Rauronia is a het ship between Rauru and Sonia from The Legend of Zelda fandom.

In the distant past, Rauru is a Zonai first met a Hylian priestess named Sonia after he gave up immortality as a god and fell in love with her. They would eventually marry, and they would establish the kingdom of Hyrule with the two of them as their king and queen. They have been in direct conflict with Ganondorf and the Gerudo Tribe, and Rauru wanted to make peace with him, even when he makes it clear that he doesn't want to.
They meet with Princess Zelda, who traveled back in time after an incident involving an evil mummy and saw that she isn't from their era due to her modern-day clothing and the Purah Pad she owned. They take her in anyway and Princess Zelda longs to get back to the present age, which the two of them help her find a way, while also teaching her how to utilize her light and time powers effectively while they learn that Zelda is their descendant and give her Zonai attire similar to Sonia's. They turn to Mineru for help on how she can get back to the present age, who brings up draconification that swallowing a Secret Stone turns the person who did it into an immortal dragon, but at the cost of their mind and identity while running the risk of remaining a dragon for all of eternity.
When Ganondorf and his tribe attempted an assault against Hyrule using Moldugas, Rauru, Sonia, and Zelda use their powers to obliterate the gigantic creatures. Later, Ganondorf feigns swearing allegiance with the Royal Family which leaves Zelda discomforted about trusting him though Rauru and Sonia assure her that they are aware of his intentions and did so to keep a close eye on him. Later, at the summerhouse, Sonia uses her time powers to prevent Zelda's teacup from falling and spilling. Sonia tells her that she is worried about Link, which Rauru explains that Sonia can read minds, showing that nothing can be hidden from her as Zelda describes Link in a detailed manner which Rauru ends up longing to meet with him one day. After Sonia was double crossed and mortally injured by Ganondorf, with the help of Phantom Ganon under the guise of Zelda to steal her Secret Stone, Rauru is devastated by the revelation as Ganondorf, who transformed rubs it in his face that he shouldn't have trusted him due to his naivete. Rauru was about to fight him before Zelda reminds him that Sonia needs him. Rauru could only shield them from Ganondorf's dark blast until Zelda uses her Purah Pad to get him, Sonia, and herself to safety. Unfortunately, Sonia lost her life and was buried in the Zonai Temple, now the Forgotten Temple where he briefly mourns her and later seeks to defeat Ganondorf with the Sages at his side and while he could not defeat him, he only managed to seal him away, resulting in his own death as well. Many eons later, Rauru would later lend Link his arm in place of his original arm burned by Gloom and helps him utilize its powers.
After Ganondorf, as the Demon Dragon was destroyed forever, the ghosts of Rauru and Sonia are seen one last time helping Link restore the draconified Princess Zelda to her original form while also returning Link's arm to normal before they vanish together to the afterlife.

While Rauru and Sonia aren't shown to have a child onscreen, the fact that they had many descendants leading to Zelda's Mother and soon after Zelda herself very strongly implies that they already had a child before things took an unfortunate turn for them.

Rauronia fanfics are steadily gaining popularity since Tears of the Kingdom's release, but it does have its fans. Rauru has often shown to be a loving husband towards his wife Sonia and even makes it clear that he knows her very well and the ancient Zonai art in the depths in the beginning of the game shows them meeting and marrying. He is also aware that other than her power over time, she can also read any person's mind to demonstrate that nobody can hide anything from her. Even in the worst of their days, they don't have any sort of bitter drama between them, and Sonia is noted to take him to the castle to have a word with him when he does something disapproving, but she keeps it at a mature level to ensure that she still loves him. Rauru was very clearly devastated when he learns of Sonia's death at the hands of Ganondorf and has her buried with the Sundelion Flower in front of her grave. Their last scene together has Rauru and Sonia holding hands as they vanish. There have been several fanarts of the two of them together.
