RidoAce is the slash ship between Riddle Rosehearts and Ace Trappola from the Twisted Wonderland fandom.

Canon

When Riddle first met Ace during the opening ceremonies for the new students, he had a feeling that Ace would be trouble, and feels pity for the Housewarden who'll have to deal with him, before Ace gets sorted into Heartslabyul. Having Riddle state that he'll have to drill proper manners into Ace, before he educates him on the Queen of Hearts' rules, that their dorm follows. Ace proves Riddle's opinion of him when Ace snuck out of of the ceremony from being board, after Riddle told Ace to sit down and wait with the other students, leaving Riddle to hunt him down after noticing that Ace was gone. Riddle came close to finding Ace, but he manages to give Heartslabyul's Housewarden the slip and make his way to the dorm, after his close call.

Because Ace is still learning the Queen's rules, while Riddle knows all of them by heart, it caused trouble between them in book 1, though Ace will take the new Riddle to the "teapot tyrant" he first knew him as any day. Every now and again Ace would scold Riddle when he becomes upset with him, or simply complains about Riddle behind his back. Since Riddle still collars rule breakers or those who don't do well in class. Despite their rocky start and not always agreeing, mostly about Riddle's temper, Ace has developed a soft spot for Riddle, and even protect him from harm. Along with wishing that Riddle would show him the similar kind of kindness that he gives the hedgehogs, Ace began to take care of them to get on Riddle's good side. Ace finds joy in impressing Riddle as it leads to receiving commitments from him, as well as Ace becoming impressed by Riddle like he did at the end of the Phantom Bride event. Saying that after seeing how cool Riddle was with his magic it has Ace wanting to get better with his.

Riddle still has trouble trusting Ace, knowing how calculating and lacking that Ace can be. Along with Riddle complaining about the way Ace presents himself, wanting Ace to dress more smartly, and has trouble approving of Ace's use of language. Riddle can also tell when Ace is trying to get himself out of trouble with him, or when he is up to something. Just as Ace tries to trick his Housewarden, Riddle knows how to play Ace right into his hands, by saying the right things that would have Ace wanting to prove himself in tasks he wouldn't want to do.

Main Story

Most of book 1 has tension between Ace and Riddle, after Ace unknowingly eats a tart that was ment for the unbirthday party and the Queen's rules having Ace's actions be seen as theft, Riddle collars him as punishment. Blocking Ace's magic, until it gets removed by Riddle himself, and is unable to return to the dorm. Even though Ace was unaware that he broke one of its rules, as he was still learning what they are. Riddle had planned to remove the collar the following morning, until he over hears Ace call him a petty tyrant, who has an obsession with his out of control rules. Before Ace realised that Riddle was right behind him when he said those things about him, though it doesn't stop Ace from trying to ask Riddle to remove the collar. Riddle refuses to, from seeing Ace lack remorse for his actions. With help from the others Ace is able to make a tart to replace the one he ate as an apology, and was told that chestnut tarts are Riddle's favourite, but the Queen's rules has Riddle reject it. Chestnut tarts weren't allowed to be brought to an unbirthday party, and Ace becomes upset that one of their dorm's rules has Riddle reject the tart he worked so hard on. Making Ace feel that Riddle was overreacting to something so small and ridiculous.

Becoming frustrated with Riddle and the dorm's rules, Ace refuses to apologies and tries to get the other students to stand up to Riddle, but their fears of having their magic blocked kept them from doing so. When Riddle orders Ace to show obedience he refuses to bow to an self-important tyrant, having Riddle order Trey and Cater to remove Ace, Deuce, Grim and the prefect from Heartslabyul. With Ace being given the option to transfer to another, but the thought made it feel like he would be running with his tail between his legs, he goes with the option to duel Riddle for the role of Housewarden. That way he'll be able to make Riddle admit to his mistakes and apologise to him, as well as not having the students of Heartslabyul follow it's long list of crazy rules, like Riddle does.

Though Riddle removes the collars before the duel, he puts them back on Ace and Deuce the moment the duel started, without giving the two the change to act any spells of their own. As Riddle insults Ace's partners for not having great magical capabilities, like his were, Ace punches him in the face. With Ace learning from Trey the day before on what Riddle's parents put him through growing up, it gets Ace to berate Riddle on how children are not their parent's trophies and then blames Riddle for his one shortcomings. By pointing out on how Riddle failed to make one friend who would call him out on his behaviour without fear of him, and this gets the other students to finally stand up to Riddle. After unknown student throws an egg to Riddle's head and he reacts to this by collaring everyone in the surrounding aria, Ace doubles down to shame Riddle for his temper tantrum, as he calls Riddle a baby, and even refuses to apologize after Riddle threatens to skewer him. Riddle following through on his threat by animating the garden's rose trees to tear Ace to pieces, but gets saved by Trey who over rights Riddle's magic, it causes to Riddle overblot. With overblot victims perishing if not stopped, Ace begins to attack Riddle with magic in order to snap him out of it, with help from the others who decided to stay and help save Riddle.

After Riddle regained consciousness Ace calls Trey out for still cuddling Riddle, with how that approach has turned out in the past, while Riddle starts to apologize for how he acted. Though Ace got the apology he was aiming for, he felt that it wasn't enough for what they just been through. Riddle asks Ace how he should make it up to him, and Ace says that they'll be squared between them when Riddle presents a tart for the do-over unbirthday party, but cannot have any help in making it like he did with his. Even though Ace was still left with the task to clean up for the party, the tart Riddle made doesn't taste good and Ace still scolds Trey for cuddling Riddle, Ace prefers the new Riddle to the old one.
