Rockbulb is the friendship between Lightbulb and Rocky from the Battle for Dream Island and Inanimate Insanity fandoms.
Canon[]
In "BFDI & Inanimate Insanity Meet Up!", Lightbulb is seen running with an invitation in her hands. It reads: You are IInvited". Just then, she trips on something. It turns out she tripped on Rocky. She saw he was invited to a party of his own. She gives his invitation back, but he pushes it back to her. She realises that he wants her to come with him. Lightbulb, however, tells him that she wants him to come on her way. She sees they're on a crossroad that separates the two places. She asks herself which way they want to go. Suddenly, Rocky gives her a coin to decide fate. She picks it up and flips it. She tells Rocky that his road is heads and hers is tails. As the coin is flipping, Lightbulb is staring nervously, while Rocky is just sitting and smiling. The coin lands on heads and the two go through Rocky's way. Lightbulb, worried, asks Rocky if he thinks she'll be able to get along with his friends. He nods. At first, it seemed like BFDI's contestants were liking her. But when Snowball commented on how he never met her, everyone started to hold a grudge against her, some even thinking Leafy sold Dream Island to her. Lightbulb gets concerned, so she whispers to Rocky how everyone is looking and pointing at her. She asks him if it means she's already popular. Rocky shakes his head in disagreement. Lightbulb, saddened, looks at the contestants and tells him to shake no more. Later, the two and Firey all jump at the same time.
In "Inanimate Insanity & BFDI Meet Up!", the plot plays out the same, only that Lightbulb wins. When the coin lands on tails, Lightbulb cheers. She exclaims how she can't wait for Rocky to meet her friends. As she's introducing him to everyone, she gets interrupted by Nickel. He explains how he and Rocky have competed together, but Lightbulb doesn't believe him. To try to prove Nickel's story, she asks Rocky if he's familiar with a coin she's holding, showing a silver side (tails). He ignores her question and sits next to him.
Fanon[]
Because they're from two different object shows, Rockbulb never got any light to shine. It wasn't until the meetup videos where the two had interactions between each other. They are both characterized as fun and whimsical characters, which makes them good friends. Fans also liked how nicely Lightbulb treated Rocky, making it more believable they are very good friends. Ships similar to Rockbulb (ones between BFDI and Inanimate Insanity) are Twophone, Marshatin and Puffphone.
