Raedius is the poly ship between Raine Whispers, Eda Clawthorne and Darius Deamonne from The Owl House fandom.

Canon[]

"Eda's Requiem" starts with Eda watching a news report about Raine being declared the Coven head of the Bard Coven, with Darius urging them to just say something in their acceptance speech. When Raine runs off-stage, Darius tells the person recording to just cut the feed, with Eda at home snarking about Raine becoming a Coven head with stage fright. Later, it turns out that Raine is secretly rebelling against Emperor Belos's rule, with Eda saving them and their bards from the Coven guards. When Eda wants to join them, Raine doesn't let her, but Eda addresses them by their full name as an old friend. Raine is eventually convinced to let Eda join, with Eda integrating herself into the group with ease, but when they hear about another raid, Raine notices that something isn't right and soon enough the other three bards are encased in abomination goop. Raine pushes Eda into hiding, recognizing the pursuers as fellow Head Witches, Darius and Eberwolf. When Eda asks what that means, Raine explains that they fell for their trap. Darius notices that a few of the reported rebels are missing, after imprisoning the three they have captured, he calls out for the rebels telling them that he knows they're there. When Eberwolf finds footprints going deeper into the forest, Darius follows reluctantly, but it turns out that Eda had enchanted her boots to walk independently, having turned herself and Raine invisible. When they turn visible again, Raine explains that Belos needs every Head Witch to cast a massive spell, planning to take out Darius and Eberwolf to further delay his plan. Raine tells Eda that her curse might be what they need to stop Belos, playing magic music together would cause her curse to spread and wither everything in its path, including themselves. Darius meanwhile figured out that he had been tricked and had only been angered more by Eda's boots kicking dirt onto his cloak, hearing the music, he is tracking them down without realizing that he's walking right into their trap. When Raine sees that the two are ensnared in the rot spread thanks to the curse, they realize that the curse will kill themself and Eda as well, Eda accepts their fate if it means stopping the Emperor. However, Raine sees a photo of Eda with Luz and King and realizes that Eda can't sacrifice herself if it means leaving two missing children without anyone to look after them, Raine willingly stalls Darius to allow Eda to escape. Eda reluctantly does so as Raine reveals themself to Darius and Eberwolf and allows them to capture them.

Later, in "Them's the Breaks, Kid", it is revealed that Darius was in the same year as Eda and Raine in Hexside, though the two had no reason to befriend him as they were content with only having eachother for company. Later in the present day, it is revealed that Raine's brainwashing at the hands of Terra Snapdragon and Darius' loyalty to Belos were both faked, Raine and Darius are actually working together to stop Belos. Darius sends Raine a note suggesting that they should use Eda's curse against Belos' Draining Spell, but Raine is conflicted about putting Eda in danger again.

In "O Titan, Where Art Thou", Raine and Darius put their plan into motion by having Raine's bards pose as Coven guards to capture Luz and Eda. Luz is thrilled to meet Raine, but says that Eda told her they got captured. Raine corrects Luz by revealing that Darius had only been pretending to act loyal towards Belos, justifying his acting by saying that Raine is a "horrible actor", despite managing to fool Eda into thinking that they had really been brainwashed. Eda wonders why Raine didn't tell her anything about it either, but Raine insists that they needed to protect Eda so she can make things right for Luz and King. Raine then formally introduces their "captives" to the "CATTs" (Covens Against The Throne), much to Darius' chagrin since he did not agree to that name.

"Clouds on the Horizon" starts with Darius calling the rebels to a meeting, with him and Raine explaining their plan to them in detail. The Draining Spell can only be activated when all nine Covens are represented, Darius says that Belos had made sure that all of them can be replaced at any time, but Darius suggests that Belos hadn't thought of someone corrupting the spell. Eda remembers how her curse affected Darius and Eberwolf in the past, Darius plans to cause a distraction so the rebels could place Eda up with the Coven Heads and use the curse to stop the spell. Raine suggests having Eda swap places with a Coven head, noting that it means that Eda would have to be branded with a sigil, restraining her wild magic. Eda volunteers, willing to take the risk if it means defeating Belos.

In "King's Tide", it seems that Raine and Darius' plan to have Eda corrupt the curse is working flawlessly. However, Terra Snapdragon gets suspicious of "Raine" and has Adrian Graye use his illusion magic to force Eda to drop the disguise. Darius and Eberwolf then start to fight the Coven Heads, but they couldn't prevent Eda being dragged away with Raine being forced into their place. Despite Eda's protests, Raine, Darius and Eberwolf are forcefully locked into the spell alongside the other Head Witches. However, as the Draining Spell starts draining their life force, the other Head Witches regret their actions, Eda is not only being drained by the spell but the curse also starts to dissolve her. With the last of their strength, Raine detaches the arm they branded with the sigil, watching it completely dissolve. Though Eda is saved, she's forced to watch everyone she ever knew be drained, until the Collector arrives and stops the Draining Spell to play a "game" with the entirety of the Boiling Isles.

Fanon[]

The majority of the fandom was supporting of Raeda from the very start, but Dariraine also gained some followers in late Season 2. Since all three end the series on friendly terms with each other, many argue that it would make sense for them to date each other in a polycule.
