Rubmatch is the femslash ship between Ruby and Match from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Ruby and Donut hold Match back so she can't switch to the larger team.
While putting ingredients in a bowl together with Pencil, Match asks Ruby if she wants to join her alliance. After learning about Bubble and Ice Cube not counting at the moment, Ruby accepts the offer. Ruby later stops Match and Pencil from using a bubble wand to blow Bubble back to life.
Ruby confesses to Match and Pencil that she hesitated on reviving Bubble thinking that she would be kicked out of the alliance if Bubble returns. Match assures her that it is acceptable for the alliance to have four members, mitigating Ruby's worries. When Bubble kicks Ruby away out of confusion, Match informs her that Ruby is now apart of their alliance.
Ruby calls Match a nice person after seeing her catch Firey when he falls off the Eiffel Tower. Match later frowns when Ruby is shattered by the point of the tower.
Match and Ruby, along with Bubble and Pencil, are having a dance party in their Clubhouse of Awesomeness.
While everyone else is busy cranking the Hand-powered Hand-powered Recovery Center Creator, Match invites Book and Ruby to her break time. Match and Ruby play their version of patty-cake, Spongy Cake, to pass the time. Later when reunited with the rest of the team, Match complains that she's bored of driving through the desert. Ruby pulls out her mini-fridge of snowballs and throws one at her. The two, along with Book and Bubble, are caught up in a snowball fight in the van.
Match is upset when Ruby accidentally glues down their recovery center on Yoyleland grass, claiming she ruined everything again.
In Battle for BFDI, Match and Ruby are seen throughout with Bubble and Pencil. Match leans her arm on Ruby while they are watching Bubble count. The four later end up on the same team for the new competition of the season. For the first challenge, Ruby hops along with her team as Match cheers them on to jump to the basket. Ruby closes her eyes when Match tells her to, saying to her the sun's photons are hitting her eyes and causing her to not jump as high.
During the team's first Cake at Stake ceremony of the season, Match compliments Ruby when she is safe.
The two roleplay and show off a drawing of Four to him and X during the challenge of making over Four.
Match and Ruby are playing Spongy Cake before Flower pulls Ruby aside to talk to her. When Ruby comes back, Match informs her that she started playing the game with Spongy himself.
Aw, Seriously?[]
Ruby is one of the people Match interviews to be her assistant. She instead offers Match to be her assistant, to which Match rejects. As Match shows off her new assistants to Pencil, Ruby refuses to say what Match believes to be her catchphrase, "please please please". Ruby later wails that Match only sees her as an assistant as well as when Match's factory burns down.

Rubmatch is considered to be a rarepair in the Battle for Dream Island fandom. Works involving the two are more often to group them together with Pencil and Bubble, evident in both fan art and fan-fiction. With just Match and Ruby, those who support the pair have noticed that Match finds Ruby much less of an annoyance than Pencil does. Fans have also noticed that both Match and Ruby are two of Pencil's closest friends, seeing how Pencil allows the two to call them the nickname "Pence-Pence" she doesn't allow anyone else to. Videos on TikTok showcase moments between the two, such as them playing Spongy Cake and bonding within their team. The pairing rivals ships with the others in the alliance, such as Matchcil (Match x Pencil), Rubycil (Ruby x Pencil), and Matchble (Match x Bubble) as well as Ruby's most popular ship Floweruby (Flower x Ruby).
