RadioApple is the slash ship between Alastor and Lucifer Morningstar from the Hazbin Hotel fandom.

Dad Beat Dad[]
Charlie invites Lucifer to the hotel to show her idea of redemption. When Lucifer arrives, he hugs Charlie tightly, while Alastor is looking from aside, in a somehow serious way as the camera pans up to show his eye twitching noticeably. As the father-daughter duo separates, Alastor blinks while staring at Lucifer in the same stern way. Right after Lucifer expresses his distaste seeing the hotel around and looking at the weird design of the bar, Alastor quickly appears behind and expresses the idea of having something “visually different”. Lucifer seems indifferent and asks who he is, so Alastor teleports behind him, presenting himself as he shakes Lucifer's cane aggressively as a makeshift handshake. Lucifer readjusts his hat from the forceful shake, frowning. Alastor cleans his hand on his coat and sarcastically makes fun of Lucifer's height.
To this insult, Lucifer asks Alastor if he’s the bellhop, and Alastor tells him he’s the hotel manager. When Lucifer states he hasn't heard of Alastor, making a joke about the hotel's name, Alastor grows tense; they engage in a verbal spat of mockery, with Alastor eventually resorting to insult Lucifer directly before Charlie has to defuse the situation and push them away. After regaining his composure, Lucifer deadpans when Charlie mentions how much Alastor has done for the hotel.
Throughout these interactions, purposefully, Alastor successfully gets under Lucifer’s skin by expressing his close bond with Charlie. He describes how he's happy to fulfill her bizarre requests, grabbing her shoulder fondly which makes Lucifer seethe. Alastor continues raving about his pride in Lucifer, so he angrily asks for an introduction to Charlie's "other" friends. Lucifer only seems relieved after Charlie introduces Vaggie to him, with the attention diverted from Alastor.
After the intense exchange, a chandelier drops in front of Lucifer and Alastor and spirals the hotel into a wreck, prompting Lucifer to break into the song "Hell's Greatest Dad." He aims to assert himself as a superior father figure to Charlie. Lucifer disses Alastor many times and calls him the busboy contrast to himself, the chef, and tries to convince Charlie that she doesn't need Alastor anymore. At his part, Alastor shoves Lucifer out of the way and joins in, sarcastically claiming that he has always been there for Charlie, particularly when she needed help fixing the hotel. Alastor sings dramatically that Charlie could almost call him dad, while he turns his head back and shares eye contact with Lucifer — this serves to agitate him as he increases his musical aggression.
As Alastor plays the piano, Lucifer plays the accordion aggressively to throw him off, while Alastor tries to remind Charlie that chosen family is superior, sarcastically stating a birth parent, that being Lucifer, can be a dud. Just as the confrontation seems to escalate where the two butt heads and continually insult and shove each other around, Mimzy unexpectedly arrives at the hotel and interrupts the musical number. The situation is now defused, but Alastor narrows his eyes and seems very agitated while seeing Mimzy mention and fawn over Lucifer. Seizing the opportunity to ease the tension, Lucifer suggests that Charlie give him a tour, a proposal to which Alastor also attaches himself by reminding that he and Charlie were the ones who initiated the hotel together. They take turns dragging Charlie away from each other. Later during the tour, Alastor stares at Lucifer unkindly, until a confrontation from Husk separates them.
Sometime later, a horde of loan shark mafia attacks the hotel, demanding for Mimzy. Alastor goes outside to defend the hotel, while Lucifer from afar starts mocking him and all the sinners to show Charlie they can’t be redeemed. Charlie, saddened by this comment, defends Alastor saying that at least he’s doing something for the hotel and that his actions are for her, and even questions how he can trust on her more than her own dad.
After Lucifer and Charlie share a song and both express their feelings, Alastor is seen softly staring from afar, finally stopping his fight with Lucifer.
The Show Must Go On[]
After the final battle with the angels, the Hazbin Hotel gets completely destroyed. Lucifer and the other staff members start rebuilding the hotel while Alastor was still missing. As they were singing finishing the hotel, Alastor appears between them, and everyone hugs him, except Lucifer and Husk. Lucifer says “oh this guy...” in a disgusted way, while Alastor stares at him, smiling in a mocking way.

RadioApple is a relatively popular ship within the fandom for both characters. It is often rivaled by ships like RadioDust or Charlastor. After “Dad Beat Dad,” many fans noted how Lucifer seemed jealous of Alastor’s relationship with Charlie which started their feud against each other. Fans enjoyed their tense and unfriendly dynamic which gave birth to RadioApple’s popularity, as fans found their arguments and fights over Charlie very endearing, and that has given them the title of being Charlie’s dads.
Shippers and non-shippers alike have expressed how pleasantly surprised they were by Alastor and Lucifer's unexpected dynamic, shocked at how Alastor was immediately on bad terms with Lucifer. Fans speculate that Alastor may be upset at Lucifer being stronger. Fans adored how enjoyable Alastor's petty attempts to annoy Lucifer were. "Hell's Greatest Dad" is a highly popular song for this reason, being Alastor and Lucifer's continual attempts to get back at each other. Fans were in fact disappointed by Mimzy's interruption, wanting a continuation of RadioApple's argumentative duet.
However, fans still have mixed opinions over the ship, as many of the audience is still speculating truly why Alastor dislikes Lucifer and the reasoning behind his purposeful attempts to spite him. On AO3, RadioApple has 1000+ written romantic works.

- The ship is often portrayed with the emojis “🐥🦌”, “📻🍎” or “🎻🎹”.
- Lucifer is shown to be one of the only ones capable of getting Alastor to swear, the others being Vox, Susan and Adam.
- Unlike the others, Alastor holds no huge hatred for Lucifer.
- Vivziepop explains that in "Dad Beat Dad" Alastor wanted to get under Lucifer's skin and bother him and used his want of a relationship with his daughter to do so.[1]
- Vivziepop and Dave Capdevielle stated that there is mutual respect going on between them, and Alastor is in no way scared of Lucifer.[2]
- On September 5 of 2024, Vivziepop posted a Youtube community post prommoting an event where Amir Talai and Jeremy Jordan were going to sign autographs for fans, and the post started saying "RADIOAPPLE DEVOTEES, GET YOUR ORDERS IN! 📻🍎". The post was later deleted and the next day it was republish but instead saying "LUCIFER AND ALASTOR FANS GET YOUR ORDERS IN! 🦌🍎".
