Quodo is the slash ship between Odo and Quark from the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fandom.
Canon[]
Season 1[]
A MAN ALONE
Odo sits at Quark's bar commenting on the influx of customers after the discovery of the wormhole with Quark when the two hear O'Brien and Keiko arguing from a table on a higher level. Quark says that he's heard around that the couple are having issues, and Odo confesses that he's never understood the humanoid idea of dating. Quark is shocked and asks for confirmation that Odo has never "coupled." Odo confirms this and tells Quark that it's because there's too much need for compromise to be worth it, implying with his examples that the compromises also never work in one's favor. They continue to watch O'Brien and Keiko and Odo asks what they're arguing about. Quark says that Keiko doesn't like the station. They then see Sisko and Jadzia leave one of the holosuites and Quark makes a hiss of attraction towards Jadzia. Odo tells him not to even think about it because that pairing would be impossible. Odo says that he thinks that Sisko and Jadzia may be romantically connected anyway, but Quark dispels this by explaining that Sisko and Jadzia are just old friends, residual from when the Dax symbiont was with Kurzon, but Odo tells him that things can change as his attention is drawn to a specific customer playing Dabo.
Odo's security office is vandalized after he is suspected of killing a known criminal on the station. Quark comes in and tells him that he would be able to find out who vandalized the office if Odo wanted. Odo tells him to report that information to Starfleet because he will no longer be in charge of security while he is a suspect. Quark says that's good news for him and Odo tells him to take advantage of the fact that Odo will be gone. Quark says he will. Odo tells Quark that he will get sloppy without Odo being there to keep him in check, but Quark disagrees because Odo only taught him to be a better criminal. Odo then turns and asks Quark if there's a need for a shapeshifter in his criminal workings, which Quark takes as a joke. Odo plays along that he was only joking. Quark tells Odo that he had been asking around about the man that was murdered and found some pertinent information about him that he hands to Odo before leaving.
THE PASSENGER
Odo sits at the bar as Quark hands Jadzia her Raktajino and watches Quark try to flirt with her. She only thanks him and walks away and Quark claims that she is "infatuated" with him. Odo laughs and calls him delusional, and Quark argues that sometimes delusions are fine, comparing them to his holosuites. Quark hypothesizes that Jadzia might be lonely, and Odo reminds him that she has several lifetimes of friends and that she doesn't need Quark to keep her company. He also says that every man on the station would want to buy her a Raktajino, and Quark says that he's the only one with the replicator for it. Odo says that Jadzia seems to like spending time alone, which he can relate to. Quark then accuses Odo of wanting everyone to be as miserable as he is, and says that it may be hard for Odo to understand that some people just want a friendly voice or touch. Odo asks why Quark even bothers, and Quark defends himself by saying that it's good to want. Odo asks if that includes things one cannot have, and Quark says that the rule applies especially for those cases. Odo uses that to lead into a question about a deuridium shipment that is arriving to the station, and Quark pretends that he doesn't know what he's talking about as he leaves to walk to Jadzia's table.
Kobliad woman Kajada is trying to get information on the deuridium shipment arriving to the station because her people need the ore to sustain their population. Odo tells her that he is unable to give her the information, and she asks him if Quark would know anything. Odo says that he always keeps an eye on Quark and that he knows nothing about the shipment. She leaves his office to go to Quark's bar, and she somehow ends up dangling off the balcony before falling to the ground level and into a coma. In the infirmary, Quark and Odo stand close together as Quark says that he didn't see anyone else on the balcony that could have pushed Kajada off, and he asks why she would have been there in the first place, considering the bar was closed for the night. Odo tells him that she suspected Quark knew something about the deuridium shipment. Quark then tries to leave to avoid further questioning, but Odo stops him and says that he wants to look at the bar before Quark has a chance to clean up any potential evidence. The two leave together for the bar.
VORTEX
As Odo is checking on Quark's, Quark asks if he's going to have his usual, and Odo says that he will, which is nothing. Quark says that if all his customers were like Odo, his family would be begging for scraps on the promenade. Odo doesn't believe that, since Quark will make a deal with any Miradorn Raider for him to make a deal with. Quark corrects him and calls it a ship, but Odo insists that it's a raider. Quark says he doesn't know them, which confuses Odo, given that Quark usually invites newcomers for a free drink. Quark says that Miradorn's are quarrelsome and decided to skip the usual amenities instead. Odo notes that the new patron from the Gamma Quadrant looks away whenever they talk. Quark says that the man is harmless, and Odo asks how he knows him so well. Quark says that people come into talk, but Odo notes that he didn't talk to Sisko very much. Quark doesn't blame him and thinks the federation could learn about hospitality. Odo asks what the man would have to be afraid of, but is distracted by the two Miradorn nodding to Quark as they walk in. Quark feigns ignorance and thinks that Odo is too paranoid. He tells him to do something or leave before storming off to meet the Miradorn's.
As they're being held in Odo's office, Quark gets up in his face and says that he did warn him about Miradorn's and asks if he and Rom are free to go. Sisko asks if he has enough evidence to hold them, and Quark points out that he was also concerned about the object he was purchasing being stolen. Odo says that it's curious but it's true, and Quark starts to leave. Odo stops him though, and points out that Croden had a ferengi phaser. Rom accuses Odo of accusing Quark of theivery, and Quark points out that he'd be dead if a "theory" like that got to the Miradorn. So he suggests that Odo not spread the idea anywhere, before grabbing Rom and leaving.
Season 2[]
THE HOMECOMING
At Quark's bar, Odo calls for Quark. Quark asks what he wants, given that he's busy. Odo asks if he remembers the ship smuggling isolinear rods to Bajor they were discussing the other day. Quark shushes him and says he remembers. Odo tells him he investigated and found that Quark was telling the truth. He was able to arrest the officers and Quark tells him congratulations, before trying to head upstairs. Odo stops him again and says he's not done. Quark decides there's no pleasing him, and he'll always treat him like an enemy. Odo says that Quark is an enemy, but Quark asks him to explain why he helped him then. Odo can't, and Quark explains that they've been at each other for so long that it's time to call a truce. Odo assumes he's joking, but Quark says that they're going to be friends. Odo assumes that Quark is up to something, but Quark just decides that it's going to take time to get Odo to trust him. Odo denies this and leaves.
NECESSARY EVIL
In a flashback to Odo's memory of the station under Cardassian rule, Odo walks into Quark's bar to check Kira's alibi and they formally meet for the first time. Quark introduces himself and offers Odo a drink, but he explains he doesn't drink. Odo asks if he may ask Quark about details about the recent murder and Quark recognizes him as "the shapeshifter" that is working for Gul Dukat on the case. Quark confirms Kira's alibi and implies that they had sex, but Odo realizes that he is lying and confronts him about it. Dukat steps in and asks Odo for details, which he refuses to give until he is sure he solved the case. After watching Odo stand up to Dukat, Quark tells Odo that he thinks the two should reintroduce themselves, and that Quark can offer him anything he wants, including "companionship." Odo looks confused at the proposition and Dukat and Quark laugh about it.
In a following scene, Odo walks over to Dax and Sisko in the bar, where Sisko refers to Quark as Odo's "best friend."
Season 4[]
CROSSFIRE
Quark interrupts Kira and Odo's weekly security meeting to make a noise complaint against Odo because his room is above Quark's. The two bicker before Odo tells Quark to come back later when the meeting is over. Quark obliges and walks out, after which Kira mentions the "luck" that Odo's room happens to be above Quark's, to which Odo says that "luck had nothing to do with it," implying that he specifically chose to be above Quark.
While preparing food and security in a boardroom for an upcoming meeting, Odo finds a small eavesdropping device hidden in a bowl of fruit and confronts Quark about it. Quark says it's his and lies about why it's in the food, before Odo drops it in the punch bowl. Quark mentions that Odo is in a bad mood and asks him what's wrong, saying Odo "doesn't have to pretend" with him. Quark then accurately identifies that Odo is in love with Kira and is angry that she is instead falling in love with Shakaar. He tries to offer support but Odo storms out.
Odo misses out on apprehending the person responsible for trying to assassinate Shakaar because he is distracted by his feelings for Kira, and takes out his anger on everything in his room because of it. Hearing the noise, Quark comes up to check on him. Odo doesn't answer when he's at the door, so Quark overrides the door controls to get inside to see a stoic Odo and a destroyed room. He reprimands him until he realizes that Odo is not okay, and he commends him for the passion required for such a display. Quark explains that Odo's anger about Kira rejecting him isn't good for either of them because Quark runs a betting pool every time there's a high-profile case on the station to see how quickly Odo will catch the perpetrator, and he'll lose money if Odo isn't able to keep up. Quark gives Odo sincere advice about the situation, telling him to either tell Kira how he feels or forget about his feelings because the personal conflict is interfering with his job. Quark compliments Odo on always being sharp and intelligent, and that this issue is ruining those parts of him. Despite Quark's genuine sincerity, he insists this advice is just to benefit his business as he leaves the room. Odo lets him go by saying that, for a moment, he thought Quark was speaking to him as a friend.
At the bar, Quark updates Odo on Kira and Shakaar's whereabouts before quipping briefly again about Quark's now-damaged listening device. Quark then mentions that he stopped at Odo's quarters to complain about more noise to find that it was only a cleaning crew fixing up his quarters. He also noted that the crew was installing soundproofing in the floors, saying that he was touched at the gesture. Odo weakly insists that he would never do something like that just for Quark, but Quark thanks him again anyway and walks away. Odo watches as Kira and Shakaar walk over to the bar, and he smiles to himself as he walks away.

- After being friendzoned by Kira and losing out on solving a case, Odo trashes his room in anger and Quark comes over after to offer advice and give him reassurance.
- While getting a crew to fix his room, Odo has the crew add soundproofing to the floors to appease Quark. Quark confronts him on this and thanks him, but Odo smugly denies it.
