Revelda is a het ship between Revali and Princess Zelda from The Legend of Zelda fandom.

Canon[]

Princess Zelda recruits Revali as the Champion of Divine Beast Vah Medoh as she does with the other Champions. They are devoted to their duties to help protect Hyrule against Calamity Ganon who is about to return to destroy the world, with Revali's will to become stronger to hold his own while the princess trains vigorously to unlock her dormant power, required to defeat Ganon.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild[]

According to Revali's journal, Princess Zelda met with him to make a proposition for him to be Vah Medoh's pilot, and when Revali asked about their plan, he immediately regrets it when he learns that he will be helping Link, the one chosen by the Master Sword to defeat Calamity Ganon, and was about to turn it down when she further pleaded with him that Hyrule needs his help. Revali was turned off by how corny it was, but he still remembered the look on her face, noting how sincere she was being. He then plans to accept but decides to have her wait a while. Sometime later, Revali learns that Zelda will drop by the following day to receive his answer, which he looks forward to since he is close to mastering his new gale.

In the Champion Revali's Song memory, Princess Zelda was approaching the Flight Range where Revali was practicing his new gale, but to his shock, he ended up getting caught in the wind and thrown into the ground. Revali chastises himself for this mishap and is determined to push himself much harder, though as he is catching his breath, he sees the princess watching him and reprimands her for eavesdropping on him. She apologizes for it and explains that she was told by the villagers that she would find him here. Revali already figures that she wishes for him to become the Champion and accepts, which the princess is grateful for, though Revali interrupts her and summons the updraft and does not fall this time and begins shooting at targets in record time, to the amazement of the princess. At the conclusion, Revali states that he is aware that he is assisting the knight with the Master Sword and tells Zelda that if Link loses his confidence as a result of him being in action, she should not go crying to him. During the Subdued Ceremony memory, Revali notes to Daruk on how abysmal Link's personal ceremony is and notes that he is on the same page as her in regard to Link before Urbosa hushes him. At the same time, the Revali's Flap memory takes place, Revali's journal makes a brief note that the princess is on official business with the Rito Village elder.

In Revali's final entry in the journal, Revali was informed by Daruk that they must escort the princess to Mt. Lanayru in the morning and to meet with her at sunset, he was bothered about doing this, but he still remembered the look of determination and desperation on her face which continues to haunt him, noting that anyone can see how her how much sacred duties have weighed on her as well as her repeated failure. Revali admits that he struggles to understand the issues of those who are not as talented as he is, but he tries his best to show empathy, and even when she tries her hardest, it is not enough. He does not see her off in the morning but decides to join the rest of the Champions to meet with her and Link.

In the Return of Calamity Ganon memory, as Link and the princess return, with the latter's face looking discouraged, Revali takes notice and already confirms that she did not get the desired results. When Calamity Ganon emerged, Revali acted by using his gale to fly up where he bore witness to the events unfolding where he affirms is true. Revali and the Champions head to their Divine Beasts where they lost their lives, and Princess Zelda mourns their loss with Link and later awakens her power to protect Link from the corrupted Guardians and made several arrangements before using her power to hold Calamity Ganon in Hyrule Castle for a hundred years.

According to Impa, Zelda's message to Link was to free the Divine Beasts, and when Link manages to liberate Vah Medoh, Revali expresses gratitude to him and as Link leaves, he tells him that Zelda has been waiting for a long time. Once Link is able to purify all of them, the princess will praise him for his efforts.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity[]

Revali and Zelda's interactions were noticeably lesser than it was in Breath of the Wild, but they still carry the same comradery as they did previously. During the scuffle between him and Link, she shouts for them to stop, which they successfully managed to do. As Revali explains the situation with her regarding a Guardian similar to Terrako having previously attacked his village, Zelda expresses relief that neither of them are hurt and as they discuss their next move, Revali accepts her call to become the Rito Champion while doubting Link's competence. Some scenes have Revali looking at Zelda in concern whenever she becomes anxious. Their in-game interactions do show that they do indeed care for each other and Princess Zelda and Link would go all out to rescue him and Teba from Windblight Ganon, allowing him to remain alive.

Fanon[]

While many fans have speculated that Revali had unrequited feelings for Zelda, the actual ships that pair Revali and Princess Zelda together is pretty uncommon. Fans note in Revali's journal where he gives his thoughts on the princess further exploration, certain sections have suggested that Revali might also have a crush on her, with him stating that it was not that he dislikes the princess and acknowledges that she is putting in so much effort. Another one has him stating that she is one of the few exceptions of Hylians who thought of themselves when she tried to recruit him the first time, and during the Return of Calamity Ganon, where he asks the princess on her progress, Revali's voice tone is visibly somber. Also, fans have seen how Revali and Princess Zelda have so much in common with one another since they have worked hard to reach their goals while Link and the other Champions were born with their skills or were child prodigies in their own right, and how they viewed Link initially before their opinions have improved over time.
