Resident Evil 0[]
- Rebecca – “Billy… Lieutenant Coen.”
- Billy – “So, you seem to know me. Been fantasizing about me, have you?”
- Rebecca – “You were the prisoner that was being transferred for execution. You were with those soldiers outside.”
- Billy – “I see. You’re with S.T.A.R.S. Well no offence, honey, but your kind doesn’t want me around, so I’m afraid our little chat time is over.”
- Rebecca – “Wait! You’re under arrest!”
- Billy – “No thanks, doll face. I’ve already worn handcuffs.”
- Rebecca – “I could shoot, you know!”
- — First meeting.
- Billy – “It’s gonna be dangerous from here on in. Why don’t we cooperate?”
- Rebecca – “Cooperate with you?”
- Billy – “Listen, little girl. If you haven’t noticed there are some pretty freak out things on this train, and I for one want to get out of here. I don’t think we have a chance doing it alone.”
- Rebecca – “You expect me to trust you – a wanted felon? I don’t need your help. I can handle this on my own. And don’t call me ‘little girl’.”
- Billy – “Alright, Miss Do-It-Yourself. What should I call you?”
- Rebecca – “The name is Rebecca Chambers. But that’s Officer Chambers to you.”
- Billy – “Well then, Rebecca, why don’t you go and try while I wait here.”
- — Billy attempts an alliance.
- Rebecca – “What’s going on? Who’s controlling the train?”
- Billy – “Go and check out the first engine car. Listen! We’ve gotta cooperate with each other from now on. You got that?”
- Rebecca – “Well I don’t –”
- Billy – “Clue in, girl! Or maybe you like being worm-bait.”
- Rebecca – “Alright. But you just remember: I will shoot you if you try anything funny.”
- Billy – “Fine. Take these with you. [tosses ammo] If you find anything, give me a call, alright?”
- — Rebecca and Billy form an alliance.
- Billy – “Rebecca! Hang on, I’ll pull you up.”
- Rebecca – “Thank you.”
- Billy – “Don’t mention it. Just keeping my word. We promised to cooperate with each other. Remember?”

- Rebecca – “This is Rebecca. Over.”
- Enrico – “Rebecca, this is Enrico. Have you managed to locate Coen yet? Over. Rebecca, answer me.”

- Billy – “Rebecca…”
- Rebecca – “My first mission and I’ve already disobeyed orders. So much for my great law enforcement career. Oh well. Probably won’t live long enough to worry about it.”
- — Billy is stunned Rebecca doesn’t sell him out to her captain.
Resident Evil: Zero Hour (novel)[]
Billy - "I could kiss you," he said, lifting the shotgun- and at her silence, he turned to look at her, saw that she'd flushed slightly. She looked away, adjusting her belt. "I didn't mean literally," he said. "I mean it's not that you're not attractive, but you're--i'm--i meant--" (Page 159-160)
Rebecca -' If things had been different... if circumstances weren't what they are... ' (Page 258)
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles[]
Billy - "Hang on princess!"
Bradygames' Resident Evil Zero guide[]
Rebecca -' I have no idea how many miles we traveled on that nightmare train. I don't know why those passengers turned into monsters and attacked. But i'm glad the prisoner, Billy Coen, worked with me to activate the emergency breaks in time. He helped save both our lives. But we're stranded now, in some unknown building in the middle on nowhere, surrounded by festering demons. I wonder how my comrades in Bravo Team are doing. Will I ever rejoin them? And the convicted Lieutenant... how well can I rely on someone who would hurt so many people, even if he is the only other human being in this desperate situation?' (Page 78)
Rebecca -' Hours have passed, and we still can't find a way out of this facility. What was the Umbrella Corporation doing in this foreboding place? Why all the security locks, secret passages and traps? This seems less like a training facility for new employees and more like a charnel house of unspeakable horrors. My sense of dread continues to grow as we encounter more members of Umbrella's first investigation unit, turned into creepy zombies. If Umbrella's own personnel had no chance to survive, how can we live through this night? (
Lieutenant Coen has proved to be a valuable ally in almost every situation. I will never forget being trapped in that mutant monsters claws. I was sure it was all over. Yet Billy risked his own life to save me. How did he kill all those people? It must be some kind of mistake! I have to find out the truth about him, and I think we also need to find out what happened to the mysterious Dr.Marcus. Did he really disappear, or could he still be here after all these years?' (Page 91)
Rebecca -' Again, a man who is a complete mystery to me has saved my life. I have to let go of my apprehensions and trust him. Billy really is a loyal and caring person. I just wish he wasn't a fugitive from justice, because he would make an excellent S.T.A.R.S officer.
The key we found in the horrible basement of this place should enable us to return to the upper levels of the facility and search new areas to find a way out of here!' (Page 99)
Rebecca -' In spite of how hopeless it looks, I can only hope that Billy survived the attack and that I can find him somewhere on the other end of the cable car line. On my own, managing my weapons and finding some means of escape isn't going to be easy. I just have to take deep breaths and count on the inheritance left to me by that poor man who died on the cable car. Billy must be alive! He must be...' (Page 117)
Rebecca -' Still no sign of Billy, and tangling with that overgrown zombie didn't help one bit. He must be trapped in the lower levels of this facility... but just how deep underground does it go?
While it was a pleasant surprise to be reunited with the captain, I can't shake this sense of dread. Something awful is going to happen, and if I don't move fast, I might be too late to prevent it!" (127)
Bradygames' Resident Evil Archives[]
Billy - '"Are you alright?"
Rebecca - "Yes. Thank you."
Rebecca -' Why was I saying to this murderer? Why did Billy help me? My thoughts began to swim with confusion.' ' (Page 18)
Billy -' "Rebecca! Hang on, i"ll pull you up!"
I grabbed Billy's outstretched hand, and somehow managed to escape without any serious injury.
Billy - "Don't mention it, just keeping my word. We promised to cooperate with each other, Remember?
Could this man really be a murderer? Just as doubt seized my mind, Commander Enrico's voice came through on the radio." (Page 18)
Rebecca - Ravenous beasts inhabited the bowels of the factory. They were sickeningly mutated biological weapons created from animals. These B.O.W appeared humanoid, but possessed nothing but the instinct to destroy. I continued to run, searching for Billy.
Down, Down, and down further still. How far underground had I gone? After arriving at the disposal plant, I discovered Billy lying unconscious in the water storage room. He was breathing! He was alive. I was going to get out of this factory, together with Billy. (Page 19)
'However, because of his conduct during the horrible biological disaster, her suspicions about Coen began to soften. Then, when she heard the truth from Billy's own mouth, she made a complete turnaround.' (Page 113)
'From Rebecca's point of view, Billy was nothing more than a criminal deserter in handcuffs. But when he promised to join forces with her during the crisis, he risked his very life to help her. Rebecca was suspicious about Billy at first, but after seeing him play the piano and seeing his honest personality, her distrust if him gradually waned. Then, when their joint investigation of the Umbrella officer training school was finished, Billy recieved his freedom from Rebecca. To cover his tracks, she submitted a report of his death to HQ.' (Page 126)
Resident Evil 2 (N64)[]
Rebecca's Report - On July 23rd, an MP vehicle was found inside the Arklay Mountains. Corpses of MP members were found near the vehicle. According to the information from military authorities, the unidentified body was identified as former ensign Billy Koen, who was sentenced the death penalty following a court-martial on July 22nd. While Koen was on transfer via Navy MP escort, they must have experienced some sort of accident. The corpses were severely mauled, apparently torn apart by unidentified wild animals. The following day, we returned to the location to recover the bodies but they were nowhere to be found.Military authorities have requested that we hand over Koen's body as proof of his death. But due to the circumstances described above, it will be a difficult task to recover the corpse.I am requesting that this case be temporarily closed until further notice.
