Rexanidala is the poly ship between Captain Rex, Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala from the Star Wars fandom.

The morning that the team is meant to go on a mission, Anakin pulls Rex aside and tells him that they have something they need to do first. He then takes him to the barraks and has Rex stand outside and guard the door while he call Padmé. As they converse, Rex knocks on the door to signal that Obi-Wan is coming. Padmé sees that something is wrong, and Anakin tells her that he's worried about Rex. He believes that Rex is letting his personal feelings drive him and Padmé sarcastically asks where he could have learned that. Padmé points out that Rex is there when Anakin throws caution to the wind, and says that might be where Anakin needs to be for him right now. Anakin says that he's just trying to look out for him, and Padmé says that she knows he is. They end their call and Anakin joins Rex and Obi-Wan outside, trying to play like he wasn't just calling Padmé. However, as the two leave, Obi-Wan asks if he at least told Padmé he said hello, much to Rex and Anakin's shock.

Rexanidala is a rarepair in the Star Wars fandom. This is due to the limited interactions between all three at once, especially during the Clone Wars TV series. While Anakin is close with both Rex and Padmé, Padmé and Rex's interactions are limited. Making it hard for some to imagine all three together. Despite this, there are many fans who see the potential for all three to be together. With many seeing it as a solution as a fandom love triangle as well.
Most often the ship is depicted as Rex being in love with Anakin while the latter is married to Padmé. With Anakin falling in love with him as Padmé encourages the two to be open about their feelings. Followed by the three entering a relationship where Rex and Padmé share Anakin. This is also typically followed by Padmé and Rex falling in love with each other, or the two becoming friends. On AO3, there are currently 110+ written works.
