RodSam is the het ship between Rodney and Samey from the Total Drama fandom.

Overview[]
Samey is one of the few female contestants on the island, who Rodney actually didn't look to favorably upon. Like most other islanders, Rodney was gaslit by Amy into believing that Samey was a mean and abusive sister and he resented her for how she allegedly treated Amy. However, he did technically fall in love with her, even though he thought she was Amy at the time.
Total Drama Pahkitew Island[]
SO, UH, THIS IS MY TEAM?
Upon arriving on Total Drama Pahkitew Island, Rodney was put on the same team as Samey, this being Pimâpotew Kinosewak. During the first challenge, Rodney and Samey had to work together to retrieve stuff for their fort from the junk pile, while Chef shot tennis balls at them. Rodney saved Samey and Amy from being pelted by tennis balls, by scooping them up in a wheelbarrow and carrying them out of harm's way.
TWINNING ISN'T EVERYTHING
Rodney thanks Amy for picking the berries for the team to eat at their picnic and Samey corrects him, saying that it was her who picked the berries. Amy calls Samey an attention hog and Samey lashes out at Amy for abusing her. Amy plays victim and starts crying, leading Rodney to come to his "girlfriend's" defense, calling out Samey for being so mean to her sister. Samey gets frustrated with everyone siding with Amy and leaves in a huff. Later in the episode, while Amy and Samey are arguing, Rodney politely asks Samey if he could borrow Amy to break up with her in favor of Jasmine.
I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU KNOTS
At a team picnic, Samey (who's pretending to be Amy), puts her hand on Rodney's shoulder and offers him some fruit. Rodney immediately falls head over heels for her. In the confessional, Rodney over-analyzes the interaction and believes that when "Amy" said "Hey", she was making a move on him. Back at the picnic scene, Rodney reciprocated Samey's so-called "feelings" and tried to impress her by telling her that she was better at picking berries than Samey. This only angered Samey, as she was secretly Samey, deep down. However, she had to keep up with the Amy act and accepted the compliment. Despite them having little to no interactions beyond this point, Rodney still considered himself to be in a relationship with "Amy". Rodney eventually finds out that he is in three relationships with "Amy", Jasmine, and Scarlett. Rodney felt the need to confess his co-called adultery to his "girlfriends" before he was voted off. He gathered together the three girls as he was stuck in the cannon of shame and blustered out a bunch of gibberish before he was finally launched out to sea. Samey thought little of Rodney after this and there was never any mention of him again.
Fanon[]
Rodney and Samey are a decently common ship in the fandom. Fans theorize that if Rodney had the time to become more understanding of Samey, he would have fallen in love with her for who she was. Fans also consider this to be a necessary relationship for Samey, as she deserves someone who would be nice and treat her right, especially after all the abuse she goes through from Amy. Even though Rodney is a bit of a dweeb, he's one of the few single men on the island who's above average, making him just barely classify as a worthy suitor for her.
