Recovery Root is the non-binary ship between Tree and the TPOT Recovery Center from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Two orders the Recovery Center and it lands in the Grasslands. Tree pushes past Two to recover Bottle. He slowly types Bottle's name as Pen becomes more and more impatient. Tree recovers Bottle using the center and walks away. During the contest, Remote dies due to acid. Tree brings his team over to the Recovery Center to recover Remote. Remote get's recovered but then Rocky barfs acid on her, causing her to die. Marker keeps Rocky away from the slot when Tree recovers her again, though more quickly as he is agitated by Rocky. After Death P.A.C.T's battle with Teardrop, Tree goes to the Recovery Center. He recovers Fanny, Marker, and Lightning. Tree dies due to falling blocks resulting in a heavy impact. Tree is recovered from the Recovery Center by Two off-screen. Tree announces that they could forfeit the challenge and focus on preventing death. Black Hole pressures Fanny to recover Tree with the Recovery Center. Fanny yells back angrily at Black Hole, saying that she also wants their friend back as well. Fanny types Tree's name into the Recovery Center and he is recovered. Fanny and Black Hole are confused however, as Tree didn't fall out of the slot. Marker then tries recovering Tree, but to no avail. Fanny quickly recovers Tree and Marker from the Recovery Center after returning to the lobby due to them dying to Robot Flower. Death P.A.C.T Yet Again attempt to kill of the bugs inside of the Hotel. Tree uses the Recovery Center to his advantage by luring the bugs into the slot, and slamming the door onto them. He kills about eight bugs using the Recovery Center. The Recovery Center is cheering Tree on as he's killing the bugs.
Fanon[]
Recovery Root is a rarepair in the fandom within the fandom. The Recovery Centers in the series aren't treated like characters in the fandom despite the fact that numerous have shown life and conscience within their text on their interfaces. Usually talking about the current events or attempting to interact with the cast. Due to this, there aren't a lot of ships surrounding them. This ship is very small with only a few shippers. Tree doesn't interact with the Recovery Center a lot, only using it to recover his teammates despite the fact the Recovery Center is alive. The Recovery Center also didn't interact with Tree as it's purpose was only to recover people. As of TPOT 13 however, The Recovery Center and Tree interacted without being used for recovery and The Recovery Center seemed to enjoy being used a different way and even cheered Tree on, which got the two of them to be shipped slightly more. Their rival ships are Recover Vision, the ship between TV and the TPOT Recovery Center and Double Recovery, the ship between Two and the TPOT Recovery Center.
