Season 2[]
THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND CASEY JONES
Raphael is out at night, trying to cool off when he sees Casey fighting some Purple Dragons. He thinks that he's out of control and decides to step in. He lightly attacks Casey, before sneaking back into the shadows. Casey pulls out a bat and demands to know whose there, and Raph steps out into the light. Casey is surprised to see another mutant and Raph asks if he has a problem with that. Casey asks if he's meant to be some kinds of turtle ninja and laughs. The Purple Dragons start to run off, and Raph tells Casey to let him handle it. Raph then says anger is a dangerous ally and pushes Casey, telling him to cool off for a while. Casey decides he's done with Raph and the two start to fight.
Raph ends up knocking Casey into the trash, but he quickly bounces back. He's angry that Raph caused the Dragons to get away, and decides that he'll pay. They fight some more, and Casey can't help but compliment Raph's throwing stars. Raph decides to show him his sai, and they continue fighting. Casey knocks Raph to the ground and asks if Turtles are supposed to be endangered. Raph says only the one's who can't fight and proceeds to kick Casey in the face. They take their fight to the street where Raph gets the upper hand, and seems to be about to stab Casey, till he stops himself. He questions what he's doing and thinks that he might have anger issues, when Casey tazes him. Raph gets away, and Casey hops on the back of a cab, yelling that Raph hasn't seen the last of him. Raph yells at him that he better run, but runs low on insults.
Casey it out at night drawing, still in pain from his last fight with Raph, when he sees him over on a rooftop. He follows him and watches him go down a manhole cover, quietly slipping behind him. He finds the layer, and is surprised to see that there's four turtles. He ends up accidentally getting their attention and Raph can't believe it's him again. Mikey and Donnie restrain Casey, Mikey asking if Raph knows him. April then comes out of talking with Splinter and intervenes, introducing Casey to all the turtles.
The foot robots then enter the lair, and Leo says that Raph led them there. Raph immediately blames Casey, much to Casey's annoyance. He says they followed Raph as well, and they argue some more till one of the robots starts to leave with their location. Casey says he's on it, but Raph pushes him out of the way and says he doesn't need his help. They fight on the way till they run into a group of Foot robots. Raph says that if they get their hideout back to Karai, Casey gets to answer to Splinter. Casey then tags the robot with some spray paint and Raph tells him to tag it with a real grenade next time.
As they chase after the robot, a train suddenly starts to make it's way through the subway. Casey throws himself and Raph to the side, the train narrowly missing them. He asks if Raph is okay, and Raph thanks him for the save. He then sees the robot climb on top of the Subway car and the two are able to get on top as well. They start to fight when Casey is thrown off the side, but Raph is able to stop him from falling to the ground. Casey gets back on the train and thanks Raph, and Raph says that they're now even.
They continue their fight till the robot is about to get to the street, and Raph throws Casey at it. Casey is able to electrocute it and Raph throws his Sai, destroying it. Casey says that that was too close and Raph says that he's a pretty good fighter. Casey says that Raph isn't so bad himself and the two clasp hands. Which turns into arm wrestling and eventually the two throw some missed punches' at each other.
The two return to the lair, excitedly going over everything they did while chasing down the bots. Casey comments that there's not bots left for the two of them while casually leaning against Raph, and Mikey comments how weird it is that they seem like best friends now. Splinter comments that Raph has found a new ally, and Raph says that Casey's cool. Splinter thanks Casey for the help, and Casey says it was not problem. He and Raph then decide to go out and fight some crime, while Donnie fears that they basically now have two Raphael's.

Rasey is a common ship among most versions of the TMNT fandom, although not too popular. This is due to Casey being Raph's best friend in almost every iteration of the turtles, and thus some shippers take to a romantic version of their relationship. This ship does not rely on the opposite's attract trope, as Casey and Raph actually have a lot in common. Both being more prone to anger and quick to use violence to solve their problems. The introduction of Casey in most series is also when Raph's anger issues are first highlighted. Them bonding over their shared anger develops their relationship, and is often where their relationship starts.
On AO3, Rasey is the tenth most written ship for Raph and the fourth most written for Casey. There are currently 440+ written works. As well as 360+ written gen works.
