RachBam or BamChel is the het ship between Twenty-Fifth Bam and Rachel from the Tower of God fandom.
Canon[]
Season 1 (Anime)[]
It is not shown how Rachel knew Bam was in the cave, but she did, and she found him while he was trying to break out of it. She was the first person Bam had ever met, and she taught him how to read and speak. Since Bam has been in that cave for as long as he could remember with no other human interaction, Rachel was the first person to look after and care for him, resulting in him seeing her as his "light". While in the cave, Rachel taught Bam all sorts of things, one of those things being the sky and the stars. Rachel filled an entire cave wall with drawings of stars and tells Bam that she wished to see the real stars some day.
At the beginning of Episode 1, Rachel is running from Bam who catches up to her and pulls her onto the ground. They're both panting from the chase and after a while, Rachel gently touches her hand to Bam's face and tells him that she's leaving to climb the Tower. Bam pleads for her not to go but she leaves anyway. After Rachel enters the Tower, Bam is left alone in the darkness, as he watches the final petal of light disappear in front of him, he cries.
In a desperate attempt to find his "light" again, Bam follows Rachel into the Tower where his care and desire to be with Rachel again causes him to overcome the fear of death and pass the First Floor of the Tower. When Bam meets Khun on the Second Floor of the testing area, he tells the blue-haired boy that the reason he was climbing the Tower was to find Rachel, which surprises Khun. When Khun asked Bam if Rachel was his girlfriend, Bam responded that he "belonged to her," causing Khun to come to the conclusion that Rachel was Bam's master.
After passing the first test of the second floor, Bam meets Lero-Ro, a Ranker. The two strike a bet and whoever won got to ask the other whatever question he wanted. The two technically tie, but Lero-Ro lets Bam ask him a question anyway and Bam asks him if he had ever seen Rachel. Bam is visibly disappointed when the Ranker says that he hasn't.
Rachel reappears in the series during the Crown Game, she and her bodyguard Ghost do not attack Bam and instead stand in front of the throne and "protect him." However, Hwa Ryun attacks Rachel during the Game and manages to hit her forehead before Bam leaps forward and takes the second blow for her.
After the Crown Game and Bam is hospitalized for three days to recover from his injuries, Rachel visits him while he is still unconscious and asks Khun to keep her identity a secret.

Trivia[]
- According to SIU, both Rachel and Baam are deeply connected. To Rachel, Baam was the night and her darkness and to Baam, Rachel was his star and his light. It's unknown if Baam's new name (Viole), which also implies "star" in Korean has any foreshadowing or implications for their future relationship.

This ship used to be popular (in the anime side), but when the episode 12 was released, fans realized why the manhwa shippers were hating on Rachel and this ship. Now, this is the most criticize ship from the Tower of God fandom, adding Rachel as one of the most hated characters of the series.
This ship has become extremely controversial within the fandom due to Rachel's canonical poor treatment of Bam. However, there are some people who have hope that Rachel will change for the better. The number of actual BamChel shippers is quite low, as Rachel is perhaps the most hated character in the ToG fandom currently.
It is the second most written Tower of God relationship on AO3 after KhunBam and the most written het ship in the fandom.
