Reichirou is the het ship between Rei Hino and Yuuichirou Kumada from the Sailor Moon fandom.
Canon[]
In the classic anime, Yuuichirou is found at Hikawa Shrine sleeping on the stairs. The moment he sees Rei, he falls massively in love with her, and begs Rei's grandfather to allow him to become an apprentice at the shrine so he can see more of Rei. He is put through an intensive training program by him, but is determined not to give up.
Later, after hearing that the girls wanted to go to the Moonlight Course ski resort, Yuuichirou offers them lodging since he is from a wealthy family and has a place there. Rei asks why someone from such a rich family would choose to work at the shrine, and he told her that he wanted to better himself. While Rei and Usagi are on the Moon Princess Ski Course, Yuuichirou finds them and tells Rei to keep on skiing. He eventually jumps down into the crevice made by a Youma to protect Rei from the giant snowball chasing after her. He doesn't stand a chance is run over. He is able to find the two again after digging a tunnel in the snow. He invites Rei to leave, taking her hand, but the Youma stops them. Yuuichirou tries to protect Rei again, but is frozen solid by the Youma's attack. After the Youma is defeated, he thaws out, Rei calls him a "useless idiot" and kisses him on the cheek.
One day, Rei makes Yuuichirou carry a bunch of heavy packages so that he can't see. As a result, he bumps into Koan from the Black Moon Clan. Rei gets angry at him for dropping everything and staring at Koan. Yuuichirou says he feels like he's met her before. Koan later comes to Hikawa Shrine to kill Chibiusa. Yuuichirou stops her by hitting with a broom, making her angry. Koan attacks Yuuichirou and Rei, so Yuuichirou blocks Rei from the fire with his body, gravely injuring him. Koan doesn't understand why he would want to protect a girl who was so mean to him, but he says it's because it's the only way he can show his love for her. Rei transforms into Sailor Mars to get back at Koan. Koan attacks Yuuichirou, but Sailor Mars rescues him, scorching her leg in the process. Koan says that if she hadn't done anything, she wouldn't have hurt herself, but Mars says Yuuichirou was only in that state because he tried to protect her, so she couldn't just leave him.
He later is worried for Rei's health when he continually sees her staying up at night and concentrating hard on fire-reading. He also sees Haruka interacting with Rei. Because he mistakes Haruka as a man, he thinks she is in a relationship with Rei and becomes jealous and depressed. When he sees Michiru with Haruka he thinks that Haruka is cheating on Rei leading him to fight Haruka. Rei intervenes to stop him, so Yuuichirou gives up and just tells Haruka to be happy with Reai and break up with Michiru. He decides to leave town, and Rei chases after him. As soon as Yuuichirou boards the train, he is attacked by a Daimon, so Rei transforms to help him. After being rescued, Rei explains it all to him while she is caring for him.

- Episode 45: Rei wishes she had kissed Yuuichirou before she left to fight the Dark Kingdom.
Fanon[]
Rei x Yuuichirou is a relatively common ship in the fandom. It's the one of the most popular het ships for Rei, and the most popular ship for Yuuichirou, although Yuuichirou ships aren't common at all. It rivals other more popular Rei shippings, such as ReiUsa, Reideite or Reinako. The popularity of the ship is also influenced by that many fans do not take Yuuchirou seriously due to the fact that, despite the semi-canon in the anime, he is absent from the manga and closer to it Crystal.
