teammates in their line of work. In either case, most people never really gain strong enough negative thoughts about them to dislike them or their pairing.
